Glad it was useful! Yeah is a shame about that lens, for the money it’s still really good but needing to get that close to the subject, even with adding light onto the subject, just makes it really difficult to get a well exposed shot
I think you're absolutely right on that last point. For the last couple of days I've been sweating over which macro lens to purchase first and I've come to the conclusion that no matter which one I buy, it's only going to make me wish I had saved the money and bought one of the 90mm 2.8' G's so that's what I'm gonna do.
