Im sooo worried about my boy Tua. It really hurts to see him like that. But i agree….Tua should retire. His wife and kids need him alive and healthy. This is just too much for his body to deal it. 4-5 concussions. No!!!!!
Not the time nor the place to make that comment, guy. How many QBs do we see running for a first down? IF you watch more than one game, then you know it's more than enough. How they slide, or not, is a case-by-case basis. The guy just got paid and he wants to show that he's worth the $. I have no doubt he believed he was doing the right thing to help his team win "in that moment."
Tua must retire before he becomes a guy that cant talk right. Cant walk right. Cant think right. It wasn't even a hard hit. Imagine if it was a HARD HIT.
The way he hit, it actually looked more like a compression injury in his neck. Pressure on the spinal cord around that particular part of the brain could also cause the fencing position Tua presented. I have a chronic neck disability and have had neurological issues from the neck area doctors thought were concussions but were instead compression injuries. I hope Tua is ok, he may have herniated disc in his neck on the hit, that’s how it happened to me.
IMHO he wasn't concussed until his head whipped and hit the ground, like a boxer's head hitting the canvas after taking a KO blow.... that sudden deceleration of the head... where the brain keeps moving...
Retire. Tua Tagovailoa signed a 4 year , $212,400,000 contract with the Miami Dolphins, including $42,000,000 signing bonus, $167,171,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $53,100,000. In 2024, Tagovailoa will earn a base salary of $1,125,000 and a signing bonus of $42,000,000, while carrying a cap hit of $9,525,000 and a dead cap value of $93,171,000.
FINALLY someone is speaking the truth. I thought he should consider retirement two years ago. Jahvid Best was the perfect example of the effects of brain trauma.
In most cases injuries are a lot lower when you take out pro level and maybe college. In the NFL everyone is bigger faster stronger . When people move faster and with more force it's more likely to negatively effect the human body .
Prayers up for tua. Just horrible and tragic. Dude forgot his lessons of 2022 and didn’t slide WTH! That being said, the dolphins cut white and have no third string now who do they bring in? Tannehill? Duggan? A trade possible? I can t imagine he’d be ok out of this to be back anytime soon. I like Skylar Thompson but he’s going to learn fast and he’s 1 deep.
It's just really sad. He's done nothing wrong and worked damn near his whole life to make it to this point just to have to stop to save his life. Stay up Tua!!!! ❤
Huge fan of Tua and the Dolphins - but I think it’s time to retire Tua for his own good. Tua is an outstanding young man and deserves enjoy his life along with his family
I hope Tua gets well. As a person who suffered from a head injury, he is now risking his life if he continues to play football. That said Tua getting concussed is nothing new, he actually concussed himself. Management should have never paid that kind of money (much like Love and Lawrence who don't deserve these delusional contracts). Miami keeps proving they can't get a quality win, now things will get much tougher and worse.
Be like Woody. If it’s a brotherhood like players claim it is, protect your brother. Everyone is thinking the same thing but is trying to be politically correct in not speaking the truth. Too much, “Well who are we to make a choice for someone, we aren’t on his shoes” talk. If he dies or has long term issues the NFL and Miami are FUCKED.
He doesn't seem to be very intelligent to be well past the first down and then dive head first which was totally unnecessary. Especially considering his history of concussions, that is a dumb thing to do. I agree, he should retire, it's not worth it.
What got me about that one was that was such a normal play that happens multiple times every game wasn’t a crazy hit at all and it put him down. If I was him id wanna finish the season to have one more go around and call it a career after the season and enjoy my young rich life
Axial-compression. Look at the hit, his neck took the brunt of the impact. Compression injuries that affect the spinal cord can cause concussion symptoms because it’s technically still a brain injury and the fact he was able to get up on hospital own and walk off looking relatively cogent further indicates to me that its not actually a concussion but a moderate neck compression injury.
oh good, add traumatic spinal cord injury to the list after multiple traumatic brain injuries. Sounds like a healthy nervous system good for professional tackle football.
Yes, Mr Woody, I have to agree. I have racked up over 2 dozen concussions. The entertainment of other people is not worth the sacrifice. I got a slew of mine in pro wrestling. We called them "nouggies". And I will NOT be comfortable watching him continue to play like Steve Young.
I'm praying for Healing, and Discernment for Tua. Maybe The Good Lord is trying to tell him to move on to the Next part of his calling, maybe not. God knows..... Y'all pray with me, please.
If he has to that's fine. He knows he can play. We know he can play. Can he stay healthy? That's the other challenge. Clearly he has a challenge physically that he's not in full control of. Concussions are serious. The competitor in him wants to prove he can beat that challenge. Steve Young Troy Aikman and others did the same. But it's not that simple.
I’m not a dolphins fan BUT I am a fan of the game of football, and what these players do is put their bodies at risk and health for PUR entertainment, retire tua for you and your fam ❤And become a qb coach or stay around the locker room!
Tua has the bigger injury risk. Watson has the bigger risk of never playing good again. Watson has not been the same since all his legal troubles started. I still can't believe how much the Browns paid him.
DID THIS FN DUDE JUST SAY TUA PLAYED WELL PRIOR TO THE INJURY ? HE HAD 3 PICKS !!! HE COULDN'T MAKE ANY THROWS TO THE BEST RECEIVER IN THE LEAGUE AND OTHER GREAT WEAPONS . We know this guy didnt watch the game. Tua i wish you a speed recovery .
Its tyreeks fault bringing bad carma after lying and getting officers in trouble because he was scum and now look carma came around quick i hope tua is safe and ok but om happy tyreek had no good game and hope he doesn't have a good year . Miami should have suspended his ass.
Just want to say Tua should retire, and NFL in Brazil is an objectively poor decision regarding the safety of NFL players. The peter principle has infected nearly every aspect of entertainment and big business.
I know the cool thing to do is freak out about this and start praying for his health and begging for his retirement. But Tua is going to be fine. He will keep playing. The Muay Thai fighters in One FC get hit way harder for way less money. Some of those dudes got like 100 fights and still banging. 🙄
Lets be honest. Yes Tua needs to retire based on his concussions. If he doesn't retire for health reasons then he should be fired for being ine of the worst QBs in the league.
No one would be upset, we’d all be happy if Tua finally decides to protect himself
Im sooo worried about my boy Tua. It really hurts to see him like that. But i agree….Tua should retire. His wife and kids need him alive and healthy. This is just too much for his body to deal it. 4-5 concussions. No!!!!!

