- A music video of Timbaland's "Apologize" ft. OneRepublic animated in Source Filmmaker.
About the Video:
This would be my second animation using Source Filmmaker. I focused mainly on facial expressions, some movement of body parts, lip syncing, and using AO. It took me about 2 months on and off to animate since I was focusing on school as well. It took 3 days and 12 hours to render on my old Gaming PC, but the outcome turned out rewarding. I plan on working on SFM some more during the summer. There are certain animations/sequences that seem a little rushed. I would have spent longer tweaking and finalizing them if I hadn't been on such a time crunch.
*I am aware of the clipping with the clothing. The issue was the clothing itself and the animation mixing together.
I appreciate any feedback as it helps me understand and improve in the future.

Holy crap dude, the amount of emotion that you can extract of this girl. I had to to re watch of if the scenes where you see her get sad to see what you did. You did so many things simultaneously to show that emotion. Amazing work dude.
This was amazing. The animation was so smooth, and the emotions! I kept tearing up every time I saw that sad expression. The simplistic nature focusing on the characters. I am left in aw. I really do wish I get to a level of animation that you have shown me today.

This is really, really pretty! I love the designs of the ponies. Do you make custom SFM models?
I personally do not make SFM models anymore because of how long and time consuming the process is. It took me almost 3 hours to do both models. I know there are tutorials on how to make them, but I might do one myself since those tutorials are very hard to follow.

I'm pretty sure I will make a video since a lot of people are interested in making their own OC's. Since the tutorial is a bit lengthy it will probably take me a good month or two to upload.

One thing I'd recommend is that ponies show their emotions through their ears as well as their face. (Pinned back or down when upset, scared, ect.) It doesn't give the whole picture when their ears are perked all the time but their expression says upset.

Literally my only problem with this is that the singer is smiling. This erm.. this isn't exactly a very happy song. But its fantastically done

I liked it. I think the lip-syncing was pretty good. the shots were nice. personally I think the nose-to-nose shot may have been used one too many times. I think there could also be some more conveyance of emotion in the eyes, but that may just be due to a lack of eyebrows.
