I love the rolled shooters!! Moreover. I love the trash-can trick as well. Graig from ECD is awesome, my wife laughs at me because all the bathroom trash-cans look like a chemistry experiment went wrong whenever the trash bags get removed. Switch to Rit’s “DyeMore” for the Lax ball, you just need something for synthetics. Question- I’m looking for something on spray painting a head and I’m hitting a brick-wall. I need a “ Chrome” look for a head I have envisioned but just cannot find the right information. I know I can paint it but this is going to be a head that gets light FO use as well as regular game play. I’ve used flexible automotive paints for a similar effect but in places that will not take abuse that the front & back of the scoop will. Thoughts?
YES! Thanks for the comment, love to hear when you aren't the only one that gets those looks from the wife. Ehhhh faceoffs and dye jobs can be tricky. I'm your casual dyer, but love the stuff Hank does at TRADiTree Paint. Maybe a good source for what you are talking about? instagram.com/traditreepaint/
@@OffBallLax I finished the head. I still have to string it - all I have is white hero 3.0 at the house and black is needed. instagram.com/p/CNI3acDj-gg/?igshid=1qgp5chfu36tl
i’ve tried 2 times now with rit dye more trying on my ion head and it won’t be a rich color like i see online. i’m trying a blue color and i’ve kept it in for so long and it’s just not a deep blue color like i want . any ideas ?
I've looked but unfortunately I have not found any videos :( You use the marbling/webbing spray before you add a color. It will coat the surface and leave a little of whatever color is under it showing.
The dye penetrates the top layer of the plastic and actually changes its color. Spray paint is only surface level and eventually will crack off. Dye is the only way to go.
Do you recommend taking off the ball stop before dying
Yes, you can get replacement ball stops.
Old video, but thanks for the kind words!
Huge appreciation for you sir 🙏 You're a big motivation for my channel!
@@OffBallLax Great content! Subscribed👍🏼. Keep up the great work.

Hmm... I've never tried an ion. Maybe reach out to HersheyLaxDyes on IG and ask if they have some pointers. I know he's done some ions

Do you have to have dye or can you use spray paint?
The dye penetrates the top layer of the plastic and actually changes its color. Spray paint is only surface level and eventually will crack off. Dye is the only way to go.
What would be your color combo?
