As a Giants fan, I hated the signing from the beginning. He's exactly what he's always been, an unreliable starter who's injured often and when he does pitch, has elite level stuff with no control whatsoever. He'll pitch to a ton of strikeouts, and a ton of walks. He's going to give you 3-5 innings per start, depending how well he can work around the walks on a given night.
Lifelong Rays fan- loved snell but his issues before and after his CY year here was always walks and having them compound in one bad inning. Typically the fourth or fifth, was absolutely maddening. When he’s on, and it’s typically when his command of his curve is there, dudes unstoppable. We lost that trade too. Absolutely horrible return.

As a Reds' fan, we saw this in reality with a ridiculous long-term contract for Homer Bailey years ago. His durability was always an issue and this type of market correction for pitchers seemed inevitable. This reminds me of how the market for RBs has shifted in the NFL. @@SuperRainbolNBA is a bad comp - they have new rules that screw over Super Teams now. Just ask Golden State fans about that.
But he won 2 cy Young's just like lincecum
never wanted to be in SF, couldnt care less about the team and just out to get a big contract. total bust of a pitcher.
Even tho it was an accident still mad at snell for hitting bryce Harper’s thumb last year as a Phillies Phan
I don't understand the "he missed spring training" thing. You're telling me a millionare who just plays baseball can't warm up or do their own training at a baseball field or whatever or even at their luxurious homes? I'm sure these dudes can afford an MLB type inner field.
I mean yeah players practice and work out on their own but they're not getting the MLB quality at bats and guidance from a team paying a lot more for them.
Ain't like snell could pitch against AAA guys with scouting reports in his backyard even if he was a billionaire
Thank You Scott Boras, for not letting the Yankees get fleeced this offseason 😘🙏🏿😂
Juat give him time...
Jordan Montgomery is killing me
