Just got off the Venezia for Thanksgiving. I know your reviews are genuine but for my sailing they surprisingly stepped up and fixed the majority of the issues you discussed! Longest MDR wait time in peak times was 20 min, comedy show lines weren’t that long, food quality has been consistent, and never had to wait more than 5 min. for a Guy’s burger even on peak times at sea days. If you have the time and money to do so, would love for you to go on this ship again to see if there is a difference from your first sailing!
Hi @asiaaro! So glad to hear that Venezia is finally on the right track! We have so many other ships to go on that we doubt we will be going back on her at this time. We are excited for her turnaround and hope they keep this up for all future cruises. Thanks so much for watching!☺️
We were in same sailing as you. Agree with the lack of servers walking around to take drink orders. We had to go to the bar every time and wait in line. Agree 100% with the long lines everywhere and especially the comedy show. Your review was on spot!!! I’m hoping it will get better as they do more sailing but who knows. We were ok with the security dog on board. People need to respect the rules and if not, this dog will find them. Lol
Thanks for your honest and raw reviews. It's very nice to see someone actually not sugar coating and saying things as they were. We are sailing this ship in October and this video would be very helpful in preparing for it. Just Subscribed too😀
Hi @AJUS1214! Thanks so much for subscribing! We just want to share our opinions of what we were experiencing while on Venezia. We hope that they are able to work out the kinks before your sailing this fall. Have a wonderful cruise and thanks so much for watching!☺️
Such a great review - love your transparency and it's very helpful in considering booking on this ship. Those of us who sail the Venezia in the future will be informed and know to expect certain things ... like the lines. Thanks for sharing your perspective and honest feelings.
Hi @angbee! That’s the message we want to convey. We hope they are working on the issues and if you are prepared you should enjoy your cruise! Thanks for watching!☺️
Just returned from July 5-13 cruise venezia out of nyc.. overall fair..excessively crowded, and when i say crowded, i mean we walked around for over an hour on sea days looking for three chairs together. Mostly felt like part of a herd walking around- waiting in lines only to be turned away (aka comedy shows, food lines) Never even got to enjoy pool/ hot tub because of the amount of kids - which we have kids too but none even wanted to try and get in!! We used the HOT showers to cool off food was terrible all around (aside for the specialty restaurants $$$ but yummy and thankful for options) and do not cater to gluten. although when we booked they assured us they serve gluten sensitive menu. Some things were nice ( art, most staff) but negative definitely outweighed the good l. We are family size 7.. total bill 16k only bought 4 excursions and ate at restaurants twice. For reference ive sailed 4 other times never for 8 days. Im planning on sending in formal complaint but im waiting 24 hrs to meditate 🧘♀️
I was on the same sailing and felt the exact same way. I have probably been on 20 cruises between Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Disney and never have I been on a cruise that felt more crowded. Everything from embarkation to debarkation to everything in between was just crowds of people and long lines. The food and service were also terrible. I will also add that this is the first cruise I have been on where they did not have a splash pad area specific for kids in swim diapers. Many parents were angry which I don’t blame them. An 8 day cruise to the Caribbean needs to have a water area for small kids. Since the pool attendants were yelling at all the parents for the swim diapers the parents “solved” the problem by just removing the diaper all together so the kids could pee in the water. The pool attendants had no problem with this. I asked one why it was better to have my son pee in the water vs the diaper specifically made for the water and she actually tried to come up with some answer about how the water filters. Carnival definitely created a very unsanitary problem with this! Royal Caribbean and Disney both have splash pad areas for water diapers. This was my first carnival cruise in many years. I’m not sure I will be taking one ever again.
Hi Kelly! Sorry for your cruising issues. We sure hope they are working out the issues. We hope your next cruising adventure is great and thanks so much for watching!☺️
I just got off Carnival Celebration from Miami; their was a 110 pound, Doberman Drug Sniffing dog, when you were going through check in and he was onboard throughout the voyage. Carnival, is ULTRA serious about their new anti-drug policy!
Hi @lunadonyale6429! We are just being real about our experience. You know the saying you have to keep laughing to keep from crying…🥹😂Yes, the ship was over capacity in our opinion. Let’s hope they work on fixing this. Thanks for watching!☺️
This is why I stayed with Magic in Norfolk when it was deployed from New York, doing Venezia in February on a 12 day journey cruise when everything is fix
I cruised this Venezia ship twice. The first time for Christmas 2023 and May 2024. I would rate this cruise ship one of my best Carnival Cruise ship experiences. My food in the main dining area was great. My cabin was an oceanview with two bathing areas, a shower and separate tub area. My family and I enjoyed the entertainment and the cruise activities. I appreciate your comments and maybe this caused Carnival to step up their game. But I would definitely recommend cruise patrons to cruise the Venezia.
