Rumor has it that Lake St. Clair smallies are hot on crankbaits right now. You need to make a short little 9 hr. drive north on your next Saturday off, and hit you some!
Hey I'm gonna send you something we are gonna make some videos next year.
Cant wait!
Damn, for a minute, I didn't think Jeremy was gonna re-catch the fish he caught! 🤣🤣 Yet another advantage to fishing in a boat. When that happens to me the fish ends up looking like he just stormed Normandy on D-day from flopping in the dirt. 🤣 I caught 3 nice ones the other day at the pond at work. I used a bama frogs custom spinner bait. If you haven't seen Bamabass's channel, you should check it out, he's been building a 5 acre pond and it's almost time to fill it up. Great video man!
Thanks Yeah I've been watching that pond build that's crazy.
Subscribed to Tackle Junkie.
Just left Lake Alan Henry. Was hot and windy but we managed to wrangle a few in the boat. Love the channel buddy, keep em coming.
Thank you so much and great job!
I've been catching a bunch in Alabama this week on a junebug trick worm and a 3/8 oz white and chartreuse spinnerbait. The brackish delta creeks i fish in don't have a lot of really big fish, the biggest you'll find is around 6 to 7 pounds tops. I got my 2nd 5lb'er in 3 weeks fishing the spinnerbait on deeper cover right in the middle of the channel on a falling tide. I feel spoiled because people might catch them that big in ponds and lakes often around here, but some people fish these rivers for years and years without never catch one close to that big. And when they do it's usually during the spawn on a plastic lizard or live bait.
Bigger than the lakes here 3 pounders are great here
Subscribed to Tackle Junkie as requested.

Thanks again.
@ziggy blue you most be kind of close to me...I fished a kayak tourney there a couple months ago and slammed the spots. I live up in the panhandle area of TX.
@@treverwagner Yes sir, about 3 hours from there. It was worth the drive. Gonna have to go back again sometime.
Top water bite at a 3 acre pond plum full of snot, we had a cool spell but has warmed back up a tad here in Texas. Late Summer fishin here is a dang hunt with the heat. Spring and Fall here feels like your Summer does (and dryer).
hahahaha yeah I would say it does.
Glad to see you boys catching some, you know fall has been tough on me here on Cumberland, be happy yall caught some.
Thanks man it's been a grind.
@@BassGeek yeah same here!
I did pretty good all month in September that I went fishing. I am in north west Missouri. I fished a couple small lakes from my kayak. I used an assortment of different baits to catch them. I do however feel the fishing here has been more like a summer pattern than fall so September fishing was easier than expected. Good luck for the future
Yeah still should be in most places
I gotta secret lake up here in Canada too. Loaded with bass! Keep up the good work, enjoying your vids bro.
Thanks I would love to fish Canada.
Thanks for the video Hank and Jeremy. Sounds like you are having the same weather as we are here in Oregon. Fishing has been tough lately, so I went down to the Bay Area in California and did some ocean fishing for a couple of days. Fantastic trip. Caught my PB a 9 pound rockfish! You guys rock!! ✌🏻🎣
Heck yeah nice rock fish!
I guess I’m gonna have to go binge watch me tackle junkies video’s!!!
But I’m in Kansas an I’ve had a tough year but despite that I did break my pb at the beginning of summer so I can’t complain too much!
Hey that's awesome that you broke your PB way to go. I've had a tough one to but I hope all is well.
I'm in Memphis going out in the morning, I've been catching on a lot of different baits chatterbait has done the most work.
Keep It up!
Love the fact you keep it real
Man it's just fishing. I like catching but it's mostly fishing hahahhaha
I’m in Alabama. Fish the coosa chain mostly. Water temp still in low 80’s.
Yeah now this lake is waaaaaaay up in the mountains.
Spinnerbait for the win. I love throwing a Spinnerbait 👊
I was so surprised that it was catching them like that on that day.
@@BassGeek if that video was from Monday. I had 50s in my truck when I was heading north to come home and mid 40s in northern NC and VA
I had some luck with a spinner earlier this week as well. Keep the content coming.
It's about to get right for those moving baits.
Where I am at we are still in the late summer pattern - cold front is on the way. Fishing has been tough so I have been using the time on the water for practice, mainly skipping out of a kayak.
hahahaha yeah I get that. I do that a lot. If I ain't catching I'll go to practice something else or test a feel on a bait.
Been tough here in Central PA also. Picking up a few on spinner baits and square bills
Yup it's the hard bait time of year.
South Holston is ruff right now but most of the time it is I still haven’t got that lake down yet
That lake it tough anytime.
That mossback shadow rap is my favorite
YES! I love that color up there.
Bell has been rung ... Central Pa is my location having our last club tournament of the year this weekend.
Man can you believe it's already this late in the year.
Been a tough bite here for me lately. I spent 3 hours tonight practicing skipping a jig under overhanging brush. I'm in S/W Pennsylvania
Hey time on the water no matter what ya doing is helping to improve your skills.
It's been tough here in NC, I caught a few the other night on the Ned but it is slowly getting better
It should be getting good very soon here.
Have you done a video on the power shot? I’ve been wanting to learn how to use it on a medium action baitcaster. Also the berkley water bug is phenomenal for the power shot!
I have not but have meant to for ever.
