It reminds me of emelianenko Fedor and Alistair overeem in south Korea long time ago. Fedor when he was the face of MMA visited south Korea to promote and demonstrate Sambo. Later he and his brother went on the most famous humoristic tv shows in south Korea . Alistair overeem went to south Korea for a K1 kickboxing event in Seoul. It's when the famous fan said "Alistair! I love you! [...] VERY FANTASTIC BODY !] very nostalgic,it was best era of MMA and end of kickboxing heavyweights golden age. Alex Pereira remind me a lot of this era of MMA and kickboxing.
@@gggood9958 because it was during his era when pride FC was best organisation and K1 was best kickboxing organisation ever . (Both bankrupt unfortunately and died ). Andy hug was certainly most popular foreign fighter ever in Japan , since his kyokushin karate days and K1 career he was always a big star in Japan with same reaction in the street of Tokyo. (His grave is in Kyoto btw). CRO cop was super popular in Japan , rampage , wanderlei etc .... It was before MMA became mainstream so all these fighters were stare in Japan but when they were in their respective countries nobody knew them .