Hi @Iris.edwardsEdwards! So glad to hear that you had an amazing cruise. It sounds like they have stepped up, which is good! Thanks so much for watching!😊
Thank you for the review! I was searching for a cruise to take and your video really helps me to have an understanding of the Italian Fun Style of Carnival
Hi @mospointofview5216! You’re welcome. We have more vlogs coming soon where we go into detail of our Venezia cruise so stay tuned. Thanks so much for watching!☺️
I'm getting on the Venezia Saturday, September 16th. I'm gonna bring me some snacks. Some Vienna sausage and some sardines just in case. I can survive on that till I get back home within a week. I got off Mardi Gras last week and Dinning Rm service was not the greatest. Waiter said it was short staff and asked for patience. My friends and I ate at other venues and it was the same.
Thanks for your honest review. The 3 of you are great. My wife and I have a cruise on ship in April. We'll prepare and try to take everything in stride. Thanks, Stephen
Hi @stephenklapcuniak-el2mu! We just wanted to give an honest review of our cruise. We hope that you enjoy your trip on her in April. Thanks for watching!☺️
I was a die hard Carnival cruiser since 1989. I was a travel agent and Carnival had a promotion and we sold cruisers like crazy and when the time came to pay they came u with a lame excuse. I went to other cruise line and notice you pay a little more but worth it. I just sailed on The Venezia back in Sept. I needed an handicap cabin, and when I rode in to my cabin there was a pilar dead smack in the middle of the cabin. I had to get help to stand and hit the bed. These cabins were on Deck 7 front of the ship. I didn't bother to complain but cruisers beware if you need an accessible room don't take deck 7 forward. By the way I am a Diamond cruiser and this is what I received.
Cruising post-Covid is much different. People were cooped up during those years and Carnival gives travelers good rates. There are lots of people in New England and Venezia sails conveniently from NYC to a beautiful location that is very expensive for flights, hotels, and food while there. To other cruisers, other ships are crowded too while school is out. Comparing to a transatlantic cruise, BTW, is unfair. Demographics are totally different. Thanks to you guys for giving your detailed review. I will be on Venizia Oct 25-Nov 15 and will be appreciating you every day!
We just did the May 6 2024 cruise and everything was alright for us except the smoke in the casino. We are platinium at Carnival we we've been on most of the fleet, the Venezia is first a costa ship and built for the Asian region but they loose money with that ship, I think one more year and carnival should bring another ship in new-York. I remeber few years ago we took The Carnival Splendor and that ship was awesome in many way.
Hi @basscoverchanneldenisleduc! We are glad to hear you had a great cruise aboard the Venezia! We knew the history of the ship, but sadly, our experience was not up to par. Here’s hoping everyone who sails her has an awesome experience. Thanks for watching!😊
I really appreciate your information and the way you present it. I will say I’ve been on a dozen+ Carnival cruises, and I have NEVER had an MDR waiter ask about allergies. Nor have I ever seen drink service in the smoking section. Maybe those things are inconsistent in general, but at least I won’t miss the things I never had! 😉
OK, so this is a REAL review that includes ppl, places and all the THINGS. As a solo cruiser this is what i want to hear because i pay MONEY. Thank You.
Thank you for this review , I was seriously contemplating about booking for August .. now it’s up in the air lol. Do they have a spa? If so , did y’all go and how was it ? Because that’s one of the main things I want … thanks again
why i dont take new ships on the first few cruises..im going on nov 30 sure the issues are better now.. and i always do early MDR dining..and dnt go to the buffet only on disembarkation day..do tomodoro la strada grill seafood shack and sea day brunch..
Sailed 6/19-6/27! Was so disappointed I’m so shocked that carnival let the ship sail so understaffed. Our voyage had 4,600 people sailing AND about 1,100 crew members!!! The lines were OUT OF CONTROL. The main walk ways were always blocked and the buffet floors were always slippery!!! Four people that I know of fell and broke something. So disappointed in this ship. Hopefully it’ll get all it’s kinks smoothed out for its future sailings!
This review is spot on!!! I was on the 6/27/23-7/5/23 sail and we had the same experience! Food was horrible, over crowded and clearly lack of staff!! I felt everything was a wait…. Horrible way to spend your vacation.
New subscriber here. Thanks for your honest review. We were on horizon in July. There was good and bad, and we still had a great time. We found these great servers, we tried to get there early most nights to request that table. But the nights we didnt get them, the service was no where near as fast, so its not a kitchen problem I feel like its more a server problem. It was also SOOOO crowded. I feel like these bigger ships its not bigger you get- its more people you get! Since you are cruising regulars, which ship do you all prefer ?
