You're not alone. I share the same "thorn in the flesh" as you. I'm also on the ASD spectrum. God loves us too. Speaking of myself, I was saved at the age of 14, which was a miracle as my abusive, disciplinarian stepdad who tried unsuccessfully to punish my odd behavior and lack of social graces out of me and an overprotective mother who knew I had "enough problems without getting religion" wouldn't have allowed my newly uncle any un-micromanaged access to me to give me the Gospel if they hadn't been distracted and had to take care of something urgent happening outside the house. Anyhow, my parents returned, my uncle immediately left and I went into one of my selective muteness episodes as far as what happened when they were gone. I had it tough always being on an uneven playing field. To shorten my story, my alcoholic biological father was too drunk to care and my stepfather cared enough to beat me to rebellion. Being that he wasn't my only source of abuse as that coming from other kids made it neccessary for me to lift weights and take judo and karate lessons to fight them off when my peers jumped me, like them my stepfather also feared my growing formidability and increasing mental instability as I was storing up his and their abuse like a capacitor and he stopped beating me (although being a control/power freak, he kept up the mental abuse in desperate attempts to keep an upper hand on me). After I turned 18, he threw me out because of his fear of me. Being that my folks weren't church goers, I was socially isolated in a very hostile environment where I never got the fellowship, guidance, mentoring and discipling that most Christians take for granted. I read my Bible from cover to cover countless times being gifted in reading. I prayed constantly, often for Him to heal me of whatever was wrong with me. The problems and situations remained. I tried my darnedest to live a Christian life while desperately trying to maintain control of a wild, enraged and battle scarred and crazed mind teetering on the edge of psychosis. I tried to stop sinning, but still found myself sinning. I still was getting into fights at school and having meltdowns where I'd either go stone silent, but also violent or into potty mouth laden fits of rage, word vomit and flying fists. Just as it is possible to overeat and get obese on a diet lacking in Vitamin C and die while still gaining weight--from scurvy, if a Christian doesn't get a balanced spiritual diet of church attendence, fellowship, prayer, Bible reading and study and other neccesary spiritual food, he/she can become very weak and even backslide in their spiritual walk. Having stumbled upon and misinterpreted certain verses in Hebrews 6 & 10, one of Peter's epistles as well as 1st John 5 mentioning sins unto death and other such verses that might be taken to mean that one can irreversibly lose their salvation, I became a hardcore 5 point Arminianist (where I thought that I could lose and was losing my salvation). The perfect behavior and performance that my stepfather and other abusers unrealistically demanded of me didn't help either. Both 5 point Arminianism and its opposite, 5 point Calvinism are both wrong extremes to find oneself and can adversely affect how one is able to live a Christian life. Anyhow, after I turned 18, I started going to an independent Baptist church where for a short time, my spiritually malnourished soul could feast on the fellowship and some much needed mentoring that I had been denied in my walk. However, my condition invoked a lot of "friendly fire" from the others by making me socially inept (I was a social bull in a china shop), making me transmit and receive verbal and nonverbal communications wrongly (I came across wrongly and likewise, Imisinterpreted them). This on top of periods of selective muteness, anxiety attackscrippled my ability to witness and that also drew friendly fire for me when I joined their street and door to door evangelism ministry. My other social faux pas and gaffes didn't help matters either Relations grew cold and eventually I was abandoned to the wolves. Thinking that I had completely lost my salvation and only had Hell to look forward to, I was in spiritual freefall. Having lost all hope, I quickly backslid into my old fighting, cussing and violent ways and went further this time into drinking and drug addiction. At least on two occasions, I nearly went too far in separate fistfights. To this day, I still don't see how I avoided winding up dead, in prison or in a mental institution for life, let alone being delivered from my addictions and demon oppression, marrying twice and being widowed twice and am now in retirement. God's grace is the only logical answer I can come up with and I'm not sure He was being logical because I definitely don't deserve it. Like the lyrics to the song in either Jesus Christ Superstar or Godspell, " I don't know how to love Him" that say, "I have changed, I really changed! Nowadays when I see myself, I seem like someone else." I can say the same thing. I'm shockingly different than I was in my youth though from day to day, I saw little or no change from the day before (-: I'm now in my mid-60's & still kicking, though not in the karate sense anymore :-). That's the danger of doubting one's salvation as we can't take anything from Jesus' work on that cross and we can't add anything to it. He did all of the saving I needed for my whole life, not just up to my accepting Him as a teenager. I have a score card for Jesus' contributing work toward my salvation versus mine as follows: Jesus--everything, Ed---nada, zippo, zilch or in other words, I contributed nothing to my salvation. Jesus did all of the work. He gets all of the glory for saving me. In my room at 14, He came into my heart and took my whole lifetime of sins in this mortal body, past, present and future and took them with Him back in time, 2,000 or so years ago and carrying them via the Cross into the grave with Him where He deposited them. Paul said that he was crucified with Christ, which gives me an understanding of salvation from a new angle. I (my mortal body) in effect, died with Him on that cross and was buried, sins and all around 1,990 yrs ago if you do the math from 33 AD. It's just taking my mortal body time to get the message, which in the near future it will either at my death or at the rapture. Pues, puedemos decir "Adios por siempre a todos los pecados de Hermano Eduardo". In other words, "Thus, we can say goodbye forever to all of Brother Ed's sins". Jesus did it all! Just as He raised up in His glorified body, He'll likewise raise me up at the last day in my own glorified body. Praise Him for His grace and mercy! I definitely so don't deserve it! So much for my testimonial and my poor attempt at Spanish (I've been trying to learn Spanish for half a century since high school and English for the past 65 years). Those are just some of my works in progress and have a long way to go with those lessons. Likewise, God bought a "condemned handyman's special" (me) with His Blood and did a lot of repairs and fixing up, but still has a long way to go. Anyhow, it's late. Keep up the fight! Things like cancer, heart disease, asthma, epilepsy, blindness, etc. are real battles that real Christians are facing, but are not sins that some "name it, claim it, blab it & grab it" prosperity gospel charlatins will try to preach. "Not enough faith", "living in sin", of the "Devil or possessed by demons" and other lies from Hell are part of Satan's arsenal of lies that he gets often well meaning Christians to believe so that they can destroy the faith of the afflicted in the name of (and meaning to) helping them to repent of these so called sins so that they're "healed." I saw a video rebutting such practices these preachers engage in. One scene was a well known televangelist trying to exorcise a "demon of autism" out of a 10 year old boy. If I were a betting man, I'd probably be willing to bet my mortgage that the boy is still autistic because autism is not a demon or a sin for that matter. It is a neurological condition that people are born with. That scene made me outright sick to my stomach, not to mention triggering my PTSD resulting from the beatings, rejection, punishments and ridicule I endured as a kid (and a working adult) as a result of my own high functioning autism that I wasn't diagnosed with until my late 50's, which prompted me once fired because of my disabiltiy (they lied to cover up an assault by one of the owners who couldn't stand me and to make my firing, "just") to go into early disability retirement once diagnosed. I had a terminally ill wife to take care of at the time who needed and deserved my care more than my getting abused for a paycheck and then fired. I suffered also the friendly fire from a well meaning church that was deceived by the lie that I didn't have enough faith, was backslidden into sin and was oppressed by demons because of my odd behavior and my battles with anxiety and depression as spin off conditions from my autism & past abuse. I'll own those things that are sins such as my real backsliding, but their constant reminders of lack of faith, living in sin, of the devil and consequential rejection. that in turn eventually destroyed my faith, isolated me and surely didn't help matters when afterwards, I backslid. I had no support when I most needed it, but I refuse to blame my backsliding on that. I forgive them because they just didn't understand. I just wanted Michael, others out there and you all to know that there are others of us facing battles as a verse in, I think in Ephesians after the ones on puttting on the armor of God, puts it. God gives grace where needed for our sins, the trials, and for instance gave the superhuman ability to my two late wives to put up with and live with me and my issues while here on this Earth. I struggle with sexual sin, I always feel extremely guilt and sad when I fall for it, but I'm so happy that my lord and savior will still be their for me without anger or scorn, but with open arms. God bless you man, you helped me a lot.

