I'm now blessed to live in idaho. I wish you could have looked around more because I'm near there & see a lot in the National Forest. Yes there are nice white tails on public land in 16. Just need to have more time. Tell your husband to bring you up for a solid week & get to know the place.

I was hoping you would be successful! I am in NEO just a couple hours from the idaho border and yes those mtn WTs are sketchy!! They rarely ever give you that second look! I choose a local muzzleloader hunt so it becomes more of a sit and wait for them to come to me thing as they are so hard to sneak on. Mid Nov is the usual rut over here and it is about 2 weeks past the mule deer rut for what ever reason. Did you get any Oregon tags this year??
