I live in S Florida and have a 1971 built concrete house - block walls and 6" slab decks and slab roof with elastomeric white roof coating. Zero Insulation. I have solar panels on stanchions and they are trapping heat between the panel and the roof, and the heat is passing through the roof. I've thought about laying tpo under the solar panels, but the time to cut/fit around all the stanchions, wiring, etc. is daunting. I'm wondering if a layer of spray foam insulation, topped with elastomeric roof paint might offer a solution. Any insight, experience, comments, welcomed.
There is a company in Holland called Prokol with a UK arm (Eco Prokol) who do this and give a 30 year guarantee. They use a UV stable topcoat that the sun doesn't affect. I'm using it to cover a 4500m2 water tank for the Water Industry and they demand SERIOUS quality control. Only the Dutch company managed to satisfy them. Having got it approved they are now ordering it for another three tanks (all over 1500m2 each) and are looking at it for a major new reservoir.
how well does this "spray foam" roofing work? I am considering using this on a future geodesic dome build.(wanting to stay away from traditional roofing methods) my concern is cracking as the dome panels shift slightly over time. there is over 700ft of "joint" to potentially move. what kind of underlayment should be used if any? most of the dome will be mostly vertical (like an angled wall) and what about flashing the joints?
Most of these coatings ate 100% solids, no VOC's , the big machine in the trailer is a PLURAL COMPONENT pump, it heats the materials up to thin them out in order to spray them instead of adding thinner like acetates or any other solvent, so not a big deal to not wear a respiration in a well ventilated area such as a roof!
Daphne search spray foam dome finishing solutions. Hopefully that will answer your questions. We sprayed foam on that roof and coated it with tan acrylic.
polyurea is very good for overcome the leak . we applicator polyurea and polyurethane foam in indonesia. If you have a project in indonesia and you need applicator, we can help you. I am sorry ,if my word not very well. thank you
how much does it cost per sq foot for first time you get the roof done? Then how much does it cost per sq foot for the recoating for uv protection that they say you should get done every 10 to 15 years? Thank you for the info and video
Hey Wayne, when you transition from foam , to urea is there a flushing procedure or do you switch tanks and just spray till you get the diff product ? Looks great
How’s this roof holding up today? Pretty cool to see guys doing this 11 years ago. Awesome!

Love how you guys spray foamed the roof of the equipment trailer!! Can the Polyurea top coat be tinted to specific colors?
U have to specify color when u order the polyurea I mainly spray black and light grey but have sprayed blue yellow and a few other colors
Does it work on a corrugated iron sheets too? How long does it last? Can this solve the leakages problems with a roof in tropics?
Do you have to separate lines or purge the foam before switching to polyurea

Jason Finstad you should find the website to find out that info, you probably won't get any answer from your post comment.

It looked like you all were using 2 machines 1 foam 1 for urea
Que falla que el ayudante que tiene la manguera , no tiene elementos de protección respiratoria ni anteojos.
Wow, You have a Seriosly Nice Set-Up My Friend.
does this replace roofing materials? im very very new to this. can this replace a flat roof on an apartment building? prevents leaks?
What's the life expectancy and the cost of removal after ?
why not add a color to the final coat of sealer to help see any missed spots?
when the topcoat fails your roof leaks. happens every time, then just try to remove this shit from your building.
everyone should have protection when spraying chemicals
I would have thought the membrane was a liability under the foam.
where can I buy a machine like that?? what's its trademark??