When in reality, the closer you are to God, the harder Satan knocks on your door, demanding you to sin. I am a 71 year old former retired pastor. You would think that with my age and experience., I would not suffer with the same sins I had years ago, but I do! This video was a great encouragement to me as I still get discouraged at times but these videos have greatly encouraged me and praise God for them! When God saves, He saves to the uttermost. This is only half true. Yes, you cannot save yourself and yes, you do have to accept Salvation as a free gift. But it is also true that the doctrine of "once saved, always saved" is a lie of Satan. Your salvation CAN be lost, just like it was lost for king Saul. Saul was hand picked and anointed by God, full of the Holy Spirit. And he's also not going to be saved. Why? Because he chose to walk away and live life his own way instead of conforming to God's plan. Salvation is a free gift, but it is also contingent upon our willingness to conform our lives to God's will. Being baptized is not enough. Going to church once a week is not enough. You cannot live like the devil and still go to heaven. There will be many who come to Jesus saying "Lord, Lord" and he will say to them "Begone from me, I do not know you." In another place Christ says "Why do you call me Lord, and yet not do what I say?" Obedience still matters. We should not continue in sin that grace may abound. We are allowed to make mistakes. We are fallen beings, even after accepting Christ we will not immediately be made perfect, because sanctification is a process. But we must align our will with God's if we are to be saved, and saying that salvation can "never be revoked", is a dangerous teaching, because it tells people that if they accept Jesus once during an altar call that they can go out and sin as much as they want with no consequence, which is not true and will cause them to be lost. I don't know if that is what you meant to suggest or not, but I'm just cautioning against using that rhetoric in the future, as it is likely to cause many otherwise faithful Christians to stumble.

