What I wonder as a new recordbox (and former Traktor) DJ - is there any convenient way of "auto updating" playlists? I organize my music in genre folders on the desktop and currently miss the easy functionality of Traktor here. It is a pity that I have to manually re-load every single new track in the correct playlist in Rekordbox... with Traktor I was able to easily arrange my folders sort of as "top column playlists".
I have had the ddj 400 now for 2 months and I STILL can't drag and drop my music over to the play list. The second the cursor gets to the drop point, up pops the prohibited symbol. I spent a lot of money on a piece of kit that's not working for me. Please, please someone help me before I break it! It's really frustrating now.

To practice those download websites work but if you plan on playing live please buy the music from itunes beatport etc, saves you embarassing moments and bad audio quality through the high end speakers they use so people would be able to tell. plus it supports the artists.
how can i search track in folder wich is not in my Collection? i have about 15000 tracks and there's no need all of them to be in collection (it analisis too long), but there IS need to search exact track in all ammount of them. but there's no search bar in browser when i choose non-collection folder
You’re probably best to just use the file search on your computer and then drag it in from there. Searching within Rekordbox relies on the track being in your collection so it can be indexed.
I used zipdj and when I download track it goes automatically to groove music from Microsoft...... when I tried to import to my rekordbox....... I can't find the file
I've never used Groove Music so I'm not sure where it would be putting your music so it might be worth investigating more about that software. What you also might be best doing is going into your web browser settings and setting it to not open MP3s downloaded in Groove Music, that way it should just download it to a folder and not do anything with it.

Depends what music you want to play, for example if it were dance music maybe beatport.com or traxsource.com. It depends on the genre of music as to which store is probably best for you.

That makes no sense whatsoever, I've never had a laptop/PC in my life and no didn't use one at school, but know everything when it comes to Consoles and mobile phones, I've literally been trying for 3 days now to get my Pioneer Weg04 up and running but just can't access the bloody file I've downloaded a trillion times, I keep getting some stupid pop up saying to buy some wezip thingymajig, for £55 f*cking quid, and that's after it took me 2 days to work out how to download the correct file to the correct place and then figure out where the bloody file went, then what the hell to do with it once I found it, now I thought I hit the jackpot by finally thinking I'd cracked the retarded prehistoric PC interface, I then get this stupid pop up expecting me to pay £55 just to click a mouse button!? AAAHHHHHHH!!! I'm really sorry I honestly hand on my heart aren't directing this towards you, but this is literally about the 50th video I've watched now of people explaining what to do instead of how to do it, there's a massive difference, I can sort of understand that for someone like you it all seems obvious but trust me, going onto a PC and trying to do all this for an actual beginner is like trying to crack the code for the Pentagon, it's infuriating!! I'm so upset more than angry, I'm dying to play them, I sold my ddj 200's to be able to buy these and wish I'd never done it now, please do a proper beginner tutorial I beg you, because I like your style of video more than most.
I think the main reason that most tutorials don't cover the installation of Rekordbox is that it is done in a very similar way to every other bit of software you'd install on your computer. Most software tutorials assume you have a base level of using a computer and working with software as otherwise it's very hard to know where to start. Having said that, Rekordbox can be confusing as it does try to push it's premium version on you which is included in the free download and unlocked when you pay for it. If you are just using Rekordbox to prepare your tracks for your DJ sets and transfer it to USB you do not need the premium version, the free version includes everything you need to do this. Paid versions include extra features such as unlocking performance mode (where you'd use Rekordbox in combination with a DJ controller to perform with), cloud storage of your tracks and various other things. This also changes regularly as they add more features & change plans, however up til now the free version (commonly called export version) has always been free to use and hopefully will always be.

Sorry but this doesn't work on my laptop. No matter what I do it just won't transfer to rekordbox. It's way to complicated

i also have an issue with this . I used Virtual Dj which you can navigate your original file structure from Explorer.

It really depends on the genre of music and each track's structure, it usually works best on electronic music with a beat intro
