Vault Hunters is a modpack currently in Open Beta after being showcased in Alpha on the Vault Hunters SMP with Iskall85, CaptainSparklez, and many other RUclipsrs. It is unique in that it focuses on action rpg style gameplay as well as all the classic Minecraft elements, with over 2.1 billion different chestplates, swords, idols and more, the pack features a never-before-seen depth!

I hope I didnt disappoint too much with my first vault run 😅 I promise I will practice before our next episode so hopefully I can complete some objectives at a minimum! Going to put some skills in and get gear upgrades to make it easier ASAP!
me doesnt think you need practice. you just killed 2,783,112 mobs in 6 minutes and no deaths. i normally somehow kill myself every 10 minutes from something stupid. but i really like the modpack. its like sevtech, but instead of grinding for rare metals, you go through vaults. makes it much more fun. i am so glad you chose this Dr. Rage

Vault Alter? you mean the Valter?
Practice makes perfect! To loot faster, you could bind the "sort inventory" from Inventory Tweaks to whatever key. Also, you could do some Minecraft raids to get some totems of undying.

for the gifter statue place a chest underneath it and it will start producing the material, also, name the statue to "Danny" to get a larger boost
Is the name Danny for a boost an actual thing?

You did awesome. It's not likely that you'll start beating vault bosses for a while. Bailing on vaults is not a bad thing. As others have mentioned: Dash and Cleanse are very helpful for vault running. Really enjoying the series so far. Keep it up!
Iskall makes it look easy, but he's had a LOT of practice
@@snowgods2195 my mans has more than 60days of in game time (prob more if u combine vhsmp s1/legacy)
Iskall bailed on 11 of his first twelve vaults without killing the boss, and that was in the series after he had done dozens of vaults in playtesting.
@@scottchristofersen2367 is this vhsmp cause I think he beat like 1 boss on his 8or 9th vault there
@@asharsinghmalhotra7062 no on his own most recent vault series but also in the SMP series. It’s wise not to try and kill the boss a lot of the time and just snag as much loot as you can before running back out.
A few tips:
Put the Gifter Statues on a chest/barrel and it'll generate a resource (check the description of the gifter statue to see which resource it will generate).
Also make sure to mine all Vault Ores with a silk touch pickaxe and store them because you'll be able to get more fortune in the future.
Be sure to always bring enough storage so you don't have to leave it early; I recommend spending as much time as possible in a vault for looting (except if the modifiers are really terrible).
Also don't toss the statue when it runs out, as they can be used to craft better statues (eventually)

Something that i have been learning about this modset, is whenever you run into something that is farmable on the alter, instead of just going out and hunting for the stuff, i make a farm for it, like i had to get a music disc once... now i have a music disc farm, that also does gunpowder. and something else i found out, is there are some things you cant farm... like fishing... so get ready for that.
You can make a fish farm... It's difficult but not impossible...

Discovered this series a few hours ago and I've been binging the first three episodes. I really love the way how you are explaining it and keeping everything organised! As much as I like this modpack and the vault runs, please don't forget building and designing beautiful projects :) Much love from the Netherlands!

You should pillar up to avoid getting swarmed by zombies when opening chests or if you need to organize your inventory.
Definitely bring shulker boxes next time so you could loot more.
If you’re worried about getting out in time maybe invest in the waystone tech so you can maximize looting then just teleport back to the portal. [edit: waystones don’t work in the vault so ignore this suggestion.]
Also I’m sure there’s some list of what is and isn’t worth looting from vaults given how precious inventory space is.

@@PaulZappia was it removed from the vault? I recall folks on Iskall’s smp using them and him specifically responding to viewers asking him why he doesn’t. But that was a while back.
@@donbert The waystone blocks themselves are blacklisted from being place-able in the vault, but they still work outside the vault. Unless you're talking about waypoints with the minimap mod, which in that case, they do still work perfectly fine.
The Hbomb tactic of pillaring up certainly works. 3 blocks up creates a safe space.
Waystones are expensive to build (check the recipe) and don’t work in vaults.
The tip to bring a lot of shulker-like storage into the vault I support. U’ll run out out of storage quickly when running vaults with no expanded storage.
@@donbert waystones only work in the vanilla worlds (overworld, nether, end). The devs made it so they don’t work in the vaults. Just like enderchests and Sparklez’s mining apparatus in s1.
Definitely not disappointed in your first vault. It was a very entertaining episode!
Looting tip in the vault is to focus on looting the non-vanilla blocks. There are a lot of things that can only be obtained in the vaults that you want to focus on. Useful vanilla things like gold, diamonds, ancient debris, and compressed blocks are still good to loot though.
Also you should spend your extra 3 skill points before your next vault. The skills will really help you out. Some good ones to look at are dash, rampage, and cleanse

you did alright for someone who hasn't played the legacy version or watched to many of the VHSMP runs that the current group do, you can also check out Iskall himself doing low level runs or ask for people who are on the official servers for tips, we don't mind the questions, the pack also does have it's own website
For sure the fans of Vault Hunters will give tips!
Those doors require keys that you craft, don’t worry about them until later. Also, Id recommend rushing a bit more, avoid killing mobs where you can (dash is great for that), pillar up, grab loot, dash away and repeat.

