The tricks with floating foundations don't quite work the same on land as they do on rafts, no. Essentially, a Floor Foundation's core needs to connect with "Terrain", and the whole build radius of a Raft acts like a 3D bubble of terrain, allowing you to put foundations anywhere as long as you get some scaffolding in place to give it something to snap to. Whereas on the ground, the terrain is pretty much always a thick 2D plane.

@@SaabJAS39GripenE I dont think you can access the ini file on your console to adjust it for single player. But you can setup an unofficial server online and play there.
Question is it possible to combine more than one motor boat to create a large not quite an island sized raft cause I was thinking of making a mobile village with a total of 3 sizable houses on my raft on the water
@@asamiller4540 Not possible to connect multiple rafts together as a single unit. But with expanded raft radius limits, you can achieve your goal with the trick in this video. :)
