Brad, another great reaction. You commented on how long EJ held "that note." Go back and listen to the end of his portion, and you will find that he sings the phrase "I'll have spent one day out... " leading into the final "there" without taking a breath. Absolutely amazing breath control. If you time it, it comes out to at least 27 seconds on that belt.

Thank you for uploading a reaction to this song. You’re the only one I’ve seen so far and I think the only one that’s done it but I’ve mainly wanted reactions due to EJ’s voice at the end. Oh my god. I love EJ’s voice.
I've said this before regarding EJ: The man has the lungs of a freaking whale! He holds that freaking note forever, and then, once he cuts off, doesn't have the common decency to seem winded. (Yeah, I just did that. You gotta problem?)
Voctave is too in my books for pure vocal talent, arrangements, harmonies and especially dynamics!! There’s not a song of theirs that doesn’t move me - usually with such joy and the symphonic vocals. Just phenomenal!! I wish more reactors would discover them and add them to their lists, they are so worth hearing!
Thank you! For once I had not seen this prior to your reaction. There are truly vocals and vocalists who just "move" us. Voctave and their members are in that almost sacred realm. I am SO thankful that I know some of them from my time as a singer/actor at Disney World. They are amazingly wonderful, kind and generous folks. Thank you for the gift of your new song, it speaks to me on many levels. You are a blessing in my life!
You got to sing with them at Disney? Oh man, that must have been an experience of a lifetime! I used to sing in a barbershop quartet and I love music like this. I would have been honored to have been able to sing with them. Well done and thank you for sharing your story.
@@inujosha Unfortunately I did not get to sing with "them" as Voices of Liberty but have sung with some of them at Disney in other shows and at other venues.
I didn't recognize that last song, but they all sounded amazing. And they dressed up for this performance, a special treat. BYU Vocal Point released their music video for "Cruella De Ville", they always go all out for their videos.
@@dmay327 I was thrown off, because he looked like he was dressed up as Lumiere, even though they had already done a song from Beauty And The Beast. Plus The Hunchback Of Notre Dame is one of the shows I'm less familiar with.
You called out E.J. I Loved that! Although it shouldn't be possible, I have to cast my vote that he is the BEST of the BEST. He's the "I don't NEED to breathe" guy. Love his "That's Right!" look at the end! Great reaction, Brad! I vote Voctave as the best vocal ensemble I have ever heard. I may "enjoy" a few of the big a cappella groups (you know the three I mean) more, but no one has pure vocal talent AND arrangements like Voctave. There. I said it out loud.
Your reaction to this made me so happy! They really are so very talented. I love EJ too (off to search for possible content out there with EJ and Omar singing together - after I watch your new song, of course).
I love watching you react to Voctave! I saw Voctave that same December, and during the weeks EJ was away for the birth of his baby. My sister and I made it our new life goal to see Voctave again with EJ. Well, to see Voctave again period, at any opportunity, over and over, but missing EJ is kind of a crime. :p I would love to meet them too, that would be a dream come true! I'm so glad to hear they're all such wonderful people. I'm going to go check out your new song now. :)
All 11 members of Voctave are some of the nicest people I've ever met. Truly world-class people who also possess world-class talent. I can't wait to see them in concert again.
Nah that's just through whichever audio capturing software Brad used here, it's a bit imperfect and doesn't capture the audio as well as it was in the original. In the original video, Karl can be heard much more clearly. I'm guessing Brad's software just has trouble picking up the low end.

Literally same

Out There, and it's from "The Hunchback of Notre Dame".

Great review Brad ! They did a tribute to the closing of Phantom Of The Opera. The son is Masquerade check it out is amazing.
Jamey just got married too. Last Saturday!

I am so excited that you are coming to our town next spring cannot wait to hear you
Love Voctave! And the production is fabulous. Wish they would film more often.

Fantastic review!
I love your reactions. Just got your album its fantastic
ruclips.net/video/Z37Akwi_J6E/видео.html found EJ in this...surprised, but I shouldn't be I guess.
I really liked it but they were drowned out the first singer

Watch their original. It’s well-balanced.
Agree with the others. Gotta watch the original and wear headphones. Your phone or comp speakers can't do a bass singer justice.
