Such a disingenuous discussion. First of all, the official foreign public debt doesn't include SBP deposits by Saudia, China, etc. It also doesn't include CPEC commercial borrowings by IPPs, PI, etc. Even if multilateral credit is of low interest , it still will be more than LIBOR+. Things were fine as long as 🇵🇰 could take new dollar loans to pay back old loans & interest, but with credit rating as ccb-, 🇵🇰 no longer can borrow money. 🇵🇰 has no option but to go for restructuring

Stupid discussion, Pakistan deferred $12 billions debt with 3 countries, borrowed $2 billions from open market, borrowed $ 7 billions from IMF. -another $ 4 billions is coming from ADB/WB. You have no ability to pay back domestic and international debt.

Pakistan has to keep borrowing heavily to pay it's soldiers and maintain equipment. A big chunk of these borrowings will only keep going just there. 7b might bring it breathing space for a year or two, but that's where you'll find the can that you kicked from up the road.

It's strange hearing words other than jihad, mullah, kashmir, Mohamed etc. coming out of the mouths of pakistanis. Even that last prime minister who is now in jail went to the UN and started talking about their religion.

Commit 50,000 troops to Russia. Quarterly rotation. Total troops outlay 200,000. Russia will lay pipeline and supply gas and oil at same rates at which they supplied to Germany or even lower.
Cheap energy fixed. Anyway the country has an abundance of labour. Move production facilities from China. Economy works to the benefit of its people at large, not just elites.
Challenge is the currency in which the economy will operate. USD or Russian Ruble or Yuan or Pakistani Rupee or gold standard?
The same pipeline with 10 times more capacity can be extended to India. Will provide economies of scale for transportation infrastructure.
Reduces geopolitical tensions across the region.

Israel also needs some troops. Pak army specializes in killing Palestinians Just look at Zia killing in Jordon.

@@rakadus I keep seeing pakistani people making this argument without a sense of understanding, so many wrong assumptions in this analysis.
First, sovereign countries do not supply troops as private security guards or mercenaries but given pakistan's history even if they're willing to do that, it will face severe repercussions from its western masters. Second, Laying down pipeline is costly, risky and needs peace and stability. The pipeline will come from either Afghanistan or Iran, no financial institutions will back such a high risk yet super costly project in such troubled area.
India's view about a pipeline coming from Pakistan is well versed, there is a reason nobody talks about TAPI now. It goes against the policy of isolation it uses against Pakistan. Recent Indian investment for renewable tech, green hydrogen and nuclear energy diversification is further proof that India seeks most dissociation in this sector. Most energy imports would be sea borne but If India would seek a pipeline someday, it would rather be a under sea pipeline from Iran.
