Brilliant video, thanks and wicked sound. Jeazz the seaward side of the promenade has changed so much. No Dixieland. Great shots of Southport and the coast road.
I Was there for the car show, i didnt even know about this, i did manage to catch a few stills of some of them passing me, i couldnt work out where they were coming and going from....i might have abandond the car show if i had known :-) excellent filming again mate !
Thanks. Yes I saw the car show. There was a open top Southport single deck bus on display there. The owner knew about the event, he could have told you where it was
I well remember those double decker Ribble Leyland Titans on the 211 route from Kirkby to city centre ( old Skelhorne st bus depot/ terminus) of which at the time was National Express coach terminus behind & at about 15ft or so higher up. Both have sadly gone 😟😟 & to great loss Ribble buses also are no longer in service anymore only a very few of these Titans survive for these day shows.
The Ribble PD3 were & still are favourites of mine. They were regulars on the routes I used L2 L21 L3 57 58 59. It's good to see some have survived, though sadly some have been converted to other uses. The Burlingham type is also represented in preservation.1523 Having it's restoration completed last year at Kirkby
That's unfortunate, it was a great day. If its there next year you will have to book time off. If you join the MTT you could drive some of the buses too
@@Merseywail To be fair, one of our supervisors was behind the wheel of one of those buses so I could always mention it when I see them next time around. 🙂

Cheers cracking day. Filming from the central reservation certainly enhanced the sounds. Southport has changed a lot your right
Itll be changed even more this year as the theatres being flattened, its apparently being rebuilt but iv heard contrary to this
Great video, it really was a fantastic day wasn't it!
It was a very enjoyable day yes. Some good runs, couldn't get to do them all unfortunately
@@Merseywail Yes, you can never do all of them...

@@Merseywail I remember now come to think of it they were used on those routes aswell. Thanks for jogging my pathetic memory. 🤔😁😁😉👍
Very nice old vintage buses in Southport.
Some of them returning to home ground
@@Merseywail Ok 👍
I only wish I could have gotten involved in this event but alas, I was working and had 300s to Liverpool and back to cover. :/

Liverpool council’s connectivity scheme😂😂😂
Yep if anything was given the incorrect name it is the connectivity scheme. The whole thing is an ongoing shambles
