BTW, Solingen is the city in Germany where these are forged, which is known as the "city of blades" for its deep history in the knive-making industry. The city actually trademarked the name of the city because many cheap knives were being made elsewhere that had "Made in Solingen" on them. There is now a strict set of quality control measures that have to be implemented just to allow the use of the city name on any product with cutting edges.
