Thank you for this useful info. We have a similar set up at the University of Namibia formulating/manufacturing feed for fish. The only difference is we add water in the mixture and we use the pellet maker/machine for making pellets. But your methodology is much simpler and very ideal for rural farmers where there is no electricity. Thanks!!

Hi Gichane. Feed formulation is not that simple as there are critical factors such as protein content of various feed ingredients. Consider attending our training days when we drove deeper into this topic and give an outline of a formulation. Keep watching our channel.

Hi. You ant use kitchen scrap for chicks if you intend them to have optimal growth. In Kenya all these raw materials are readily available and are what are used to manufacture feeds by all companies.

Quite a nice video, but the most important aspect of it is left out which is the FEED FORMULATION or RATIO or PERCENTAGE (%) of each ingredient into a particular feed. I guess that is the business. It can only be shown/talked about when payment is made, which is reason for your advertisements for the training. I do understand.
Feed formulation is not a straight formulae per say. It's a complex act of some calculations. In fact there are a thousand and one formular for a particular category of birds, depending on which one that gives you the best result. Formulation will be based on classes of food, as CARBOHYDRATES, PROTEIN, FAT, FIBER, CALCIUM, PHOSPHORUS etc required for a particular category of birds.
