- ‣‣ This song has been stuck in my head for a week now so I had to board it, I hope you guys like it!!!! Done in Storyboard Pro.
Miiiight have gone a little overboard with the emotions here, but I had so much fun with them so.... ;))

MmmmMMM Summer's almost over and while Covid is getting worse, I'm still heading off to RISD this fall aaAa. As much as I love my home country of Korea, I've really been missing my college friends.
I've done a lot of stuff this summer; it was actually one of the most productive ones I've ever had LOL. I'm super excited because all of my projects are starting to really flesh out, and I can't wait to share them with you!
I did this project to get better at Storyboard Pro, because the options in it are almost limitless. Looking at it now, I can see I've really improved (even just comparing the beginning of the animatic and the end!)
I pumped this out over the course of two and a half days, so my hands are now officially dead. I'm really glad I got it out of my system though, because I'm really proud of it! (Also, I probably wouldn't have been able to focus on anything else if I hadn't ahaa)

As a russian person and a big fan of Don Bluth's anastasia who hasn't even seen the whole musical, I find this absolutely breathtaking ❤
The musical is amazing! You should watch it. I really recommend
I love the emotions you've depicted in this. Especially, by including a lot of Anastasia's emotional response. Having not had the pleasure to see the musical (only hear the soundtracks), I always felt that Anastasia's "see their blood" line felt almost gratuitous. In your animatic, I love how we see Anastasia's horrified reaction to Gleb's reaffirmation that what his father did was a "proud and vital task" despite her putting this brutal image in his mind.
Also, your camera angles are just gorgeous.
Plus, love the artistic license of having the windows blow open and her hair falling out perfectly... This has really inspired me into trying to draw my own storyboards! (At the very least, I've subscribed to your channel now!) :D
Gleb's hatred is understandable. Nikolai II and Alexandra Feodorovna had committed many crimes against the Russian people (father and mother of Anya). But their children are not to blame. That caused his inner struggle.
I always get goosebumps from this song and the beautiful composition of this masterpiece shook me so wonderfully

Omg this is so good. I love how she steps toward him and he backs away. And how her hair goes down. And THE SHADOWS at 2:09. Amazing
I love many many animations of this scene but THIS is the one that conveys the same amount of emotion, especially Anastasia's. this is so beautifully intense

This is absolutely stunning!!! Just everything about it. I've seen a few of these Neva Flows reprise animatics and this one is amazing at showing the emotion and the confliction in Gleb and the profound sorrow but still regal Anastasia. I absolutely love it!

That's amazing, they're so expressive, I never saw Anastasia but I can understand what's happening just by how the characters are reacting
The shadows at 2:09 man it was breath taking. It basically shows how her father and gleb’s dad in their shadows

This is by far the best animatic I've seen of this scene. It may not be the most polished but it just really captures the intensity and melodrama of the scene while also just being just beautifully staged. Fantastic job!

I don’t know if it was intentional but at 1:37 he points the gun to his head while saying: “he does what’s necessary.” (I know he’s referring to following orders but hear me out). Gleb’s father couldn’t live with what he did so he may have killed himself which is also why the mother says: “he died of shame.” (This is totally a theory don’t take my word for it that’s just what I thought in my head😭😭)

I never tire of this scene being animated! Do you have any ideas for future projects? I always thought “Someday” from The Hunchback Of Notre Dame musical would work for young Anastasia and Gleb.

It’s in the musical version. 10/10 would recommend
If there ever is a remake of the animated classic, it will still be in 2d and have a story that is a combination of the original story and the musical’s story and is an alternate history with a different ending. The corrupt Communist government, which will be led by an evil KGB esque leader or group, will temporarily form an alliance with Rasputin to assassinate Anastasia since her survival will doom their entire empire and start a revolution. This scene will play out after a big battle between the French police or army vs the Russian communist spies or soldiers as Anastasia defeats Rasputin and lets the leader of the kgb fall to his death. She is injured, but gets away safely when confronted by Gleb and the scene happens. He spares her, but returns back to Russia to announce his failure and be killed for his insubordination. While the public is still confused on whether the princess is alive or not, the people of Russia are given hope and a revolution breaks out against the corrupt KGB party. Ana and her love stay in France, in secret, and that’s the end of the new 2d film. What do you guys think?