@@BassGeek that is one video I think you should do for sure! So many good baits can be used on a dropshot. But some people can’t get behind a spinning rod. Like me!!
Need to come to south holston sometime soon would love to see a video there may run into you up there
I've got a bunch of videos on SoHo. It's about the time I like to start heading over there.
@@BassGeek I’ll half to find them on your page here cause I’m trying to learn it just moved about 25 mins away from it
I think I’m just now learning this👍🏼👍🏼
We committed the bass fishing no no. We left biting fish to find fish.
Man- I'm so soar I can barely move bud. When I was a teenager and in my twenties we used to float the local river here by my house- have someone drop you upstream 25-30 miles, put in, and fish and float down to the house here. So I decided I wanted to do that again- but I knew I couldn't do 25-30 miles at 49 years old- so I just went up stream like 15-20 miles. Well- turns out since I was younger the river has changed drastically- its's now much, much deeper and far more still- in fact the wind would blow you back up stream today if you didn't keep paddling. I ended up having to paddle- hard- for like 10 miles- and it still took me 7 hrs. Now I fished along the way to- caught 15 on the underspin (thanks for the advice)- but mostly I paddled, and paddled, and then paddled some more. By the time I got down to my truck I was so tired, my muscles were burning so bad- I literally couldn't load my stuff up. I had to sit for about 30 minutes and I managed to get everything but the kayak- had to go get help to get it. I was just to spent, my muscles simply could not do it no matter how hard I tried. I imagine tomorrow I'm really going to be in pain but- we'll see- at least I caught a few for my troubles.
DANG yeah that would suck! Get a trolling motor for that river now. hahahaha man
@@BassGeek Exactly my plan- I felt like a train wreck this morning. I have to figure out how to attach it to my kayak efficiently though. There are several different methods, just have to figure out which one is the best for my kayak and my wallet. Probably have to go with a side mount- the rear mounted trolling motor kits cost a fortune.
im about 30 minutes north of jelico Tennessee and the fishing is always tough in my area.
This little lake has been super tough lately.
@@BassGeek my.local lake has been tough for years. Alot of boat traffic and fishing tournaments every Saturday and just about ever weeknight.
Awesome video like always love how you break you day down for us it really helps me out sir. I mean it help to know how, when, were, and at what times you did those thing to catch your fish so thank you. And sir I was going to ask if you have picked a winner for the last MTB boxs you was giving away cause I didn't want to miss it? And also want to tell you thanks and appreciate all your time, hardwork, and effort you put into making all your awesome and very informative videos cause you have help me alot when at the end of your day you break it all down and tell us how you did and when and were and why you did what you did so thanks again. Well till the next's trip GodBless and Tight Lines.
I did It was at the end of the last video. Hey Send me an email so I we can swap No.s I'll get you that info.
@@BassGeek ok sir I'll send you an email is you email address in your description sir?
Yo ! Hank,. It's the same way here a little south in Asheville NC ,. Thought about driving up to boon lake this weekend ???? U fish there ?? Good bank fishin ??? Need a cheap 10 foot kyack ! Any thoughts ?? 😎
I don't know much about yaks sorry. I will say it's tough everywhere and I've heard Boone is tough to right now.
The LIfeTime Kayaks are pretty affordable, and they have several 10 foot models. I advise you to at least get the one with the raised seat cause the kind that have just a little pad and then a flip up back rest- they're extremly uncomfortable. I have both- started out with the LifeTime Tamarack angler 100- it's a 10 foot kayak but it's very uncomfortable and very unstable- you can't really stand up on it. Plus there's no room and the lay out sucks- no where to put your tackle crate. Then I got the LifeTime Yukon 116- 11' 6" kayak with the raised seat- much, much better. Lots more room, there's a flat space behind the seat for your tackle crate, you can stand up on it, it has adjustable foot pedals, and a blunted rear end for adding a motor or rudder if you want later on-- it's just 500 bucks. The Tamarack 100 is only $300 but, imo it's not worth buying. They now have a 10 foot model with a raised seat and a much better layout but- I don't know the name of it.
@@BassGeek thanks Hank 😎
Top secret lake P is a tough lake to fish but I enjoy fishing it
I do to but I think I've had enough lol
Love lake P!
Me too it's a beast at times.
Can I catch fish in the fall on an okeechobee craw jig and trailer??
HECK yeah! Great color.
@@BassGeek thank you sir!
Woooooo!
What's up my guy
I like a faster reel for a jerk bait.
I use a 6.8:1. If your not careful those faster reels will move the bait.
MOVING
Moving on! lol
Nice bass but I hate to see them laying in the carpet. Rubbing off their slime coat.
Yeah me too. We got him back fast though.
Well I was on Cane Creek over the weekend. But I was in NY and catching Debo dinks and Skunked in NC. Waters temps were high 70s to low 80s. That resivoir is 3hrs from my brothers in Cornelius
I would have taken a few more dinks on this day.
@@BassGeek yeah dinks are better than getting skunked.
@@BassGeek I want to figure out how to fish in NC. I even tried a weighted wacky. See the lakes here in NY have a lot of milfoil and are shallow and clear. Down in NC the lakes are deep and sandy bottom and no real structure. So I am totally out of my element. Next time I’m taking my spinnerbaits and crank baits
@@leatherstockingangler9046 I'll give that a BIG AMEN!
