Great video! I loved the drone shots and the commentary. I’ve noticed farms starting to use land sweeps here and there on dryland farms in the south and been curious about running one as opposed to spring herbicide application and this might convince me to start really looking into it. Seems like a pretty innovative tool. Great work!
@@MTfarmerJake Appreciate it! So far we enjoy it. We try to be minimal till and like to plant cotton into wheat stubble so I’m not sure how much use this tools will use but so far it has done a great job.
Hi from Australia.... Its doing what its aurpose to do with the sweep points, heavy stubble will always be a bit of a problem... Thats the fun of farming when you get plugs...😂 Stay safe... O'yes.. just subscribed..😊
It seems like a pretty good machine. I just wonder about the plugging. i saw you swung around in the ground like you would the normal field cultivators and stuff. I’d like to try and pull one with our 9r. but i also wonder if i could put 12in cultivator sweeps on a chisel and do a similar job.
We bought a 3pt mounted version of this plow a couple weeks ago and we were having issues with it plugging pretty bad on disked wheat stubble but I think it's more that the coulters up front are too close to the sweeps cause we ran it in another field that had less wheat stubble and it did ok.
@@farmers_daughter_1108 very true! We don’t typically run into the night unless it’s harvest and the 8370r is mainly used for tillage and running a drill.

@@JustFarm11 appreciate it! I’m actually going to be running it today doing some custom work for a neighbor
Hello! It would be better to have some more disc coulters!
Greetings from Portugal.

@@jamessontag5898 really isn’t too bad. It plugged maybe 4 times the whole field
What percent of tint is on that tractor?
@@farmers_daughter_1108 I honestly have no clue we bought it used last two summers ago.
@@Bar_S_Farms Well it looks really cool! We’ve been thinking about tinting some of our tractors but then it would be hard to see out of at night