Take a level in Cleanse and keybind it. That will help A LOT with the poison.
You're doing good going in largely blind.
Yeah that potion recipe is by design to make the vaults more challenging. I would recommend 6 at least, more if you plan to take on a boss
For a first vault run u did great! U looted a lot and that’s what u need to do when low level. Collect loot to get stronger. Later u will be strong enough to kill the mobs but right now your only choice is to loot.

btw, the special door you saw requires a special key made from the corresponding vault gem

You can skip some items from vault chest like stone, gravel to save more space. And cleanse with first level will help you a lot about poison
I've watched iskall85 open hundreds if not thousands of those things and he hasn't gotten a twitch emote unless I've blinked. Nice job! 🤣
Make sure you get Cleanse to cure the poison effects and when you open a chest click your middle mouse button to sort it which makes clearing them out with only the items you need.
Oh, MAKE WAYPOINT IN THE ROOM JUST OUTSIDE THE PORTAL ROOM!! otherwise you may end up behind the portal room and end up racing to go around the rooms to bail.
You can add a pressure plate to the top of the vault altar. makes it so you just need to step on it. Stone matches the color but an obsidian pressure plate looks really good
You did well on your first vault! But try to bring silk touch pickaxe instead because vault ores have a chance to drop 0 gems. You get better fortune levels in the future.

Gold is pretty common in vaults up until level 25 I think. And at that point you won’t find as much, and golden apples are more of a rare find. I could be wrong though.
And don’t worry about the TNT explosive traps only occur after level 25. Don’t feel like you have to grab everything out of a chest, black chests are gilded and they’ll have higher tier loot.
They still occur under level 25. Unfortunately Iskall couldn't fix it.

You did pretty good. Yeh many with gold farm is a good idea and I found to have smite on the sword works soo well since most are undead including the bosses
you are supposed to stay until about a minute or so left so you get the max loot, but you made a good start. Keep up the good content.
I suggest bringing a shield to the vault,to protect you from projectiles
shields require a vault gem to make in this pack, so they aren't all that valuable, even in the legacy(first version of the pack) version

Presumably, TNT traps aren't supposed to be a thing(unless you punch the TNT) until vault level 25.
wonder if that's fixed. Iskall had a few blow up in his series 😂😂

I almost died when he went to the mines I didn’t realize his portal was there I thought he was looking for blackstone in the overworld

Those doors have alot of lot behind them but the keys are mad expensive
Spend a few skill points on reach so you can open chests without getting poisoned and that Christmas thing that gives you stuff you have to put a chest under it and it will put the stuff in the chest
Dude made a god apple
My first Vault, I accidentally right-clicked a bed when going for a chest...instant death! I teleported back to my death point...and my dead body was nowhere to be found...I lost all of my enchanted Netherite tools/weapons/armor...so, I am done playing since it took me dozens of hours finding enough diamonds and ancient debris and they are just gone now
any death inside the vault means those items are gone, poofed into the void, by design

Deaths in vaults are kinda the point of the pack
If you wanna cheat back your stuff to have another try there's a command you run which gives it all back
In my world i came to the conclusion that later it gets eaiser to get healing pots and gold apples, but I built a gold farm and It was AWESOME because i had infinite healing without feeling conservative about using them so you should do that probably. Its not that hard really to set one up
U found the secret! Build farms to get stronger
For the vaults, get yourself a silk touch pickaxe for vault ore
also a witch dropped a healing potion, watch for that
TNT no go boom unless you touch it. It's not a trap until lvl 25+

Rage do ctrl+q to drop a whole stack thanks it kinda triggered me and the gifters have to be put on an inventory
Put a chest under the gift statue thingy. It'll deposit The block it generates into the chest until it turns grey or 'dies'
Ever since I made my Gold Farm it has felt like a waste. You tend to get at least 1-2 Golden Apples in Vault Runs from Loot anyways.

Gold farm should be first farm with this modpack
Don't make a gold farm, make a Raid Farm, witches give you health I, so just add glowstone (witch drop too) and gunpowder (guess what? which drop too). Also a LOT of emerald, totem, Redstone, and saddle. You can make a potion separator after the stackable items separator :)
Oh, don't forget to destroy the totem/saddle after getting 2 or 4 chests. A dropper pointed to lava should do it.
Chutes are much easier than droppers
the gifter statues need to be on a chest so the statues can put there item in the chest

I love your videos man, i have watched them for years. Even in your early stages of RUclips Channel you did an awesome job of making video and the quality if video was amazing aswell. naw Iskall intended the gold apples to be pricey a gold farm is a must not sure how he is claiming enough gold in his runs to keep up with his excessive potion uses

You not knowing what to do with a lot of the items you gained like the statues reminds me about why this pack isn’t my favorite. It’s so big and complex but NO documentation, no guide etc.
There's a basic wiki, an entire discord, and multiple beginner guides out rn.
