I love the Preatures, and I love that they incorporated Aboriginal language in their music. Very reminiscent of how people like Peter Garret of Midnight Oil and Paul Kelly were and are still involved with the community. The Preatures are a great example of an amazing current Australian band...legendary might I add. 💘
I just thought the song was catchy but then I watched this, it made me look into the background of the song, then the lyrics and well, now I'm just shattered to pieces. This is awesome :)
To say this is an awesome song would be an understatement! Adding to the '80s influence, the vision of the band playing their instruments underwater is reminiscent of the clip for "It Must Be Love" by Madness.
Went to their concert at Enmore the other week. The Preatures has this bad-boy-esque attitude in their songs, not lyrically expressed but the way they perform.
Seen these guys live when they opened for foo fighters in Australia. They also had Weezer. These guys were WAY WAY better live then Weezer. Awesome atmosphere... Shame they broke up
Awesome. Just found this. Named my daughter Mimi Yanada so very cool. Can't see any acknowledgement or story in the credits about Darug but anyway. Its beautiful
I reckon... this piece of gorgeousness would be perfect to include/play at the venue(s) for &/or in the broadcast of a certain event taking place on the lands of Wangal People of the Eora Nation at 20:00pm AEST (UTC/GMT+10) Wed16Aug23 (Tillies vs Lionesses FIFA WWC 2023). The music is uplifting, Izzy's voice is always golden &... well, feisty (that 2015 gig in The Domain, Los Sydney) & the lyrics just all seem so apposite- sisters, resisting cynicism, walking with, looking at one another, taking the dreams of those that came before into the future, etc. It'll be near an important river, but there'll be no Yanada (moon) although there are full moons this August (the 2nd known as a Blue Moon) & one is also "Super Moon" (appears larger than usual).
It is a travesty on a global scale that this doesn't have multi-millions of views
Amazing song. Isabella's little "Ooh!" just slays me every time. : )
me too
Heard this song in a cafe and thought what a great sound. Great lyrics and beat, why was this song not a hit on radio ? Well done to The Preatures.
This is on repeat in my ears.. ADORE!!! Cannot love it enough 🥰
Why wasn’t this a massive hit across Europe back then?? Just heard it now ❤

This is joy and life and inspiration and everything... in LOVE with this song.
Is this the great pop song of our time? I think this might be the great pop song of our time.
This song would be a hit in the 80's. Should be today, but sadly mainstream music in the UK is a polluted mess. Great tune, evokes good feeling.
Agreed
I've just played this song back to back four times and it just becomes more and more beautiful each time.
Thank you for this gift, Preatures. Like a quenching rain come to break the cultural drought of divisiveness. 👍🙏❤️
This band keeps getting better and better ..lucky us
Brilliant. After first hearing the story of how the song came about it's very moving.
Best Australian song for 30 years

I heard this in Eddie Bauer store and had to ask the clerk who this was. I came straight here. Beautiful. Takes me back to college in the 80's.
Bello, bello, bello!!! Me encanta! Saludos desde Argentina.

What a beautiful song this is.
This is/was a sleeper for me. At first I wasn't so sure, but it grows on you.
Great song...It reminds me of the 80's. I would love to have heard Chrissie Amphletts earthy tones on this one,...

*Wa Nura is spoken Ngurra-wa for ‘on country’
Gumada - spirit
Yanada - moon
From Preatures website.
My ex retail job played this song 24/7😂 it became my fav song
It sounds like something that would be played in kohls or yankee candle lol
I love it
Realising on vinyl?
Matt Nicholas the vinyl release is in October I believe.
ansioso pelo álbum. :)
At some point her voice resembles Stevie Nicks’s one and I ❤ Fleetwood Mac 😊
Somebody help me figure out what song this reminds me of. Particularly the beginning of the chorus when she sings "I" right before "open my eyes..."
Reminds me a bit of Texas, the Scottish 80s band... could it be that? I really love this BTW, very uplifting. ruclips.net/video/qhfSeUqfoP4/видео.html
Fleetwood Mac - Seven Wonders

Kinda annoyed that I have never heard this on the radio; it is so good! But fair enough, I don't listen to the radio much, anyways.
