That's why they can insulate electric conductors. Semiconductor hv comparatively more e & hence can conduct more current than insulators. Conductors hv maximum no of free e, so can conduct max current. More e, more current conduction i.e more conductance so less resistance. Option a & b is can't be true, bcoz in case of +ve temp co-efficient materials, temp is directly proportional to resistance. Bt in -ve temp co-efficient materials, temp is inversely proportional to resistance.
