YESSSS!!!!!!!! I love how you hold yourself back from trying to sneak the halter over her ears! A great display of patience! And I like this format ☺️such amazing progress, she clearly has come a long way 🤩🥳
Great ur getting such good progress, she seems eager most of the time and she definitely looks super comfortable with you. Can’t wait to see what comes next!🙃
This is so great! She went from a mare scared to be touched to a mare who can be haltered! This is going so fast! 😅 After a couple months you’ll be in the saddle!
This was fantastic! Good job! And I want to THANK you because watching your last session where Zara learned to touch your hand gave me an idea. I tried doing it with my 8 yr old gelding who I have been doing R+ with for over 6 years but still is so mouthy and bite-y and defensive when my hands are near his face and neck. And after a few sessions he is now holding his head and neck against my hand and NOT biting!! I am thrilled! Thank you for the inspiration!
Timestamps are GREAT! but, if you want to go one step extra, make them like this: 00:45 - 03:22 working with rope 03:23 - 07:54 working with halter etc :D Love this progress. Zara is smarter than many humans, I'll tell you that! :D
Oh my goodness! I'm so impressed by how you're progressing with her using this method! She really seems to connect with you well, too. Great job! Also her dark coat is just so beautiful!
About the fly spray, I have a horse and he will tolerate it just he backs up and moves around, almost stepping on me each time. It’s only his legs that bother him though
She seems like such a sweet horse, and I love how your so patient, she really trusts you! It's hard to get a horse to trust you, especially in my situation with my horse as he was abused previously and didnt trust anyone :( however, now he is the sweetest most trusting horse and I trust him so much when I jump ❤ Im so I'm so glad she immediately trusts you, and I'm so happy!
She is indeed very smart and willing to learn. I am pretty sure she could count to five all on her own... She is also the most food motivated horse I have seen.
Oh man seriously!! Zara is actually quite low on the motivation spectrum for motivation w good. My mustang is so food motivated I had to contact a behaviorist to try and help with how overstimulated she gets with food and +R
Zara is adorable! I do like his style of video (Like- the multiple sessions in one vid) and I would like to see you keep doig it. You are really inspirig to me, and my 1st favourite youtuber. keep up the great work!
I mean, they are 2 different horses with 2 different personalities. You have to keep in mind they are wild horses. Marina is using a different training technique with Zara after learning with Zurreal.
I really like the format of putting all the same training together, it's makes it much easier to understand the progression and how far she's really come! you're doing such a fantastic job with her 💕💕
I am in a class called Animal Training in college and we are doing pretty much the same thing. It truly is really cool how they pick things up easily or struggle on certain steps.
This is awesome!! when you first started i was kind of against using treats and this training method but now that i see how it transfers into hatlering, lowering head, ect. i am starting to like it more and more. One day I hope to try it on a mustang myself!! I cant believe how smart she is. I cant wait to see her improve!
Honestly me too. I was so against +R a few years ago! After reading a few science based books about learning theory and calming signals in horses I slowly started to move over toward this direction. If nothing else this is way more fun for me 😂
@@GypsyEquestrian I honestly dont know why it gets such a bad rep. I talked to a couple of trainers and they all say that +R doesn't work when it does! I hope to see more people using it soon. So glad that your using it!
@@Bri_and_Barrels It generally comes with people using treating methods without establishing proper boundaries or getting lax with them later on causing issues too. Sometimes when you get a new horse to work with the treating reward system isn't always for the best, especially with quite a shut down horse, it can end up masking other issues that may blow up later on. Treating can definitely help with confidence quickly and is a fab method to use for a horse with no trust in people... but looking for calm 'relaxed' signals is still a priority down the road later when working with a more confident/trusting animal. Some people's horses get weirdly overstimulated/excited because they weren't rewarding a horse with a calm mindset but one in a high state of anxiety. It's good but like everything you need to set parameters/goals and boundaries you must look for at the start. Lots of people don't or they don't do the right thing and sit down and get educated/read what went into certain training methods, sadly giving up when they hit a bump in the road. ;)
you are an amazing horse trainer! Zara is having great progress, I am so happy for you and her. I wish the best luck to you and zara. she is a very brave horse, she reminds me of my four year old gelding, he has a personality a little bit like Zara.
Hiiiii! I followed your journey with Zurreal and now with Zara and I just wanted to say how much I absolutely love this series. Zara is so gorgeous and so intelligent and your videos and progress are just 🥰. Your hard work is paying off and it must be so rewarding. Really looking forward to future videos and thank you for sharing it with us. xx
I am 12 and when I’m older I want to have a horse barn and I’m doing lots of research but I thought maybe ask you this because I’ve been subbed for a while. What do you feed a horse? I know there might be multiple different things but what do you feed Zara and Kazi?
YESSSS!!!!!!!! I love how you hold yourself back from trying to sneak the halter over her ears! A great display of patience! And I like this format ☺️such amazing progress, she clearly has come a long way 🤩🥳

Maybe when she is finished with the basic training you can make a progression montage from start to finish.
That’s a good idea!
I love this editing style. It us easier to track progress! If you have time, please keep doing it!
