No you are to sew 3 at the front and 3 at the back so while sewing the front side you will sew straight but at back you will not sew straight cos of the hip hope you understand

Please from the waist to hips that you called 6 inches is it for all or it depends

It's 6 inches plus the 2inches for band making it 8 inches but if you are very tall you can use 9 inches
