I uploaded this in September and was supposed to un-private it in October?? Guess I forgot to do that, aha.. :'D
This is an AU inspired by Juan Pablo's short animation, "Rapunzel"!

Basically, Bakugou visits this castle/tower alone (probably to prove a point or something, not that people who go in groups are any safer though), and severely underestimates the nature of the dangerous prince who lives there. Guess he should've heeded his elders' warnings about the tower being a death trap; everybody knows that very few people ever return from it...

My mind went to try to make a backstory right as I saw this and here’s what I came up with: Many people have come to Kirishimas tower. To see his beauty. Or just to see his hair. Kirishima has never been in love. He doesn’t know what it is. Apart from what he’s read in storybooks. When the first person came. Kirishima was hesitant about speaking. So for a little while he didn’t. Eventually the person saw his storybooks. And decided they were going to try to pretend to be in love. They fooled Kirishima because of how little minded he was. One night the person tried to kill Kirishima so they could take his hair. Kirishima felt betrayed and outraged. And without thinking, he wrapped a part of his long hair around the persons neck. Choking them. When he realized what he did he panicked. And hid away the body. More and more people came. Doing the same, or just trying to kill him straight away. Kirishima was getting tired of it. And was getting used to the bodies piling up. One day when he was wrapping a body. A new person came. A boy with spiky blonde hair. Kirishima noticed and decided to fool this person. Just as the people have done to him. And wrapped himself up to make it seem like he was tangled. When they boy noticed he just stared. Kirishima noticed that he wasn’t doing anything and opened one eye. To see the boy doing nothing at all. And that’s all. Pretty stupid but yeah.

Kiribaku rapunzel au is so underrated. If it follows the Disney one, Kirishima would have red hair then when it is cut it would turn black. ^_^ I liked the speedpaint.

Kirishima here reminds me of a Jorōgumo from Japanese folklore. A creature known from shifting appearances from a beautiful maiden and a giant spider. An inspiring concept to be sure.
