    great cut, and awesome to see as a less experienced person cutting from home. I'm nervous to do a bald fade, so i end up doing cuts like this often because its easier, but still helps me work on my skills.

      BARBER/STYLIST PSA!!!
      Thank you for this comment, and below you will find something I drafted specifically as it pertained to thinning shears and their use for specific types of clients _ NOT ALL OF THEM.... yes it's long.... but, it's necessary....also, this is RUclips, not a college syllabus...skip it if you don't want to read it and comment if it resonated one bit...
      Agreed, but there are some barbers who get a little bit too trigger happy with them... and I have to say, that's probably one of my biggest pet peeves and based on some bad experiences, a definite moment of cringe worth anxiety as a viewer. Issue is that these barbers, or "stylists" as they have self proclaimed themselves, don't just stop at the fade, which I agree is a great method in achieving that final blend from the clipper work for a disconnected cut; to be fair, as well, some highly trained ones are able to accomplish the same thing with regular shears or clipper over comb... regardless, I'm with you....but there are a TON of barbers I have seen who could absolutely perform a hack job on a client with his exact hair profile - something straight and basic, with a bit of a thinner texture and mild areas of recession/thinning, which has always been stigmatized, but something I think all men should at least be comfortable speaking with their barber about - no one is expecting them to embrace the Bic bald or start researching flights to Turkey....IYKYK.... anyways,, the clueless reasoning around doing that is, or so they idiotically claim, is to reduce bulk and create texture...well, maybe for someone with extremely thick hair, or someone going for a longer, more complex cut - for the record, I am not a barber or stylist, but I have eyes and love my hair, especially as I get older, you hold onto it with dear life...they go further to claim that it allows them to style easier, and some go as far as to touch the crown...I will leave that topic as I will turn this short story into a full out novel...followers of Beardbrand Alliance should know exactly what I'm talking about.... either way, all it does is effectively shred the client's top hair around the crown and frontal lobe, the two most notorious areas that male patterned baldness tend to attack, essentially destroy all the fresh ends that the OG shears created when ridding of the dead ones, and, the moment of horror, expose their scalp and make them feel like they have lost half of the thickness and fullness they may have had up top.... they truly notice this after taking a shower and drying off their hair, especially under one of those unflattering LED light set ups that you would expect in either a grade-school auditorium or on the surgery bed at the hospital, and realize their entire (Snow White) scalp its fully exposed, and they spend the next hour crying and googling items such as how fast men's hair grows, products to improve thickness/texture (probably end up ordering some of those fibers, along with the Rogaine for free shipping),, book a virtual doctor sesh for Propecia and last, but DEFINITELY, not least, looking up new local barbers....IYKYK (again)....
      #DrusViewz
      TLDR: Nothing about this topic should be condensed further than the spiel above, as it would either remove context orr remove other key areas all imperative for making the point intended....especially if you're aa barber or stylist who specializes in men's hair...
      I am hopefully saving men's hair coverage, one haircut at a time, and I don't even get paid for this...I'm a friggin' marketer, but also a thought contributor....so follow me @drustill on every platform or at the hash above (might as well plug myself following this dissertation..
      Happy cutting!

    Bro I got a question, I’m a learning barber trying to learn
    How come on the back you go with the 1 guard closed
    But on the taper you do a 1 guard open first ?

    I thought a shadow fade was a .5 fade and if you want you could taper the sides or leave it natural

  • @user-fh8sn9sy7q
    @user-fh8sn9sy7q Месяц назад

    So that comb is equivalent to the 1 guard plus you opening the 1/2 no guard on your clippers would just make it 1 1/2 .. but you did a 2 open and to take of that line wouldn't it be a 2 close? But you used a 1 1/2 🤔