I struggle with the same thing. Over time He has made it less pleasurable and easier to avoid it. Keep praying asking for strength and change of mind. He will change you.
Over time if we regularly take all thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ, God will diminish the desire to the point where being right with God is more important to you than the temporal pleasure of the sin. You can die to this and live on to Christ.

I really needed to hear this today. I’m 50 years old and once believed when I was 24 but fell away because of an abusive pastor. Then I turned into an atheist when I was about 35 and just recently came back to Jesus a few months ago. I believe now and I was feeling really good for a couple of weeks. Then all of the sudden about a week ago I’ve wanted to give up because I don’t think I can be good enough. I haven’t given up. I still read the bible and pray every day. I just feel awful that I can’t be perfect and I give up hope. So this video was what I needed today. Now I have hope. But watching videos or reading things in the bible or elsewhere and how some people say if you believed in God you wouldn’t do this or that. So it makes you feel like you have to be perfect or obviously you don’t believe. But then you think if someone could be perfect Jesus isn’t necessary at all. It just all seems contradictory and it’s hard to understand. Sorry for rambling. But please pray for me I think I need the help.

Remember that God is not the author of confusion.If your consciousness tells you to stop something,stop it.We are not perfect until we enter heaven.It's a process. The point is trying to be better through the Holy Spirit. What I usually say myself is "You can't have faith without works,and you can't have works without faith"(the last one was just for encouragement,not really have to do with your comment) You got this! 🙂 God is always with you!
Trust me, I struggle with the same thing. I know which sin I struggle with most, which brings me down, but I have to keep reminding myself that I am imperfect. I hate the fact that this sin constantly tries to make me feel guilty and follows me wherever I go. I just have to ask God. I do not, or try not to, say anything out loud so as not to let the enemy hear me. I tell God, ‘Here comes another attack.’ The battle for the mind is great, but each time I say this only to God, I have been gaining ground over this sin little by little. This is one reason I chose not to reveal my sin. It’s not that I don’t want any of my fellow believers in Jesus Christ to know, but for this reason here: Satan can’t hear my thoughts to my Savior. It’s all I have, and God’s strength. But after also listening to this man’s videos, it helps me. So every time I feel I’m sinking into the sin, God says, ‘You haven’t committed the sin until you have submitted or given in to the sin.’ This is all I need, but I still struggle. However, I remain in the fight against the enemy because he will always try to tempt us. Another thing that keeps me in the fight is knowing that at least I have accepted Jesus as my Savior and I know he died for me because I have walked in faith alone. It can get scary walking that walk of faith, but the reward gives me the continued power. So in the event of my death, I tell God, ‘I don’t want to go to hell.’ I’m not like one of the millions that have never desired to know God, and what will happen at the end of life scares me for them. Many refuse God, and I tell them he gives you choices. Realize this, I say, when death comes, and everyone can admit there is death, I say to them, ‘There is also heaven and hell, and both are as real as death itself.’ God bless you and all who read this. Gods got you, he will not let the enemy snatch you out of his hand. Fight the good fight, put yr faith in Jesus. No one is good on this earth " only Jesus". Know when you pray, the Lord hears yr cry. Yr struggle now will be a blessing for others who are struggling also. I pray in Jesus precious name you will know who you are in the Lord and you are so precious he died for you. We will be persecuted in this life, know that, and when you are know God is with you. It’s extremely hard for us Christians, because we so know better. We know as some others don’t really know much of anything regarding God and his son Jesus. I thank God this video came up. This spoke to me on so many levels. I am an overthinker. I have been struggling with all kinds of twisted thoughts to the point I feared which was or wasn't from me. I've been hurt by it and so scared and would pray nonstop, think about God always, think about my salvation. I would feel so so worried and overwhelmed and whenever I would pray to God I would feel peace.... But then thoughts would start to come again. For anyone who is struggling, never give up! This is a battle! And remember, God already won this battle and the devil cannot do anything about it. God loves you and will never let you down! In Jesus name, Amen! 🙏
I understand that! I overthink too, and worry and fear. I don't know if Satan can put thoughts in our head, but somehow he must influence or lead us into thoughts. I would try to analyze, figure out these thoughts; but that means obsessing over them. I have read how we should ignore unwanted thoughts instead of focusing on them. Divert your thoughts to something else, like what it says in Phillipians 4:8. I know it's not easy!

If our salvation was up to us, we would definitely lose it. Praise God that salvation is up to God. Once Jesus starts a good work in us, and we believe and trust in Him, He will finish that good work in us. Growing and changing in Christ is a lifelong journey. God taught us that once we are His, no one will be able to snatch us out of His Hand.