Go enjoy the rest of your life, kid.
Thats not enuff
He needs another payday
Doesn’t work that way …. Retirement means you repay % of signing bonuses, ask Calvin Johnson and Andrew Luck
Enjoy your money, you will already have serious lingering effects from this. He gets another 1 it's over for him

Damian Woody is a real one. Speaking truth

They know he can't play, but they don't seem to care.
he got the bag. he can finally retire!
If I was his wife I’d beg him to retire. His head just can’t take any more I’d imagine.🙏

I was thinking the same thing when I saw it
absolutely looked like it was to the neck
I'm with you Woody.. Health over wealth! I hope this young man protects himself for his family!

Maybe don’t lead with your head down. Especially after having multiple gruesome head injuries…..they teach you that in every level since pop warner.
Tua needs to retire…. Damien woody 100% correct
As great as Earl Campbell could run, I guarantee you that he would LOVE to be able to walk again...
Well said.
Miami Dolphins need to draft a new quarterback
50 years without a winning Super Bowl quarterback
Draft Carson beck
NFL is irresponsible if they let Tua play again.
You are so right! Damage from concussions are cumulative.
Nah ….that’s on the Dolphin’s
He's a grown man.
Who are yall to tell this kid to stop chasing his dreams
@@hitek9too255 He is grown and so are the gladiators on that field. And it’s not their job to look out for Tua. It’s their job to kill him.
Please let Tua be okay
He needs to heal and then make decisions that are based on medical evidence and advice. Very sad to see this happening .
FINALLY someone is speaking the truth. I thought he should consider retirement two years ago. Jahvid Best was the perfect example of the effects of brain trauma.
I knew the Dolphins would regret paying him!
Incredibly careless that he dived head first. What was he thinking?
He wasn't, as usual.
Tua has been riddled with injuries for his entire career. It's time to pull the plug and put his quality of life first. Don't let your family down
This is exactly why so many parents are scared to death to let their kids play football. Nothing is worth your brain health.
In most cases injuries are a lot lower when you take out pro level and maybe college. In the NFL everyone is bigger faster stronger . When people move faster and with more force it's more likely to negatively effect the human body .

Go back to the mothaland brotha enjoy ya life 🤙🏽
It's a lose, lose, Bills win situation
guy would b nuts to keep playing
If he does come back he needs to wear the new helmet protection.
That does not prevent brain injuries. You could have 2 feet of padding, your brain rattling around in your skull from an impact is unpreventable.

Why was he not wearing the gaurdian cap? Someone thats had past concussions should wear them

He should give back the money and walk away.
