- This song references the term 'Enduring the Freedom', the military operation led by the U.S. and the U.K. later known as the 'war on terror'. The song denounces the way in which governments, politicians or the media use language to label some as 'terrorists', some as 'good', others as 'evil', thus over-simplifying issues and manipulating people's minds and opinions.
Some inspiration for the lirycs was taken from a letter by Ras Tafari Makonnen, Halie Selassie I.
'Enduring the Freedom', is spending to kill
Enduring the oppression of the poor by the rich
Enduring confussion, enduring the war
Allowing starvation in the name of their law
But they won't kill hope cos it cannot be killed
and with hope people live, with hope we'll succeed
Saliya nnawo saliya
Kora batobeh koumala
Namboma saliya dundun batobeh
Koumala nbaningfa saliya
So beware of the greedy and beware of the thief
Beware those who say, that killing brings peace
When fire is burning, water you must give
Or sooner or later, it'll burn at your feet
So come on and learn from mistakes in the past
do not let people burn, give them water at last
En los campos de mi Andalucía
los campanilleros de la libertad
van luchando sembrando y cantando
la idea más hermosa de la humanidad
y un día será:
que el esclavo rompa sus cadenas
y de éstas mazmorras nos libertará