I relate to this my friend has a friend who's not Christian and I'm with my friend a lot and her friend is with her a lot when I am and my friend is Christian so I'm always talking about God and her friend ALWAYS says "No way you believe in that lie" every single time I feel like punching her friend and say "how the heck do you live like this" but I know she will say "You believe in that nonsense so much that you really don't swear!?" It makes me mad she disrespect my religion
It's God that saves. We are just planting seeds. So just keep on planting those seeds, because it may be something you said or did that will eventually draw them to God.
Jesus warned us of this, shake the dust off your feet and move on. Also pray for your enemies, chances are down the road they will have a great chance to see it and remember what you told them. :)
I backslid many years ago , and I've never felt right about it. I have tried to return to the Lord many times , and I seem to always fail.. But I don't give up , I keep praying , I keep asking for mercy and forgiveness , I even beg the Lord to please help me.. Sometimes I feel like he's finished with me and turned away from me.. And I wouldn't blame him if he did , because I don't deserve his attention. I don't deserve his mercy or his love.. And I sure don't deserve his forgiveness.. I can't fight these Demons by myself, I'm too weak.. The addictions are too strong and the world has its grip on me.. Please pray for me , I could use them..❤️ And I'll keep on doing my best to fight these demons and I'll keep praying with everything in my heart.. Blessings to you all.🙏🕊️
@C.Brown5150, I like the humble position you have taken here, acknowledging that you can't make it on your own and need Jesus to help you. That is all Jesus wants us to do, to acknowledge our own shortcomings and allow him to be our strength and for us to put our faith and trust in him so that we may be saved. james 4:6 talks about how God resist the proud and gives grace to the humble and in 1 peter 5:6 God states we should humble ourselves before the mighty hand of God and he will exalt us in due time. At first when we abide in God, it might not seem as if anything is changing in our lives, but I can assure you that God is doing a good work in us and as long as we trust in God, we shall see his spirirt produce its fruits in us. I wanna leave you with just one more verse, Philippians 1:6 " being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." God will always finsih what he has started in us, we just need to believe. I pray that God will continue to bless you and reveal himself to you, givign you faith to keep on fighting the good fight, strengthen you, and keep your faith steady in him in Jesus name, Amen.

Wrong!! You CAN lose your salvation. God told us the path we should go. He sends no one to hell. What we do determine our path, heaven or hell. Jesus send letters to the church in the book of Revelation. Some He said were doing some things well BUT He said, correct these things or I will come and judge you. Do not be deceived, God doesnt take it, man gives it up by the path one chooses. Many will be lost who choose to believe otherwise.
@@kayegordon861 No, not if you are truly saved. Salvation means being born again, being a new creation, sealed with the Holy Spirit. Read the parable of the sowing of seeds. Seeds go everywhere, but only some truly take root and grow. These letters were to churches. Churches are full of people saved, unsaved. It is not what WE DO that determines our salvation. It is what GOD has done.

Although we are not saved by works, but by faith in Christ's work on the cross, we can still freely walk away from that. Scripture tells us this in Hebrews 6:4-8. So, we don't lose our salvation by making mistakes, but we can choose to walk away. God will never control our choice, whether it's coming or going.

I struggle with lust and sexual sin but this video gave me hope and helped me remember that I shouldn’t be hard on myself. I’ve seen God get me off of drugs like opiates that possessed my life for 10 years so I know that he can remove lust from me too.
Praise God for what He has already done setting you free from drugs! I believe you are saved, and I believe God will set you free from lust. I battle with that, too, but I can at least say I have no desire to look at p0rn anymore.

Amen! I was praying about this before bed tonight, and God kept startling me awake! Anxiety in my chest! My roommates being loud, everytime I tried to fall asleep a loud knock would startle me awake or my phone would buzz really loud. I woke up and couldn't go to sleep and asked God what he wanted because I'm very tired tonight(long day at work) I see THIS video!!! And as soon as the brother starts speaking the words of the LORD my anxiety in my chest vanishes. Everything he said applys to me and i feel like GOD wasn't going to let me sleep until I saw this. A couple of years ago after Sinning I got Babtised again.🙄 I worry about my eternal life. My potty mouth that I cannot change overnight and a couple of other things. Nothing major. I need somebody to talk to, I've been sinning I wouldn't say it is willfully but I'm not feeling conviction when I sin. It scares me that I'm not feeling conviction making me think I'm not saved and I've been feeling condemned telling myself am I worth being saved after falling into the same sin over and over again. I want to stop but idk what I'm doing wrong, I've said the sinner prayer multiple times. Sometimes I does feel like God is fedop with me and I'm done for. The way to stop sinning is to trust in the Lord you may not be feeling conviction as you may not be strong in faith with the Lord and how you strengthen your faith is to spend time with him true Christianity is not “religion” it’s an act of faith so spend time with God and be in fellowship with him we will always fall but a righteous man gets back up and continues the path with God
But you are feeling conviction or you wouldn’t be saying what you’re saying! What you have to do is pray more for the Lord to remove your temptation to continue with your sinning. But you’ve got to believe that He can! One passage that stands out to me, is when the Lord said, “For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” Remembering each day to ask the Lord, let me do His Will today. Pray brother without ceasing and the Lord will direct your path. 🙏🏾 it’s not always easy, but it’s so worth it. Be blessed

