If this album is your introduction to Godsmack, you're in for a treat. They've been my favorite band since 2003 when their album Faceless came out. I love all their music but Faceless, Godsmack IV and their acoustic album The Other Side are flawless albums. Do Faceless next.

You're right, it *is* a sad song. As a matter of fact, this band has always worked with serious and depressive subjects, to which they create amazing lyrics. The term "godsmack" itself refers to an intencional overdose, aiming for suicide.
