The most unique thing I find about grant is his mix. He's got this super wide stereo environment that's still right in your face, hard-hitting but clean chords, and a lead that still somehow punches through. Truly genius.
Now this is a song I really love from Grant, and Jessi did awesome with the vocals. I think the lyric video is really well done, and I just enjoy the song for the melodic aspects. Grant must be on a roll again because The Edge was also one of my favorites on Uncaged recently. He has a very special sound that can get you in the right mood. :)

This release was a really nice refresh for me. Brought me back to when Starship was released, and I sat there loving every moment of it. I feel Castaway shares a lot in common with some of my favourite releases from grant, namely, "Constellations", "Starship", and "Are We Still Young" Interestingly enough, Castaway is in the same key as Starship, so it shows how well grant lends himself to making tracks in D Major. Pointless music theory aside, The melody was really nice and the guitar was a really nice change from the other three releases that I sort of associate Castaway with. Combined with the chords, it did a suitably good job of making this feel new, yet maintaining, grant's style that we all know and love. Also, those visuals
Ikr? Constellations is my favorite song and has been for a while now, I can feel the connection between it and starship really closely, but at the same time, it doesn't feel too close. Not something all artists can achieve.

This is easily one of the most visually beautiful music videos on Monstercat. The music that Grant produced here is easily one of his best. Stunning work all around
Grant is one of the most consistently impressive artists on this label, his production quality has skyrocketed since his rebrand. The Edge is still his best release so far but I really enjoyed this too, the snare is crisp. Also: this video was done by Vacades, he's done a lot of the visuals for Lowly Palace and OWSLA and his work is fucking awesome in general. Check it out.
Batman i wouldn’t say that his product quality “skyrocketed ” because he was already really good when he was still Grant Bowtie . I think his best song was High Tide but compared to his newer stuff it sounds a little bland but it’s an older song so. He’s been doing great recently (as always) and his songs this year are definitely best of 2018 worthy/quality.

Thank god its finally been released, thank you Grant I’ve been listening to the ID since it first went up on RUclips and as soon as this finally went up and I listened to the opening I got instant chills flooding my body. Somehow for the past 3 years you’ve managed to stay my favorite artist. The preview of both this and wishes got me through a lot of rough times regardless of the fact that they were only snippets. Seeing these finally see the light of day brings me so much joy and I’m prepared for whatever lies ahead because I know I’ll have these songs with me, now in their full length. Keep it up Grant, you never disappoint.

My brain can’t fully comprehend how Grant hasn’t released a bad song. Every song he’s released is good, even if it might not compare to the really good ones he’s made they’re still good.
I would love to take this time and convey my thoughts and feelings on Grants music from a more technical and musical standpoint. An interesting fact most people don’t initially realize is that he always manages to incorporate practically 3D audio processing within a conventional stereo field. You can hear those 3D elements (in this case, his various FX) swish back in forth beyond the “V-shape” stereo field. If I was to open a stereo analyzer plugin, say with ozone, you would see just how panned and expanded everything is in the overall mix. Its as if nothing but the kick, snare, and low frequencies remain within mono. Lately, it seems as fewer people are pushing beyond the boundaries of stereo depth and perception in their mixes out of fear of phase cancellation and ill-translation on lower end sound sources. I’m not saying the mix is absolute sonic perfection, I would more rather describe Grant as a modern pioneer in the electronic world as he always finds a way for his song to draw you in and “hug you” when you hear it for the first time. You can simply tell how he’s always testing his limits and working to surpass all expectations of what we currently associate with modern electronic music. He is giving us a taste of the future and he’s doing it with flavors we have never tasted before. Its hard to describe this to an un-trained ear or the average consumer, but I promise you I wouldn’t be sitting here wasting my time ushering these statements if I didn’t believe it to be true. I can only wish for Grant to receive the recognition he deserves, as the ridiculous amount of dedication and commitment he pours into his work is unfathomable. If I could nominate an electronic music producer for an award based off of sheer creativity, new frontier mix pioneering, and futuristic melodic composition, GRANT would be my nominee. The raw emotion and power that emit from his work just never gets old, in-fact it simply can’t, because Grant takes us past the present day sound and deep into the future.