You’re gonna be okayy :) Before anything I would suggest to repent before the Lord and be sorrowful of your sins! *The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. Psalm 51:17* He loves us so much; as the vid recited, we have a loving God who *bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endured all things (1 Corinthians 13:7)* So be sad for your sins and make actions for change. *For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death. 2 Corinthians 7:10* Read *James 4* too and understand truly that you must repent and try your absolute best to turn away but also know that in our repentance, the Lord loves us so much to give us grace when we weep before Him in sincerity. When the hour of temptation is upon you I’d heavily suggest that you don’t just rely on your own feelings in such things but instead rely on the Lord’s word. *No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 ESV* Prayyy before the Lord when you feel like sin is around the corner! Above everything I get those feelings of being like so ashamed and sad for my sins, but you must not fall away from the Lord in this time. Instead dwell on the fact that He is for you; *And have you forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons? “My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, nor be weary when reproved by him. For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives.” Hebrews 12:5-6 ESV* The remorse you’re feeling is good. Do not let it take you away from the Lord instead use it to spend more time with Him and read ur Bible and be in His word. Go to the Lord with a repentful heart that longs for change and remember He desires to give us mercy. *Matthew 12:7* Jesus loves you and He knows your heart and who you are so draw to Him and let Him restore you. When you get doubt or tempted use that energy for god by wanting to read more of the Bible, study the history of Christianity, and prayers. Very important. Ask god for guidance, ask the Holy Spirit to guide you. So that you can get closer to god! The best way to know your salvation is to be as close to god and his word as possible!

You're not alone. I share the same "thorn in the flesh" as you. I'm also on the ASD spectrum. God loves us too. Speaking of myself, I was saved at the age of 14, which was a miracle as my abusive, disciplinarian stepdad who tried unsuccessfully to punish my odd behavior and lack of social graces out of me and an overprotective mother who knew I had "enough problems without getting religion" wouldn't have allowed my newly uncle any un-micromanaged access to me to give me the Gospel if they hadn't been distracted and had to take care of something urgent happening outside the house. Anyhow, my parents returned, my uncle immediately left and I went into one of my selective muteness episodes as far as what happened when they were gone.
I had it tough always being on an uneven playing field. To shorten my story, my alcoholic biological father was too drunk to care and my stepfather cared enough to beat me to rebellion. Being that he wasn't my only source of abuse as that coming from other kids made it neccessary for me to lift weights and take judo and karate lessons to fight them off when my peers jumped me, like them my stepfather also feared my growing formidability and increasing mental instability as I was storing up his and their abuse like a capacitor and he stopped beating me (although being a control/power freak, he kept up the mental abuse in desperate attempts to keep an upper hand on me). After I turned 18, he threw me out because of his fear of me.
Being that my folks weren't church goers, I was socially isolated in a very hostile environment where I never got the fellowship, guidance, mentoring and discipling that most Christians take for granted. I read my Bible from cover to cover countless times being gifted in reading. I prayed constantly, often for Him to heal me of whatever was wrong with me. The problems and situations remained. I tried my darnedest to live a Christian life while desperately trying to maintain control of a wild, enraged and battle scarred and crazed mind teetering on the edge of psychosis. I tried to stop sinning, but still found myself sinning. I still was getting into fights at school and having meltdowns where I'd either go stone silent, but also violent or into potty mouth laden fits of rage, word vomit and flying fists.
Just as it is possible to overeat and get obese on a diet lacking in Vitamin C and die while still gaining weight--from scurvy, if a Christian doesn't get a balanced spiritual diet of church attendence, fellowship, prayer, Bible reading and study and other neccesary spiritual food, he/she can become very weak and even backslide in their spiritual walk.
Having stumbled upon and misinterpreted certain verses in Hebrews 6 & 10, one of Peter's epistles as well as 1st John 5 mentioning sins unto death and other such verses that might be taken to mean that one can irreversibly lose their salvation, I became a hardcore 5 point Arminianist (where I thought that I could lose and was losing my salvation). The perfect behavior and performance that my stepfather and other abusers unrealistically demanded of me didn't help either. Both 5 point Arminianism and its opposite, 5 point Calvinism are both wrong extremes to find oneself and can adversely affect how one is able to live a Christian life.
Anyhow, after I turned 18, I started going to an independent Baptist church where for a short time, my spiritually malnourished soul could feast on the fellowship and some much needed mentoring that I had been denied in my walk. However, my condition invoked a lot of "friendly fire" from the others by making me socially inept (I was a social bull in a china shop), making me transmit and receive verbal and nonverbal communications wrongly (I came across wrongly and likewise, Imisinterpreted them). This on top of periods of selective muteness, anxiety attackscrippled my ability to witness and that also drew friendly fire for me when I joined their street and door to door evangelism ministry. My other social faux pas and gaffes didn't help matters either Relations grew cold and eventually I was abandoned to the wolves.
Thinking that I had completely lost my salvation and only had Hell to look forward to, I was in spiritual freefall. Having lost all hope, I quickly backslid into my old fighting, cussing and violent ways and went further this time into drinking and drug addiction. At least on two occasions, I nearly went too far in separate fistfights. To this day, I still don't see how I avoided winding up dead, in prison or in a mental institution for life, let alone being delivered from my addictions and demon oppression, marrying twice and being widowed twice and am now in retirement. God's grace is the only logical answer I can come up with and I'm not sure He was being logical because I definitely don't deserve it. Like the lyrics to the song in either Jesus Christ Superstar or Godspell, " I don't know how to love Him" that say, "I have changed, I really changed! Nowadays when I see myself, I seem like someone else." I can say the same thing. I'm shockingly different than I was in my youth though from day to day, I saw little or no change from the day before (-: I'm now in my mid-60's & still kicking, though not in the karate sense anymore :-).
That's the danger of doubting one's salvation as we can't take anything from Jesus' work on that cross and we can't add anything to it. He did all of the saving I needed for my whole life, not just up to my accepting Him as a teenager. I have a score card for Jesus' contributing work toward my salvation versus mine as follows: Jesus--everything, Ed---nada, zippo, zilch or in other words, I contributed nothing to my salvation. Jesus did all of the work. He gets all of the glory for saving me.
In my room at 14, He came into my heart and took my whole lifetime of sins in this mortal body, past, present and future and took them with Him back in time, 2,000 or so years ago and carrying them via the Cross into the grave with Him where He deposited them. Paul said that he was crucified with Christ, which gives me an understanding of salvation from a new angle.
I (my mortal body) in effect, died with Him on that cross and was buried, sins and all around 1,990 yrs ago if you do the math from 33 AD. It's just taking my mortal body time to get the message, which in the near future it will either at my death or at the rapture. Pues, puedemos decir "Adios por siempre a todos los pecados de Hermano Eduardo". In other words, "Thus, we can say goodbye forever to all of Brother Ed's sins". Jesus did it all! Just as He raised up in His glorified body, He'll likewise raise me up at the last day in my own glorified body. Praise Him for His grace and mercy! I definitely so don't deserve it!
So much for my testimonial and my poor attempt at Spanish (I've been trying to learn Spanish for half a century since high school and English for the past 65 years). Those are just some of my works in progress and have a long way to go with those lessons. Likewise, God bought a "condemned handyman's special" (me) with His Blood and did a lot of repairs and fixing up, but still has a long way to go. Anyhow, it's late. Keep up the fight! We're in the home stretch! Victory (in Jesus) is in sight!

