I find learning Japanese vocab seems tedious sometimes, and I often try some ways to make it more engaging and interesting. Making use of available apps such as MochiKanji is also a great way. Daily conversations on Mochi are fun ^^

Excuse me, the word for "glasses": メガネ, is it commonly wrote in Hiragana? Katakana? Or Kanji? 眼鏡???

It is often written in katakana or kanji!
If anything, katakana notation is the most standard!
