This comes as Sir Tony Blair says Britain’s standing in the world has diminished over the last decade and Sir Keir Starmer has come to power at a time of “anxiety” for the nation.
The ex-PM’s warning comes after Sir Keir claimed “things will get worse before they get better” in a speech ahead of what he said would be a “painful” Budget statement on October 30.

I am a disabled OAP who is not entitled to Pension Credit, l, today have sat down and worked out my credits and debits, and after paying all my bills l am left with £173.28 to buy my food for the month. So perhaps Shilly Shally Starmer could tell me how l can survive this winter. This is his way of killing off all vulnerable OAP's, like myself, by the spring there will be many who have passed away, and the blood of these will be on his hands, but will he care, while all his homes receive heating allowance and also receiving an over inflated salary.

Pay-in to the system your whole working life, and Starmer steals from you to give more to immensely well paid train drivers. Awful, awful PM.
Earning £70,000 a year after 14 weeks of training which is free! Compared to a junior doctor who gets £60,000 after 5 years of training, studying at night and working full time during the day which they have paid tens of thousands for and then have to repay, pus another £10,000 plus a year just to be allowed to register to practise and pay their imdemnity insurance! Whilst still studying another 5 years to be a GP or a Consuitant and working at the same time! Train drivers also get double pay working weekends and public holidays, free travel and days off in lieu. Not for those in NHS, No overtime or extra pay for working weekends or public holidays etc. Even then they have to continue studying and updating skills and knowledge of medicines every year.
He spends way more on illegal migrants than train drivers. That's the real issue. He wants to open the boarders for a free for all that's why all if us will suffer in some way

I am a new pensioner and my pension is 882.00 pounds a month. I don't understand where they get the 1300.00 pounds from. Losing the winter fuel allowance is going to hurt. I was left wuith two babies annd debt and when I went out to when they were 5and 6there was never enough money left to have a good private pension.