Things like cancer, heart disease, asthma, epilepsy, blindness, etc. are real battles that real Christians are facing, but are not sins that some "name it, claim it, blab it & grab it" prosperity gospel charlatins will try to preach. "Not enough faith", "living in sin", of the "Devil or possessed by demons" and other lies from Hell are part of Satan's arsenal of lies that he gets often well meaning Christians to believe so that they can destroy the faith of the afflicted in the name of (and meaning to) helping them to repent of these so called sins so that they're "healed."
I saw a video rebutting such practices these preachers engage in. One scene was a well known televangelist trying to exorcise a "demon of autism" out of a 10 year old boy. If I were a betting man, I'd probably be willing to bet my mortgage that the boy is still autistic because autism is not a demon or a sin for that matter.
It is a neurological condition that people are born with. That scene made me outright sick to my stomach, not to mention triggering my PTSD resulting from the beatings, rejection, punishments and ridicule I endured as a kid (and a working adult) as a result of my own high functioning autism that I wasn't diagnosed with until my late 50's, which prompted me once fired because of my disabiltiy (they lied to cover up an assault by one of the owners who couldn't stand me and to make my firing, "just") to go into early disability retirement once diagnosed. I had a terminally ill wife to take care of at the time who needed and deserved my care more than my getting abused for a paycheck and then fired.
I suffered also the friendly fire from a well meaning church that was deceived by the lie that I didn't have enough faith, was backslidden into sin and was oppressed by demons because of my odd behavior and my battles with anxiety and depression as spin off conditions from my autism & past abuse. I'll own those things that are sins such as my real backsliding, but their constant reminders of lack of faith, living in sin, of the devil and consequential rejection. that in turn eventually destroyed my faith, isolated me and surely didn't help matters when afterwards, I backslid. I had no support when I most needed it, but I refuse to blame my backsliding on that. I forgive them because they just didn't understand.
I just wanted Michael, others out there and you all to know that there are others of us facing battles as a verse in, I think in Ephesians after the ones on puttting on the armor of God, puts it. God gives grace where needed for our sins, the trials, and for instance gave the superhuman ability to my two late wives to put up with and live with me and my issues while here on this Earth.

