Respect for this vid. Letting the machine operator show the procedure. And respect to Titan for giving this man the opportunity. It takes one to know one Titan, Jeff knows his stuff. Keep that good work rolling gentlemen.
I am glad that someone had the luck to start like this. I was out of school straight to a new CNC machine, without experience or proper training, with no one to show me how to work. After a year of frustration, I was out of milling... After a few years, I ended up on a co2 laser. That was easier, but I can't get over that starting failure with CNC milling job. You look like supporting and a good boss. Be good to your boys and I am sure that they will be equally good to you. By the way, nice machine. Wish you many finished parts with her. Good luck!
That machine is HUGE! Thanks Jeff for giving us entry level guys inspiration to continue the trade. I'm glad that Titan is showing more of his employees on the videos!
We got all Makinos in our shop a51nx and this a81’x controller is definitely way different and user friendly. Hope to get a a81nx as our next HMC center... pretty nice 10 quick tips for people who are not very familiar with HMC centers. And Makino definitely is a beast in itself
Love the A81. About a year ago the company I work for ended up purchasing one and gave me the opportunity to help set it up and run it. It took me some time to get used to the touch screen though lol.
I wish you had made this video a couple of years ago when we first got our a51nx in. One thing i have found helpful is For changing pallets without having to go back to the part ready switch is use “m60 m69” In MDI to change pallets.
The Pro 6 control is pretty nice, very good layout of the hard buttons and they even put that handlebar on the bottom to rest your hands. For some reason the Background edit doesn't let me read ahead through the whole program as it's running, which was possible on the Pro 5.
This machine have cooled core ballscrews. Also the flange of the motors for the axis are cooled. The b axis have a jacket cooling and the Spindel itself is also cooled. You have to warmup ofcourse. But it’s super stabil when it is warmed up.
Doesn’t this machine have a balluff chip reader on it? If it did then you can set the tools up offline on a presetter and then automatically transfer the tool offsets to the machine when the tool is loaded.
Balluff tool interface is an option. It is more common in high volume automation installations. It is a good system to eliminate errors in loading tool length and diameter offsets but there are other standard systems in the Pro.6 control that can prevent offset entry errors.
Not going to lie guys.. I dropped a tab about 30 minutes ago with no prior understanding of Cnc machining ... either this guys a good teacher .. or this acid hits .. maybe both
Hey Titan, another great Video, and this may be off topic a bit, but why have you been using Master Cam lately for your machining instead of fusion.. I'm asking as a Fusion user, I have never used Master Cam.. Keep up the great work and Merry Christmas sir!
@Marius Ipad Actually, moron, his comment was quite obviously pointed at an owner, not an operator. Besides, this whole video was quite literally something they put together for the guy who's running it currently and to give him some screen time. He's going to be on camera a lot in the next few months, why not a few practice runs? Oh wait, the RUclips expert machinists can't handle such a thing! Gather your unified idiocy and take to the comment section at once!
This is nice because there is a DMG DMU100P on its way to us and it wil most likely not be the only one. There is plan to get a second one 1 year or even less after the first one gets in.
A bit confused why a $300 laptop with Fusion 360 or Solidworks is not connected directly adjacent to the $500k machine so that you do not have to manually load like you were in a retro 80's film.
I agree partialy. It does help to set up network with your machine and PC. But maybe doesnt make sence if your doing many parts, production parts. If you need to set up 10+ diffrent parts and programs a day, then you basically need to set up data transfer trough the network to Save on time
A DNC system would make more sense than a laptop connected to the machine out on the floor. All programming is done offline and loaded into a program queue.
Usually you set up a network so you don't have to fuss around with anything like that. Programming PCs or Laptops have no place in a production environment where it is loud, potentially dirty and definitely busy all around you.
Hi Titan, would You please make some business plan for at least 1 CNC, example You can make business plan for Makino a81nx, You may explain how much the price, how much electricity needed, how much to pay the CAD CAM programmer, how much to pay the Makino operator, and how much money could be earn from operating those Makino a81nx, thx a lot.

I love working with Makino. I have Makino a61nx in work. Very fast and precise machine.

Very user friendly, I found this when I was using the makino wire eroder..... Very impressive machines
Love this sort of video, it's cool seeing how things are done on other people's machines
Thanks a lot for your good knowledge, much appreciation, from Trinidad and Tobago ,Caribbean.
Titan is a great dude!
You seem like a great boss to work for Titan, there ain’t many out there so respect to you 👍🏻
Merry Christmas!
I need more of the Aerospace Part 😭
Nice hoody, I think I order one to Germany 😉👍🏻
Happy Holidays!!!
Love how we’re giving the tutorial on this CNC machine like everyone has one
I wish you had made this video a couple of years ago when we first got our a51nx in.

Cool video....how do you deal with thermal expansion on such a huge machine? You did not talk about a warm up program.
This machine have cooled core ballscrews. Also the flange of the motors for the axis are cooled. The b axis have a jacket cooling and the Spindel itself is also cooled. You have to warmup ofcourse. But it’s super stabil when it is warmed up.
Can you give trick for tapping retraction when soft z axis over travel
What does JOG mean advertised
I like that tool changer.
You need hand crank to load it.
That's because tools are so heavy
still waiting for the mastercam cam lesson for the t1m
It’s being edited now.

Optional possible. Just the same when you order a car. Your choice what you want.

Taking you to the next level like the Matrix... Free your mind.
Professional machines

I am teaching both now... and they both have their advantages. Mastercam is ITAR approved which is why I added it
How about showing some finished parts in the machining process 😨. Have a great 🎄🎅 Christmas and a very happy 💰 new year. 🙋
Probing videos would be very useful. Also ideology of machining. Programming centerline of rotation of 4th axis ets.
When you gonna make video on indian machine
Makino makes the best machines in the world
#TeamMakino
Like if you agree
BOOM!
I run a Makino A81nx
If you own this machine and need those tips, you're in big trouble
Owning it and learning how to run it are two different things.
Basic stuff
that's what i've been saying since day 1, ego man ego.

Be prepared to pay high maintenance fees. DMG break down a lot. A more reliable machine is a Mitsui Sieke
Uhhu ... we have about 20 30 dmg machines mate ....

A $300 laptop will not work for very much as far as CAM software is concerned.
A DNC system would make more sense than a laptop connected to the machine out on the floor. All programming is done offline and loaded into a program queue.

Bang on. Short, simple, perfectly put. 👍
What is engineering design of cnc ??? Please make a video on this topic please

I wonder how much this Center costs
Id guess 1.5-2 mill. Depending on options
This is not DMG Mori stuff ... Makino is made for heavy cutting, so you pay for it.
keith deraux They’re not quite that expensive. More like $500k or so.
G0 Z-9999,99 S6000 M3 , and the Makino go on the top of performances 😂😂😂😂😱😱😱😱
Pushes the table to hell 😂
