Wow!! 15,000 - you must have the biggest collection in Australia if not the world. I have a rule for myself that I’m only allowed enough cds to put in the existing furniture in my lounge room - so it will be interesting to see how many I can store. I have 2 wall units and a purpose built 60s style record cupboard. I listen to everything that comes in but if I don’t think I’ll listen again to a cd I take it down to the op shop. My car always has donations in it. I love collecting and luckily I love donating too :)
Thankyou for the comment Anders. I'm currently purging some of my CDs and will make a video highlighting what will exit my CD library and relocating to my CD storage room. I have allocated 2 rooms in my home for CD's and 1 room for books, dvds, blurays and games. Im glad you enjoyed the video. 🙂
@@BeatUpRecordsCDs I look forward to seeing what you donate. Today I picked up 3 cassettes ($1 each)- what now my love (nana mouskouri), the big hits - gene Pitney and Madhouse by Silver Convention. My cassette player isn’t working at the moment I’m on the look out for one.
Hope your insurance covers your collection re: fire/flood Discogs to catalog? With the ridiculous resolution of phone cameras nowadays, for a quick and easy insurance backup- just take clear in focus pics of each shelf unit. The high res allows zooming in to read each CD spine and catalog number in a pinch.
I hope you have a serious system for playback :-) My current rock obsession is BAND-MAID...if you don't have any albums, perhaps try 'World Domination'. Highlights are up-tempo 'Dice' and power-ballad 'Daydreaming' (seriously great...usurped U2's 'With Or Without You' as my favourite slow number...but 'The Joshua Tree' will always be treasured). MVs of those on their YT channel (check their 'Onset' Live instrumental for insane musicianship...these ladies absolutely rock).
Most CDs are played in the car on through headphones on my laptop. I will sample some songs today of Bandmaid. 😊. I will be doing CD discography collection videos of bands or artists I have in my collection.
@@BeatUpRecordsCDs I've got around 300 albums, last count, so it was easy to rip them all to lossless FLAC files...so stream them to hifi or on USB stick for the car...keep the CDs safe in the boxes. Best route to album listening heaven I reckon, rather than expensive hi-fi, is good USB DAC/headphone amp unit and high quality open-back headphones. I look forward to seeing which bands/artists are best represented in your monster collection 👍😎
beaitful room, may i ask. do u have any a-ha albums? they are criminal underrated. their hunting high and low album is 10/10 if u ask me, and their 2 and 3 are very good too
Thankyou, I'm glad you have enjoyed the video. Yes I have Stay On These Roads, East of the Sun, West of the Moon, Memorial Beach & 2 compilations Headlines and Deadlines: The Hits of A-ha & The Singles: 1984-2004. If I find some more Ill make a video. :)
i just attended the last of their 3 concerts in los angeles on saturday night...tonight (04.12.2022), they are performing at radio city music hall in nyc....and i totally agree, HH&L is 100%! =)
Hi Autumn, I haven’t sold a single CD. But I do have another room full of CDs that have scratched copies and albums I don’t like. Nothing I own is very valuable or rare, so I sometimes have multiple copies of 1 album because I got it cheap. I have 15 copies of Beatles 1 compilation 😬. Thanks for commenting
@@BeatUpRecordsCDs Some stuff becomes fairly rare once it goes out of print and remains fairly popular ($5-15). Be careful because it's easy to get into a hoarding condition especially if you collect without purpose and just buy because it's cheap or maybe someday you'll find someone who likes it as much as you do. Are those metal racks? If they are, where did you get them?
Thanks for really bringing down to size mate ,I thought I had quite a collection ( 2,000+) cds .looks like I've got a long way to go.
Just buy the CD;s you enjoy. I could get rid of a lot of indie bands from Australia that I have. Thanks for watching mate.
Your heart must have skipped a beat when you saw The Best of Nana Mouskouri
I enjoy some songs. Im very eclectic when it comes to music.

Hi gerald. I have not put my collection on Discogs and their is very few CDs I own that hold any value. 😊
Cool collection.i have a rule if I buy 50cds I have to get rid of 50 cds from collection.it keeps numbers from blowing up.
Thankyou Patrick. I have a CD junk room where the CDs I don’t enjoy, are scratched, or many copies live for the time being until I donate them
I've picked up a Lisa Stanfield cd Affection in the last year, it's very good!
My dad was a book collector for years and seeing your collection of DVDs,CDs, LP albums is almost like my dad and his books, same difference.
Everyone’s collection of stuff is important to them. Whatever brings happiness. ☺️
I collect books and music
Good haul. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks man for watching.
The late, great *Mr. Marvin Gaye / Greatest Hits* for the win.
It’s a very complete and good compilation 🙂
Awesome collection, congratulations! how many Cds do you have nowadays?
Thankyou for watching. I have Over 15,000 CDs across 2 rooms

Hey mate, do you listen to all these CD’s, or just collect them?
Everything I buy I listen to and decide weather I keep it or add to my donation pile or sell.
@@BeatUpRecordsCDs ah okay. Your collection puts mine to shame nonetheless! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
That's a lot of cds where do you put all of your records at
In a separate part of the house 🙂

Why do you get multiples of fairly common titles? Do you sell online or at flea markets?
I have overlap but not on the same pressing of title.

@@DorianPaige00 those are all timber bookcases covered in laminate.
What was the approx cost/CD for this haul?
About $25
You own 15k,
How many you actually know all the songs on them?
I’ve listened to everything in my library 🙂
