Had some testings with Blangdmire, and had some stuff that needed to be pointed out. - The deck can deck out unless you run fronts, I get it's a dark states and it runs on the soul but it's something to get out of the way -Blangdmire, is also in the same boat as Rezael, if you time it right the match is in your favour but if you don't, you get screwed over. Usually, the timing is 3-5 is the right timing but it really depends on how long the game goes - Persona Ride, g4 ride, or ride to any g3 would ignore effect nullification so if Blangdmire uses Divine Skill and you somehow survive, it's partially not the end of the world -If you stay on your current vanguard with no ride, you lose twin/triple drive -Depending on how you build your deck, it can eat your cb and starve -Having key pieces you are missing or pg on your soul sucks, especially if you put them in the soul with g1/g2 rideline (you probably need Miroslava to rectify this issue a bit) ? I also heard that Eva's glitter skill isn't affected since its an effect nullification not lost, which means Obscuideid can still retain shield and intercept but don't quote me on that I have yet to test that -RIP Greedon and Androld/Direful Dolls, if you know, you know So overall, Blangdmire is definitely a strong deck, this entire essay-long comment is not meant to take away from that. However, it's definitely not as uber-broken once you break down the flaws a bit. But still having to lose twin/triple drives and a whole turn sentinel restrict definitely hurts.
I ended up testing against the deck using lascaria and it's surprisingly a lot more fair than I expected. now keep in mind the reason probably is because sidirakka is a dumbass card. but I was able to play beat by beat against the blandgmire player while maitaining my tempo. that or they were just timing it in such a poor way that it just didn't matter in the slightest.
@@nekoluxuria7721 actually i also did this, once i survived the divine skill by maintaining low damage early so i could eat attacks. After that they kinda can't do much + lascaria's iron defense is hard to break through even with their numbers. After all their cb was used at 4 with no way of cc, it was basically just me attacking lascaria with crit, rg's to rg's, and playing to deckout, which blangdmire surprisingly does quickly
@@fishingszn1892it's surprising how fast they can deckout too. The restander did not matter in the slightest on that MU since I could paralyze their backrow alchemist forcing them to use hand to restand again and siddaraka being a dumbass card.
One funny thing about Blangdmire is that he says "choose your opponent's Vanguard" so if you play the Stoicheia card that can give the front row unit Resist, then he can't nullify the VG's abilities but he can the player. The sentinel restrict still applies too.
I was scared to find out Blangdmire's skill at first because of how the anime portrayed it and thought how broken it was at first, but with this clarification I can safely say that it's not the end of the world if Blangdmire's Divine Skill activates.
I like the card design for it being a turn 4 play or later play, and the negation effect isn’t the entire vg where even re riding won’t work which will hurt a lot of decks! Tho my only bad take is the ride line force soul charge the g1 and above which means pg and p ride might have a chance to be place in it or a big wiff. :( overall pretty well design and will be impactful with tat good g1 tat restands!

Drajewelled can only kill Blandgmire if he managed to push to 4 or 5 on turn 3. Otherwise he is screwed. Meaning only Drajewelled Masques while Ignis is too slow and won't even get a turn.
You can't actually guard him even with OT if he has Swirler behind him though. To rub even more salt, you can also put two Quen Lu on your other RG, supposedly the opponent used up all his g0 and successfully guard Blangdmire, they can't do sh*t against the other 2 of your RGs. 😅
I beat a welstra player with this deck, I did get an ot tho the turn before, he was able to guard Blangdmire but he was not able to guard my 3 crit zamoog with 40k
The only way to bypass Blangdmire effect if somehow in a later divinez set, we get new sentinels with the ability to put them to the guardian circle, because the effects clearly says only from hand
U can only gd normally from hand (suggested that you have to use OT in hand if able), or u have to pray for miracle heal or OT. Because even Elementaria is nullified.
@@Kienduong-ru3nbYou must rush the hell out of Blandgmire, but replenish hand at the same time. The only thing that can ruin things are defensive triggers.

Wooow, persona undo this divine skill....... so stupid. But maybe fair, because no cb, no other cost. Only having 8 face down cards in bind. Still very strong. Vs this deck you just need persona in your deck, but still kinda broken + 1 crit... if you draw OT its almost over, 3 crit and you have 3-5 damage + 3 more its over. Blangdmire the Deletor 2.0 is here and it's broken awesome.
