I am enjoying your video. I spent the month of July on Newfoundland - pulled a trailer from Michigan - including seven days in Gros Morne. Although I did not take the Trout Pond hike, I understand that it can take you up the backside of the Tablelands. I also hiked up Gros Morne Mountain. Fantastic hike. When I got to the overlook at 10 Mile Pond, I found I was missing my phone. Hiked back up to the summit sign, and after a brief look around, I found it on the ground. Must have fallen out of my pocket while eating my lunch. Good that I wanted to take a photo of the overlook, otherwise I would not have known it was missing until I reached the parking lot. Lucky! Also had the same guides on the Western Brook Pond boat tour! Fantastic place. I enjoyed the trip back through your video. Your right - there is Canada nice and then there is Newfoundland nice! Had a great chat with a couple from Gander who took travelers in during 9/11. Just fantastic people.

Incredible! Newfoundland is such a beautiful place, and the people really do make it even more special. I actually had a great conversation with a local who told me about the musical Come From Away, such a touching story that really shows the kindness of Newfoundlanders. I’m really glad you enjoyed the video and that it brought back some memories from your trip. Sounds like you had an amazing adventure, and it’s cool we had some of the same experiences at Gros Morne!

@@snailtrailoutdoors I suggest the RUclips video about the events in Gander on 9/11. Not sure of the exact link, but if you put in the key words "Tie a Yellow Ribbon Gander" you should get it. It was done by Tom Brokow at the time of the Vancouver olympics. If you get the chance, there are great hiking trails near Twillingate and Bonavista.
