Those look like some pretty old Spartan fire trucks nice catch!👍
We never had any Spartans .. They are Ferreras, both 1997's (Engine 14 previously served as Engine 7, Engine 7 was replaced in 2016 with a 2016 KME pumper.... Engine 9 previously served as Engine 4, Engine 4 was replaced in 2016 with a 2016 KME pumper.)
Engine 9 (Previously Engine 4), Engine 12 (Previously Engine 8) and Engine 14 (Previously Engine 7) were all purchased together in 1997. The 4th Fererra was purchased in 2002 as Truck 2, currently serves as Reserve Truck 1 (Although it's currently serving as Truck 4 until T4's refurb is finished) Unfortunately we don't have a reserve ladder truck at the time being.
Michael Lavelle that engine 14 started its career and was delivered as engine 9, ran as 9 until engine 9 was permanently closed by the Dougherty administration.
