About a year ago I changed it to 80 and I really felt like something clicked for me when I did that. Thats when I went from going below average to average. On leanhelp 0, I really don't care. It's fun to see the debate when I have nothing to gain or lose whatever happens.
100 direct lean is a no brainer if you think about it... ive been playing this whole time getting fast with lean help off and didnt know that everyone was playing with it on

edit: i didnt watched the whole video before writing this comment. so im sorry for bringing up the topic. if they remove it im sad. the last 3 days i was grinding it/trying it out to be able to qualify for arl. Yesterday i was getting so used to it that it actually feels so nice to ride and it brings me back the joy for the game. If they wanna ban it for arl i can understand it but i would wish they wont. Im the opinion that on the one hand side it is a change in gaming files which is considered cheating but in my opinion its making the game better. (and mxbikes is a game which has potencial do be more developed in the future, so in future updates maybe just add it to settings so it wont be a gaming file change) And its a setting that changes lean, so it doesnt make the bike faster or gives you more grip. it just gives you the potential to actually ride the bike/move like you want. Also everyone can use it and its not ruin races so please let it in. So ARL being the championship of motocross games and being the hardest and highest you can do i hope they let us run it in the future🙏. Besides that have a great day yall.
my point is nobody can move a bike like that irl lean help 0 just makes the bike act unrealestic no one can be going 60km/h and have the strength to isntantly makes the bike full lean over and then sinstantly pull it back up

I tried 100 for about an hour, couldn't do it. However, I run direct lean at 26, and upped it to 50 and have noticed a HUGE improvement in my consistency and speed. Definitely worth giving a shot.

Does anyone have any tips or can tell me why going uphills specifically on the new glen hellen track I can sit/ stand. Lean forward/back I try it all and randomly for no reason going up h the big hills sometime it’ll just freak out and get this weird head shake and just flip me left right and crash. Its driving me insane

I just wish they'd quit picking and choosing what counts as realistic. You may not be able to lean that fast IRL... But you also don't have brake help, shift help, traction help, auto sit, a third person camera which clearly gives an FOV advantage... So why are these OK? They're unrealistic. Haakon showed he still runs within a few tenths going to lean help 1 🤷🏻♂️
Ive actually been having these thoughts recently after seeing someone's settings that is competing in the Pro class. His settings were set up in such a way that his skill difs were being masked and the thing that really pissed me off was auto sit as he says its one less thing to think about (arent we playing a sim to think?). I tried his settings out and it was like playing an arcade game, and at what point do we need a standardized settings rule?

Its much more fun. Thats what a game should be about anyways so ill keep using it. I dont know why they are so serious about such a tiny game's tournaments. It's not like there is big money involved.

Depends what your definition of assistance is, its more of a limitation than an assistance. IRL your bike has weight to it and the faster you go the harder it is to turn one. So to convey that feeling of weight and manoeuvring a bike into some thumbsticks on a controller youd have to limit how quickly you can turn. The leanhelp 0 completely removes any sense of inertia, making you be able to barrel roll off the top of any jump at any speed with a quick stick flick to the side. So yes whilst its very fun to be able to go much faster, it does end up being unrealistic and the game is 'trying' to be a simulator This is near impossible to convey in text form so it probably wont come across as intended
If they remove this from ARL I won’t be racing it anymore if even playing bikes at all. I don’t see why anybody would complain about it being “cheating” when for one it’s free and super simple and easy to do and everybody has the same equal ability to use it and learn it and become better with it. I don’t think someone not being able to have the learning ability to learn it should be considered cheating. All it does is turn leanhelp off because if you never do it technically lean help is never really off.
So to make it simple, one of the devs words were 'yes this is cheating' It removes all weight and inertia from the bike, it was only developed to be used with real motion rigs from gp bikes No rider on the planet can chuck a bike back and forth in the air like you can on 0 or crank it over from upright to laid flat whilst going 40mph in milliseconds. So yes, it is considered cheating, the same as going in the backdoor and editing any competitive games files that are not accessible in the game ui is cheating
You shouldn’t have to change your settings to make lines on the tracks. I find it bullshit you have to rail a 450 like a 125 to make the jumps. I think they should just make the tracks a hair smaller scale and make the game more skill based and technical vs just who can keep it wide open the most
As i reccal you did say that some of the best top players open some files in the game and remove lean assist completly. To me that is cheating. If you change something that is not in plain sight ffor all players don't do it. Or make sure it is 100% visble for the entrie community. Make a mod or something that does this for you if thats what other are intressting to have aswell. Not all players can program. Sorry for my not to perfect english :)

well as somone who does simracing, this is very common, you have your generic settings and then you have the pro settings in Text files, this is just normal settings you see in game, while they programmed a ui to make it easier on your eyes and mind. But actually all the settings you can change in MXbikes are in text files, so you can go into the files and change whatever you normaly change in game ther without even starting the game, wich alot of people especially people used to progamming will do. So complaining about settings that the Developer intended to be there, but for whatever reason decided to hide from the casual player, is just whining about unfair advantage that does not exist, everybody can get as involved to mxbikes as everybody else and start manipulating those files, as long as you dont change code of the game thats not cheating. However you can decide to ban certain stuff for comp, but it shouldnt be because some people compain about unfair advantage, it should only be made if you for example want to encourage certain behaviou, for example you could make a pro series where all Assist are forbidden, then yes also changing game files will be forbidenm and an amateur series where its allowed or something... but reading the coments here is just a shitshow of kids having no clue

You can find troll setups everywhere, you have to learn about suspension and set them up yourself if you want it to work with you
