Todd McFarlane is an artist first and has always said he'd prefer to make figures look realistic than give them good articulation. Considering that his old figures were basically statues until the Fortnite line dropped, the company's definitely found a good balance between the two aspects with its figures. Would defo like to see you paint more McFarlane figures, they're really cool! Maybe some Gotham Knights figures, particularly Robin! I think it would be really cool if you also made a throne diorama for this Black Adam 👀
@@KenIMakeIt Todd himself told us about how much the costs of shipping have reason, gave us some figures, but said the reason he can keep the costs of the figures down is because the company is private, whereas Hasbro is public and has obligations to shareholders. It's really nice that McFarlane still makes £20 figures that usually justify their value.
Spoiler: You should do a part 2 on this figure and do his look at the end of the film when he has the restored, vibrant, saturated gold parts on the costume, maybe see if you can add his cape too. Now that would be a challenge!
So glad you're going to do some McFarlane figures, because basically they're amazing sculpts with bare bones paint jobs. I just got the Darkseid Luthor (because you get a cool throne with it) and that plain blue figure is just begging to be customised, but there are so many to choose from! Good luck narrowing it down!

Great work on the head! The lightning bolt is also a huge improvement. My only nitpick is the gold should be brighter at this point in the movie or the lightning bolt should be darker like the beginning

What did you use to make his face look sweaty? Looks amazing. I was thinking of applying some powder graphite to get that black metalic reflective shine to his suit.
by the way sir, i wish u can make a tutorial video on how to paint spider-man eyes, I repainted my factory paint defect spiderman eyes, but it got worst when i repainted his eyes. 😭
hate that the movie aesthetic has taken over the animated/comic aesthetic. I miss the fully saturated toybiz colors. It really puts me of from collecting allot of figures these days, I mostly buy old stuff on ebay.

I like Rock. but the overall look is poor. In the comics black Adam has pointed ears. The production department should have dyed his face and gives him pointed ears prosthetics. Lacking in the imaginative quality of DCs finest 👇👎

Ya, I can tell the McFarlane toys have more care put into them! … it’s a bit surprising that Marvel Legends are more costly now.

Prolly a clear gloss coating paint
And now you have to redo this figure again with a cape, since if you know what happens in the movie you know.

The logo was what bugged me with the original, it looks so nice now. It used to look like cheddar cheese 😂
The proportions on this figure are just slightly off, I think the shoulders look really strange.

I believe so! Or at least water resistant. It doesn’t come off when I paint over them with a damp brush