People say that if you fall into sin after repentance, or having doubts then you aren't a Christian. When in reality, the closer you are to God, the harder Satan knocks on your door, demanding you to sin. Some preach that Repenting means to " forsake sin or turn from sin or confess sins to receive Salvation" or " call upon the Name of The Lord to be saved" 0r " invite him in your heart to be saved" or etc everything of what that person a sinner can do but not focusing on what Jesus Christ did for us all on the cross and simply believing on that .
To call upon "The Name of The Lord " one must believe first

This is only half true. Yes, you cannot save yourself and yes, you do have to accept Salvation as a free gift. But it is also true that the doctrine of "once saved, always saved" is a lie of Satan. Your salvation CAN be lost, just like it was lost for king Saul. Saul was hand picked and anointed by God, full of the Holy Spirit. And he's also not going to be saved. Why? Because he chose to walk away and live life his own way instead of conforming to God's plan. Salvation is a free gift, but it is also contingent upon our willingness to conform our lives to God's will. Being baptized is not enough. Going to church once a week is not enough. You cannot live like the devil and still go to heaven. There will be many who come to Jesus saying "Lord, Lord" and he will say to them "Begone from me, I do not know you." In another place Christ says "Why do you call me Lord, and yet not do what I say?" Obedience still matters. We should not continue in sin that grace may abound. We are allowed to make mistakes. We are fallen beings, even after accepting Christ we will not immediately be made perfect, because sanctification is a process. But we must align our will with God's if we are to be saved, and saying that salvation can "never be revoked", is a dangerous teaching, because it tells people that if they accept Jesus once during an altar call that they can go out and sin as much as they want with no consequence, which is not true and will cause them to be lost. I don't know if that is what you meant to suggest or not, but I'm just cautioning against using that rhetoric in the future, as it is likely to cause many otherwise faithful Christians to stumble.

I HATE my sin. It's a lust sin. I know im responsible for my choices, but I really am ashamed after i carry out the sin
I struggle with the same thing. Over time He has made it less pleasurable and easier to avoid it. Keep praying asking for strength and change of mind. He will change you.
Everyone struggles with it, it will go away eventually but we must work every day to stop that sin

Over time if we regularly take all thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ, God will diminish the desire to the point where being right with God is more important to you than the temporal pleasure of the sin. You can die to this and live on to Christ.

I really needed to hear this today. I’m 50 years old and once believed when I was 24 but fell away because of an abusive pastor. Then I turned into an atheist when I was about 35 and just recently came back to Jesus a few months ago. I believe now and I was feeling really good for a couple of weeks. Then all of the sudden about a week ago I’ve wanted to give up because I don’t think I can be good enough. I haven’t given up. I still read the bible and pray every day. I just feel awful that I can’t be perfect and I give up hope. So this video was what I needed today. Now I have hope. But watching videos or reading things in the bible or elsewhere and how some people say if you believed in God you wouldn’t do this or that. So it makes you feel like you have to be perfect or obviously you don’t believe. But then you think if someone could be perfect Jesus isn’t necessary at all. It just all seems contradictory and it’s hard to understand. Sorry for rambling. But please pray for me I think I need the help.

Trust me, I struggle with the same thing. I know which sin I struggle with most, which brings me down, but I have to keep reminding myself that I am imperfect. I hate the fact that this sin constantly tries to make me feel guilty and follows me wherever I go. I just have to ask God. I do not, or try not to, say anything out loud so as not to let the enemy hear me. I tell God, ‘Here comes another attack.’ The battle for the mind is great, but each time I say this only to God, I have been gaining ground over this sin little by little. This is one reason I chose not to reveal my sin. It’s not that I don’t want any of my fellow believers in Jesus Christ to know, but for this reason here: Satan can’t hear my thoughts to my Savior. It’s all I have, and God’s strength. But after also listening to this man’s videos, it helps me. So every time I feel I’m sinking into the sin, God says, ‘You haven’t committed the sin until you have submitted or given in to the sin.’ This is all I need, but I still struggle. However, I remain in the fight against the enemy because he will always try to tempt us. Another thing that keeps me in the fight is knowing that at least I have accepted Jesus as my Savior and I know he died for me because I have walked in faith alone. It can get scary walking that walk of faith, but the reward gives me the continued power. So in the event of my death, I tell God, ‘I don’t want to go to hell.’ I’m not like one of the millions that have never desired to know God, and what will happen at the end of life scares me for them. Many refuse God, and I tell them he gives you choices. I thank God this video came up. This spoke to me on so many levels. I am an overthinker. I have been struggling with all kinds of twisted thoughts to the point I feared which was or wasn't from me. I've been hurt by it and so scared and would pray nonstop, think about God always, think about my salvation. I would feel so so worried and overwhelmed and whenever I would pray to God I would feel peace.... But then thoughts would start to come again. For anyone who is struggling, never give up! This is a battle! And remember, God already won this battle and the devil cannot do anything about it. God loves you and will never let you down! In Jesus name, Amen! 🙏
I understand that! I overthink too, and worry and fear. I don't know if Satan can put thoughts in our head, but somehow he must influence or lead us into thoughts. I would try to analyze, figure out these thoughts; but that means obsessing over them. I have read how we should ignore unwanted thoughts instead of focusing on them. Divert your thoughts to something else, like what it says in Phillipians 4:8.

