Pacific FC has booked a date with the Vancouver Whitecaps at Starlight Stadium for the 2023 Canadian Championship semi-final, having defeated the underdog TSS Rovers FC of League1 BC 2-0 in this evening's quarter-finals clash.
A Josh Heard goal scored from the penalty spot and a late Adonijah Reid finisher proved the difference between the two B.C. outfits, bringing an end to the miracle run that the semi-pro TSS Rovers were enjoying, having eliminated CPL side Valour FC in historic fashion in the earlier round.
The Tridents will next welcome the Whitecaps back to Vancouver Island, having previously taken on and defeated their MLS counterparts in 2021. The winner of this all-B.C. semi-final will face one of CF Montréal or Forge FC in the final. Here are your match highlights.

That isn't a pk. Just an Oscar performance. And it should have been a PK for TSS as the keeper grabbed his feet when he chased the ball.
🙄 it was soft but a PK. Defender had no chance of winning a challenge and any contact a smart striker would go to ground to earn a pk. The other one ball has gone no chance to earn or regain possession it is nothing.
@@pictureofmyjunk2279 it was soft also embellishment. The ref also has the right to call embellishments as well as they should diving is lame. Even if the ball is going out a foul is a foul you can't just take a player out due to that reason.

It’s not his fault he dived it’s the refs fault for calling it, heard is a good and honest player and he’s not mad if it doesn’t get called, look at the ref

@@vaultecboy746 yeah, there was contact I don’t think it was a dive but he tried to initiate contact by backing into him slightly should be no pen but the better team moves on

@@josholsen2108 I wouldn't call something that's meant to be a yellow card offense "good and honest". It's an attempt at deception, all power to the sneaky Welshman to do so but the fault does lie on the ref.

Pacific really needed acting to beat a semi pro team 💀. Shame for TSS they were unlucky.
What happened to disallow the first goal for TSS? Was not offside at any point, and didn't see a foul to call? Also, in no way a penalty should have been awarded, but alas the ref guessing in the moment from a bad angle and dive timed well. Also, appears that second goal was offside from PFC, albeit a judgement call. Had all gone clearly in judging on the night, could have been 1-0 TSS. They played well, hats off to them.
4:24 is 100% offside. 4:20 is arguable

Well maybe because the Rovers are a semi-pro team and Pacific FC is a professional team in Canada but they don’t get paid that well. Obviously the level of play in Italy is higher lol
If you’re as good as you think you are go try out for a USL team in the States it’s better than the CPL. But no offence I doubt you’ll make it because it’s a solid league

@@alessandrogualandi1076 Austin FC beat them in the 2nd leg but wasn’t enough to go through. Violette FC also beat Club Leon 2-1 in the 2nd leg lol
