2024 Severn Valley Railway Autumn Steam Gala

The perennial highlight of the annual gala calendar once again was held at the Severn Valley Railway on a sometimes damp and thundery weekend in September. The visitors took on a largely LMS theme, with 45596 'Bahamas' and 44932 providing the muscle, while LYR tank no. 11456 works local trains. Summer visitor 2999 'Lady of Legend' also put in an appearance to keep the Swindon end up. Sadly the failure of the LYR tank for the first half of the gala saw ever-dependable 75069 step in.
