Why does not anyone explain how we count the pregnancy weeks? The first week starts the first day of the last menstruation. That is 2 or 3 weeks before it is possible to be pregnant!. The sixth week of pregnancy is 2 weeks after the next expected menstruation and that is VERY early and also not every woman has menstruation cycles that goe like clockworks. We count like this for historic reasons when there were no pregnancy-tests and medical personel had to foresee when the delivery of the baby was expected. All this means that a woman has not 6 weeks to think about wanting the baby or not. She has only at most 2 weeks to decide!

What does he mean abortion after birth? The only thing I can think of if there is such a law, it is a protection for women who have a baby with no chance of living and they allow nature to take it's course. Instead of hooking the infant up to neonatal machines. I am only speculating but that would be my guess. This type of law if it exists allows the woman, spouse and doctors to make the decision on what is best for their family in this particular heartbreaking circumstance.
