- Today we take a deep dive into Realm of the Mad God's lore to solve a huge mystery that I'm sure has been playing on everyone's minds: who is responsible for keys being sold in the Nexus? I intend to solve this mystery by laying out all the facts plain and simple. Nothing gets past me, not even the smallest of contradictions from the smallest of NPCs. I hope you enjoy this intense investigation, and perhaps learn a thing or two.

We found Wanderer's Journal 1! It gives a very vague backstory of the Wanderer, as I expected. The backstory is simply that the Wanderer's home was destroyed by Oryx. It also says her portal creation powers were only awakened after this event. With this information, I present a new, more refined Wanderer theory: She was created by the Crystal Entity as an experiment to live amongst the surface folk and learn more about them. After Oryx destroyed her village, however, the Crystal Entity awakened her powers to repurpose her as a weapon against Oryx. After all, she already had a strong hatred for him.
Portals might require high mana powers so it need crystal/stone to store, or maybe crystal have to do with portaling or magic in general.
Trickster can teleport, and they using crystal (prism)
Staves/wands are basically crystal with sticks, they might work like creating portals near the sun transfering the energy into users as projectiles.
Hence also why the only mining bussines exist in the game is....mining crystals (crystal cavern).
This is incredibly well researched and makes a lot of sense!
I love when people do stuff like this, it makes the game feel more immersive for me personally and I would one day like to contribute to that. Sadly, I seem to be lacking your big brain ideas... :D
The moment that really hit me came right after 3:03.
Despite the incredibly limited amount of lore available to us from the creators of the game, there is a lot of reasoning behind it and it was pure deduction on your part.
Very well done!!
But hey, that's just a theory... A game theory! Thanks for watching.
he's done it again. the venerable Cad Jones asks the question we're all asking, is
not only asks, but also answers. truly, this is
The Wanderer doesn't have any attacks, phases, dialogue, anything to indicate she was created by the crystal entity
That's why it's a theory. Do you have any alternative ideas for the Wanderer's origins?
@@CadJones I feel like a theory should have more of a basis though. Anyways, according to the official lore the Wanderer wants revenge on Oryx, so realistocally, she's probably from some oppressed group or race of humanoids
@@Voldycssm19 There is very little Wanderer lore to go off of, the theory is based on all the lore we do have. Based on Wanderer's Jornal 1, she gains these powers after witnessing Oryx destroy her home village, so it's likely not a normal thing for whatever race she was living among. That means it had to come from elsewhere, and most of the interdimensional travelers we know about are tied to the crystal entity. I wrote an update theory based on Wanderer's Journal 1, which you can read in the pinned comment.
Holy shit that was a plot twist
If not Toastrz's discord message then I would assume it's just Gemsbok selling those, and the Dwarf Miner twist was a result of bad lore writing.
i think gemsbok is too taxing
If Gemsbok were the one selling keys, there would be a 40% tax. At least.
@@CadJones enough with this dogshit "interregnum", and "void" lore, when do we get the taxes lore
Taxes lore DLC when
Deemeetis upsets me
