    GREAT WORK, and a very simple and effective way to get any keyboard beginner to understand the feel of a tune by first getting the basics, which are the chords, right, besides, the teacher is all smiles and positivity, which helps!

    Thanks for the inspiration. I've taught guitar and play guitar and piano. Nice methodology with this. I'll definitely look into your teachings. :)

    Thanks piano guy. Any recommendations for finding more in depth analysis of this song? Why did she use the chords she did? Is it major or relative minor? Is the progression modal? Etc. Having trouble bridging the gap between simple tutorials and the more technically theory videos.

    Lovely piece of advice at the beginning, though I couldn't play an instrument to save my life. It really made sense anyway.

    It wasn't just "made famous" by Carole King - she wrote it! Great vid though, thank you.

    What happened to the change? You know, when she sings, "Traveling around sure get's me down and lonely. Nothing else to do but close my mind. I sure hope the road don't come to own me. There's so many things I've yet to find."

    Love this technique. I am starting piano again to help my guitar playing...where do you get the "lead" sheets?

    • @pianoinaflash
      @pianoinaflash 7 лет назад

      Lead Sheets are found in music books called Fake Books (although there is NOTHING "fake" about them...It's just what musicians have called them for a hundred years...). There are many, in almost any style available through music publishers. Having said that, if you are looking for good ones for someone starting out I would suggest you take a peek at mine as I developed them specifically for my students and they have chord charts for every chord in a particular tune right on the same page as the tune. It keeps you from having to go digging for what notes are in each chord as you are learning them. Check here: www.scotthouston.com/collections/sheet-music-lead-sheets Hope that helps ... Have fun!

    • @pianoinaflash
      @pianoinaflash 5 лет назад

      @@jazzbresil Yes - we ship internationally all the time, and no - they are not available as PDFs due to the huge number of good copyrighted tunes in the books that we pay rights for.

    I wish he would quit trying to change how we look at music and just explain how to play it like what are the notes for the vocal melody
    He goes way too fast
