Basically she matured and he didn't. He should have grown also and not be needing his ego stroke constantly.

All the actors in this series should win awards. They all brought out all d real emotions in those characters and us too. Too good.
He ruined his life because of his ego, poor decision making, cowardliness, incapable behavior, lack of loyalty. It literally cost the jobs of so many and got workers seriously harmed or killed. All over some broke, thirsty, 23 year old tail who was obsessed with trying to leach off the coattails of another woman’s efforts.
When he started his illicit affairs he never thought of the consequences, that there’s a price for every decision or choice he made.

you can see the great regret on his face lesson’s teach him the saddest way, realizing he wasted an amazing woman.
It's always like that. They regret only when they're at their dead end. It does not have anything to do with being remorseful for the hurt and damage caused to the person they cheated on. There are wives who cheat on their husbands too, but mostly, wives are always the best life-partners to their husbands.
I wish I had a couple friends like those three women. That's probably a key ingredient to making life worth while.
He became dependent on her because he could not resolve the problems he caused to happen. They did have discussions, however he made many mistakes in his work and it was her who had to deal with the consequences of his errors, after sometime, she had to make most of the decisions what should be done and what not and he resented her for that, not remembering how many times she had helped him fix his problems. Just take a good look at the blue firework's development. She told him that it would be pretty much dangerous if he'd continue to do it, but to please his mistress, he went against his wife's warning, which resulted in the exploding of the firework facility and him ending up in prison.

Him getting imprisoned asap is kinda an easy way out for him. He should've gone to the mistress after he lost everything, and then he'll suffer because there's no longer a capable wife taking care of him, then his health deteriorates because the mistress enables his bad habits, they lose their money, and the mistress leaves him, his son is disappointed in him, THEN he goes to prison.
@@iagreewithyou3478 Most of the money he spent on his mistress was taken from his wife. When the firework company ran out of cash to pay for the supply, the manager had to tell his wife about it. It was good for him that he went to prison before the divorce took place, otherwise he would be in great debt, but Gu Jia became penniless when she had to sell all of their assets to settle for all the damages caused by the explosion. The price to pay for his adultery was extremely great.

@@tinavilla4212 essentially the chemical used to produce the blue firework was dangerous to store (in moisture I think). But Xu produced it anyway, despite his wife’s warning, to please his mistress. The stored fireworks exploded eventually during storage, and he was responsible, hence.

But his mistress encouraged him to produce the blue firework, so he did it for the mistress. Then the warehouse exploded, 2 workers were killed. The company went bankrupt from paying compensation and the husband had to go to prison.

不知道為什麽在點進來看，彷彿有什麼還未尋味出。
我覺得..顧佳從之前的果斷離婚，到現在的暖心問候，
她一直是個這樣的人，
即使受傷了最後還是會站起來並且鼓勵幻山，
簡單來說就是一個正向的人。
幻山提離婚的時候的眼神，認真的彷彿很珍惜最後看她一樣。
感覺是真的覺得自己配不上顧佳，想到自己僅有的才能還是靠她才穩定賺錢的，現在被自己毀了。
出來後還要再靠她幫忙自己的話，就真的是對不起她了，所以幻山這次提離婚，不是希望顧佳放過自己，而是想要自己放過顧佳。
這樣也可以解釋為什麼顧佳聽完幻山提的離婚後是笑的，她知道幻山的想法，她也覺得挺好的。
唯一的疑惑..是我真的讀不出來幻山掛完電話後對著顧佳說的那兩個字到底是什了…

Cheated, betrayed his devoted wife, ruined his happy family, was too dependent on her problem solving abilities, then hurtfully accused her of being too controlling after cleaning up his messes. Even had the audacity to ask his wife to help him get rid of his young mistress whom he financially cared for with families money. Had he spoken to his wife about his true feelings the damage done might have been avoided.

@@kittie479 He’s in prison due to the deaths of some of his employees in an explosion in the fireworks factory where he was instructed not to make “Blue” fireworks which were unstable. He told his wife they were destroyed, but In actuality he kept them at his mistresses request because she liked them and her initials could be seen when they were ignited (U U).

As long as you’re positive and accepting of life throwing bricks and bats at you (good n bad times) each year will be the best for you. I’m 70 and talking from experience. I married at 19, widowed at 21, with a baby, was married again at 30, to a husband who was abusive (emotionally and physically) but I survived. How? My guiding mantra, a Buddhist teaching - “This too shall pass” ie nothing is permanent. And an English proverb - every dark cloud has a silver lining.

I love the naration at the end by the three wonderful ladies. Besties for life people. This is the friendship every woman deserve to have. This drama is awesome, lots of lessons about womanhood. Todays society expect capable and independent women can do every thing but at the same time labeling them as selfish, overbearing and coldhearted. But well, they actually just want a good life.

This drama “Nothing But Thirty” demonstrates the strength that women have to deal with the numerous complications life May bring. The three female friends never waver in their convictions regarding their lives and the path taken. Excellent drama which I have watched 3 times.

I feel watching them having the telephone conversation that they still love each other. Those glances are so full of love. I think they will reconcile later on though in most of my comments about this drama, I say the wife should not take him back. Well, he has learned his lesson and maybe they will again be a happy family. The wife said she also had mistakes in their marriage. I think at this point she has forgiven the husband. Too bad the son will not have a father in 3 years. Sad.