To call upon "The Name of The Lord " one must believe first

Makes me sad each time i talk about God to people and they reject him,
it's even harder when it is close familly and friends.
I relate to this my friend has a friend who's not Christian and I'm with my friend a lot and her friend is with her a lot when I am and my friend is Christian so I'm always talking about God and her friend ALWAYS says "No way you believe in that lie" every single time I feel like punching her friend and say "how the heck do you live like this" but I know she will say "You believe in that nonsense so much that you really don't swear!?" That is all Jesus wants us to do, to acknowledge our own shortcomings and allow him to be our strength and for us to put our faith and trust in him so that we may be saved. james 4:6 talks about how God resist the proud and gives grace to the humble and in 1 peter 5:6 God states we should humble ourselves before the mighty hand of God and he will exalt us in due time. At first when we abide in God, it might not seem as if anything is changing in our lives, but I can assure you that God is doing a good work in us and as long as we trust in God, we shall see his spirirt produce its fruits in us. I wanna leave you with just one more verse, Philippians 1:6 " being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." God will always finsih what he has started in us, we just need to believe.
I pray that God will continue to bless you and reveal himself to you, givign you faith to keep on fighting the good fight, strengthen you, and keep your faith steady in him in Jesus name, Amen.

Amen! I was praying about this before bed tonight, and God kept startling me awake! Anxiety in my chest! My roommates being loud, everytime I tried to fall asleep a loud knock would startle me awake or my phone would buzz really loud. I woke up and couldn't go to sleep and asked God what he wanted because I'm very tired tonight(long day at work) I see THIS video!!! I see a lot of Preaching and evangelism that is very dangerous and has very dangerous doctrines that are false gospels that's given to people daily . False gospels are Damnable heresies that leads the lost to destruction to hell forever.
Some preach that Repenting means to " forsake sin or turn from sin or confess sins to receive Salvation" or " call upon the Name of The Lord to be saved" 0r " invite him in your heart to be saved" or etc everything of what that person a sinner can do but not focusing on what Jesus Christ did for us all on the cross and simply believing on that .
To call upon "The Name of The Lord " one must believe first
be saved first before we can call on GOD .
Again "turning from sin" and" being good "and "obeying the law the ten commandments" etc.............
that is not what that means to Repent for Salvation
John 3:16 says For GOD so Love the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son that whosoever BELIEVETH in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. Life forever Life with no end .
Repent for Salvation

I hate the downward slide, it seems I have to go low JUST to realise I've gone low and to need to crawl back JUST ONE MORE TIME. To quote the hymn "come thou fount"...

I need somebody to talk to, I've been sinning I wouldn't say it is willfully but I'm not feeling conviction when I sin. It scares me that I'm not feeling conviction making me think I'm not saved and I've been feeling condemned telling myself am I worth being saved after falling into the same sin over and over again. I want to stop but idk what I'm doing wrong, I've said the sinner prayer multiple times. Sometimes I does feel like God is fedop with me and I'm done for. I have a desire in my heart to serve the lord, knowing that someone loves me with an unconditional love

The way to stop sinning is to trust in the Lord you may not be feeling conviction as you may not be strong in faith with the Lord and how you strengthen your faith is to spend time with him true Christianity is not “religion” it’s an act of faith so spend time with God and be in fellowship with him we will always fall but a righteous man gets back up and continues the path with God
But you are feeling conviction or you wouldn’t be saying what you’re saying! What you have to do is pray more for the Lord to remove your temptation to continue with your sinning. But you’ve got to believe that He can! One passage that stands out to me, is when the Lord said, “For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” Remembering each day to ask the Lord, let me do His Will today. Pray brother without ceasing and the Lord will direct your path. 🙏🏾 it’s not always easy, but it’s so worth it. Be blessed

You’re gonna be okayy :) Before anything I would suggest to repent before the Lord and be sorrowful of your sins! *The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. Psalm 51:17* He loves us so much; as the vid recited, we have a loving God who *bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endured all things (1 Corinthians 13:7)* So be sad for your sins and make actions for change. *For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death. 2 Corinthians 7:10*
Read *James 4* too and understand truly that you must repent and try your absolute best to turn away but also know that in our repentance, the Lord loves us so much to give us grace when we weep before Him in sincerity.
When the hour of temptation is upon you I’d heavily suggest that you don’t just rely on your own feelings in such things but instead rely on the Lord’s word. *No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 ESV*

Above everything I get those feelings of being like so ashamed and sad for my sins, but you must not fall away from the Lord in this time. Instead dwell on the fact that He is for you; *And have you forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons? “My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, nor be weary when reproved by him. For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives.” Hebrews 12:5-6 ESV* The remorse you’re feeling is good. Do not let it take you away from the Lord instead use it to spend more time with Him and read ur Bible and be in His word. Go to the Lord with a repentful heart that longs for change and remember He desires to give us mercy. *Matthew 12:7*
