    Did u have a chance to see the monkeys at the Lady Buddha Statue place? I heard there are Monkeys and u have to be careful them because they are aggressive and snatch your belongings.
    anyway, I'm Korean but the Coconut farm boat tour isn't my flavor even though there were many Korean tourist. Also I had similar experience with a boat tour in Floating market Thailand, so I wouldn't take the boat tour.
    I've never been there but I could imagine that there are many Korean tourist in Vietnam now, so many SCAMERs try to cheat Korean.

      Haha, no, we didn’t see the monkeys; I had no idea there were any monkeys! 🙉
      Interesting to know your take on this as a Korean person.
      Well, from my observation, the majority of Korean tourists loved it here, so I guess this is exactly what they expected. 😀 You should visit Danang and give your honest review as a Korean tourist🙌

    To see an old village where people are living in? It's impossible when you analyze the picture: such old villages would lack a lot of inconveniences such as drinking water and toilets, and with the weather over the years, it would be unsafe for people to live there. There is a tourist place in Kyoto where old-styled houses are maintained but you can see a lot of renovations done to this place. These past living homes are converted into shops, and restaurants to provide conveniences for tourists. Furthermore, the landscaping is designed to make the surroundings more picturesque.
    Spain, Italy, Turkey, France, and other countries in Europe have a lot of ancient historical sites but these are just temples, buildings, bridges, aqueducts, etc. But these ancient ruins are kept in the modern settings of the villages, towns, and cities.
    Old villages without renovations would be in a dilapidated state and unsafe. Cultures of any country reflect the present life in which you can see the past. You have to see with an anthropologist's eyes searching through broad and minute details.
    Vietnam through thousands of years suffered from war, so grand palaces, temples, and other elaborate architecture cannot be found here. Thailand, by contrast, enjoyed so many years of peace and was able to build so many elaborate temples with their own style based on their own lifestyle and culture. However, there is still some Indian influence of the past.
    Disneyland and Disneyworld in the USA also imitate many things in the past, real and imaginative. Did I enjoy them? Yes, I did because of the science marvels that are blended in with what you see there. You should note that a ticket for Disneyland is around 150 US dollars, in comparison to around 40$ to enter Ba Na Hills.
    Do you feel you get scammed? Not quite because the woman who told you about old villages had the meaning of old villages different from the old villages you imagined or expected to see.
    Korean tourists love Vietnam because what they see is quite different from what they have in modern Korea. They love Vietnam also because of the savory food and scenery such as the beautiful juxtapositions of mountains and seas, and the tropical weather in Vietnam. S. Korea is also a beautiful country, but what they can relax in Vietnam is much cheaper than doing that in S. Korea.
    Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. To some of us, Europe is preferable to Asia, but to some of us, Asia is much more exciting.

    How exactly did you get scammed? You paid an extremely small amount for a boat tour. You got on a boat and went for a tour. Just because it didn't go where you wanted doesn't make it a scam. Don't be upset because you didn't do your due diligence.

      She paid over $10, (not a small amount) and was lied to where the boat tour would go. She didn’t seem upset to me and was merely making sure that people who watch this do their due diligence like you said and book online. Clearly a helpful and informative video for tourists on what to expect at tourist attractions

      This gets really funny because the lady who sold it to us showed us the list of destinations it covered. We translated it into Vietnamese and confirmed that we would see the old village; she said yes. Obviously, she didn't care what she was selling; she just wanted to sell us this package. This is why it’s a scam: when we questioned these people about why there was nothing like what was advertised, they just laughed at us. And yeah, we wouldn’t have minded paying more for a real coconut basket tour along the villages; it just wasn't an option. 😂

    I've lived in Da Nang since 2005. The My Khe Beach and other areas have been remanufactured for the tourist trade. All the palm trees in Da Nang are not the natural flora and fauna of the area. All the hotels are recent construction. Neighborhoods of real native families were relocated for tourism. I watched it happen and it's a shame. Enjoy your stay. It's made for you.

    • @businessmalie
      @businessmalie  5 месяцев назад +4

      Wow, thanks for sharing these really useful insights! 😇 I knew that hotels were built in recent years, but I had no idea that the flora and fauna are not native there and that many families had to sacrifice their homes. Anyway, it still looks awesome and pedestrian-friendly. I hope it will help Vietnam improve its economy.

    • @fairview6120

      The natural flora and fauna of any area on earth are not found in small villages, towns, or cities. Wherever there are dwellers, there are renovations suitable for the modern life. However, you still can find the natural and untouched scenery in the surroundings of those areas. Does it make sense?

    • @fairview6120
      @fairview6120 4 месяца назад +1

      @@businessmalie I have to add that the flora and fauna are native to any area of Vietnam. Why? people choose the best trees and plants suitable to thrive and least maintained. But these things are now landscaped in different settings of modern life, not salvaged and left to nature as we always expect to see. We can only see the natural flora and fauna in areas where there are. no human beings live.

    • @rb368370
      @rb368370 4 месяца назад +1

      The natural flora and fauna are in the photos I took in 1970. The beach was bordered by pine trees. The surviving trees are still on the north end of the beach near Nui Son Tra. The coconut palms were planted by the city. New trees have been planted near the sea walls in front of 4 Points Hotel.

      There are places in the US marked as historic sites where battles in the Revolution period took place. What did I see there? Nothing, but it did not disappoint me. Trees and the ground in the present are not exactly those in 200+ years ago but if you let your imagination soar, you can recreate the battles in your own mind. The experiences of the two Vloggers are not scammed, because what they saw is not what they expected. The prices they paid are indicated, it was not different from what they paid. you cannot say it's a scam. They felt what they paid was not worth what they expected to see.
