That Taco fell into a lake ! Wow...the cross axle Tacoma action was amazing. A lot of legit step ups ! Someone needs to give you guys your own TV show. Awesome channel ! New S-U-B here.
Love those trail runs. Would be really awesome if you could do a video how that water crossing failed and if you guys did a bush mechanic magic to fix it on the trail. (Sorry I have no idea on mechanics so really enjoy watching people fix things on trails.)
The kid that ran his truck into the water was a certified Toyota mechanic, he now has his own business working on Toyotas, he may want to do a re-creation video. Unfortunately, I missed the water crossing, I was the last vehicle of 6. By the time I realized something was happen up front, they were already pulling him out.
Took awhile to figure them out. Broke 4 CV axles then upgraded to RCV axles (fixed problem). CV axle failure might be due to the ARB front locker rather than 37s. Bent 3-4 tie rods, need to crawl rather than send it to keep from bending tie rods. Bent one spindle, welded on the total chaos spindle stiffeners to fix that problem. Bent the shock towers, welded on the Total Chaos shock tower gussets to solve that problem. Think I got it dialed in now. Havent done any damage last 3 times out.
@@svennorman9138 gotcha, so you're running a pretty regular suspension with that too right? No fancy long travel or anything? I finally got 35s working flawlessly and I've been eyeing 37s haha
@@Wilkuris Icon stage 5 with 700lb coilover springs, metaltech heavy long travel springs in rear with long travel Icon shocks in rear. Total Chaos panhard bar in the rear. Nothing fancy.. Last alignment +3.7 caster
@@svennorman9138 so with those 37s, is it regeared and supercharged or just regeared. I'm afraid of snapping my drive train in half with both 37s and a Supercharger lol

@@svennorman9138 No worries, I always enjoy your video. I can only watch, no way I can do those runs.. :-) :-)
Where can I pick up one of those high clearance rear bumpers on that red 3rd Gen Taco?

How's the 37s working out? Lots of part failures?
