The first time I saw this video was in September 2017 and it inspired me to finally following my heart and learn to bellydance. Nowadays I'm an Essence-of-Bellydance teacher and watching this video again makes me just feel happy and brings tears to my eyes 🙏🏼❤️ This is pure magic!

It started as belly dance, then it went onto veil/fan dancing. It was a beautiful transition from one style of dance to another.

It is a piece from the Fitch symphonic metal band Epica, on thé Quantum Enigma album, which is way posterior to Shrek...

Oooooo. This is the first time I've ever heard erhu in connection with baladi of any kind. Love it!!! 😃 This dance is exquisite. Jasirah has just shot up to my most favorite list with Jamila, Petite Jamil (PJ - The Rose), and Jolene Andrade. Jasirah is brilliant as in sparkling bright.

This is true dancing! Tribal, fluid and artistic. Not like the modern dancing of twerking. I love this and would love to learn it.
Fun Fact: "Twerking" is just a Modern term for that style. The style of THAT dance, actually originated from African Tribes, and their cultural tribal dances of celebration, happiness, and shows of appreciation. 😉
