Been around the beaches all my life, and have never seen someone do something like this. Amazing.
This looks like a blast. My advice would be to reach the crown of the wave, so on your way down you aren’t reaching the slip too soon and avoid getting pounded when the wave breaks!

Someone can be worse at something than someone else who can't do said thing, and it's made quite likely when the thing in question is hard and dangerous. No, I couldn't do better; I'd do much worse. That doesn't make them able to ride those. It's not a binary.

I was lucky enough to stay in a house on the mountain overlooking the beach in Cabo. Those waves are a constant, so peaceful like listening to the rain. So beautiful. Its warm all day then chilly at night. You step out onto your balcony to light the chimenea, lay back with a beer, some munchies, and a smoke with your friends. The night's sky full of stars, looking at the lights of the city from far, random fireworks(for us), and the never ending ocean. I love Cabo San Lucas.
I’m about to sail my 30’ Newport sailboat from Ventura, CA down to Cabo in July and I can’t wait to be there. I love all of Baja but there is something special about Cabo that is amazing.
First part is nuts.
These guys really got skills and I never saw it before to ride such big waves 🌊 with a skim board. Respect ✊🏼

Learning skimboarding is even scarier than skateboarding. I remember running full speed only to bite the sand after a faulty throw... twice in a row. Hurts more than concrete lol
I stopped skimboarding...it is VERY dangerous. Dislocations...rolled ankles...broken bones . its very easy to get hurt if you don't know what you're doing.
Yeah, snowboarding has less room for error when it comes to big injuries. Skim boarding and skateboarding are more prone to bruises, cuts, and burns, but snowboarding can kill you if you’re not careful. The butt scoot and the shimmy are your best friends :)

Didn't know there were waves that big in Cabo San Lucas.
Just came back from a week there and was eating outside at the restaurant facing where these kids are playing after the 5mim mark. The waves were actually twice that height if not more.
I remember going to the beach one summer and I went out and literally this wave picked me up and threw me down like I was a toy, I didn’t expect waves to be so powerful like ouch.
That’s living life right there don’t get better then that beautiful
Scrolling and saw this, gave it a watch and I'm literally at full stoke! Getting inside a wave is a high like nothing else, whatever tool makes it easier for you, be it a surfboard, sponge, or skimboard, just go out and get those few fleeting moments in.
