I'm leaving a comment in regards to the small statement you made about adding seasons( 0:22 ) to DayZ and had some ideas about how it would work in the game and what that would look like. Summer: It's very hot during the day. So hot in fact that you have to keep an eye on your temperature. Wearing heavy clothing and doing a lot of running can cause it to go up faster. Drinking water, swimming, and "resting" in buildings can help you cool off. You spend less time near fires to avoid overheating. Best to move at night. Higher spawn rate for predatory wildlife, but meat is edible. Fall: Warm during the day, cool at night. You'll find a lot more rotten food on the ground since it's the season of harvest. You'll start seeing animals less often as they prepare for the colder season. Some predatory meat will be "infected". Good season for planting and harvesting vegetation. Trees and vegetation change color and the available camo/clothing colors also changes. Winter: It's cold during the day and even colder at night. You have to actively keep moving or build fires to stay warm, extra layers will help. Vegetation grows slowest in winter. Lowest spawn rate for wildlife. Can only swim or tread water for short periods or you risk freezing to death. Lots of rivers freeze over. Highest spawn rate for canned goods. Weather is snowy or foggy. Clothing/Camo changes.