Hi @b-more_adventurous! Thanks for subscribing! We just give our take on our travel experiences and don’t sugarcoat a thing! We did Horizon a few years back, before cruising was back full force, and it was a great cruise. With everything open now, we feel the cruise lines are packing folks in line sardines and the quality of service is definitely not as it was before. We like the Excel class Carnival ships, the Celebrity Edge class ships, the NCL Prima, and Royal Caribbean’s Oasis class ships. We have not had any major issues with those. Thanks so much for watching!☺️
Thanks for your review. I’m just getting off of the Mardi Gras. It was Great. Although, I had a flight issue to Florida which agitated me, I’m glad that I didn’t leave from NY now. I was debating initially.
It giving that just because there’s enough cabins for 4000 passengers, doesn’t mean the ship can actually comfortably accommodate 4000 people. It’s like they can’t handle the amount of passengers
I wonder if this was the same "Costa" crew that came with the ship. Possibly just not up to Carnival standards yet. I have NEVER had an experience like this on any Carnival sailing. I hate to hear this one was so bad for you all. I have noticed this summer though that these ships "feel" a TON more crowded than the last several cruises I have taken. Hope your next cruise is far superior!
Hi @tobylawson7682. Even so, we think that the two week transatlantic sailing before ours should have had them more prepared since this was only a four day sailing. We have had some issues on a Carnival sailing before, but none like this. Thanks so much for watching!☺️
Thank you for sharing your experience onboard Venezia 😔 I'm sailing Venezia tomorrow and have been looking forward to it, but I have seen a noticeable decline in the overall cruise experience since the restart on multiple ships and lines, so I'm keeping my expectations in check. 😎
I’m sorry this experience was not much better. I watch your previews video where you showed the lines and the sea day brunch. I’m scheduled to set sail on this ship in a few days 😢
Ever since I was introduced to cruising, I have chosen to cruise on Carnival. When I was informed that New York sailings would be on the new Venezia, I informed my travel partners, and we were ecstatic. The Venezia had a top that closed and ships leaving from New York would be available more times a year. This was great since it meant we did not have to fly to another state to cruise. The few pictures of the ship that were available on the website were spectacular and we could not wait for June 19th to come. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed. This is the second experience with Carnival that left a bad taste in my mouth. This one being the worst. First, let me say that the staff were amazing. Most of them went out of their way to apologize and make me feel better. Any issues I had were addressed quickly and efficiently. The Cabin Steward in charge of my room was amazing, but I misplaced his card and cannot remember his name. However, I was in room 8255 and am sure you will be able to find out who was assigned to my cabin on the June 19, 2023, cruise leaving from Manhattan. Kris (asst Cabin Steward) and Kevin (housekeeper) were also very attentive. Chantell (nail technician) and Magdalena (Spa therapist) are amazing. They both made the spa experience one that has convinced me that every cruise will now include a mani/pedi and deep tissue massage. In the casino, Cristal (Casino dealer), and Bar servers, Jhonatan and Eka made me feel better about coming to a casino that was poorly done as opposed to others I have been to on Carnival. The bar servers went out of their way to apologize for the lengthy wait for drinks. The Casino: Announcements over the loudspeaker could not be heard, even though the sound on the machines were turned off. If there was an emergency, those in the casino would never know. I am also surprised that the Carnival staff did not make anyone aware especially since it happened from the first day. I assumed that they would immediately make someone aware. However, after day 2, I repeatedly asked the staff to let someone know that announcement could not be heard. Size - When the Venezia was designed, no consideration was given to those of us that like to gamble. Am I wrong in my assumption that a large chunk of cruise lines revenue is from those of us who gamble. The casino was so small that every night guests had to wait to gamble, and we will not even discuss the Casino Annex. The annex was the size of my living room. Because of this, guests were in constant conflict over who was next to play the machine. There were times when I left because there were no available machines. As a member of the Players Club, I am an avid gambler and believe that someone needs to check the integrity of the machines. I did not expect to win all the time, but I suspect that they were designed not to pay at all, or they were tampered with or reset every evening. When you win some jackpots, it goes back to the minimum and builds again over time. I hit a major jackpot and days later, it still had not built back up. Many of the high rollers I spoke with felt the same and even said they would be calling the gambling commission once they returned home. If you send a survey to the gamblers, you will see how displeased they were because every where I went, it was one of the topics of discussion. Drinks - I have NEVER been to a casino that did not have its own bar. Getting a drink in the casino required a 30-minute wait. We were told this was because they were understaffed and because there was no bar. My drink of choice is “a kiss on the lips” and when I finally got my drink, I realized that depending on who delivered it, it tasted different EVERY time. As a bartender, I realize that this can happen sometimes, but not every time. Imagine our surprise when we learned that the servers were going into a small room off to the side of the casino and making the drinks themselves. This is not only unsanitary but makes me wonder what Carnival was thinking or do they even know that this is happening. I must say that when I ordered it at any bar, the taste was consistent. This needs to be corrected immediately. Servers are servers and should not be making drinks. The Food: The best choices on the ship were the deli, the omelet station, and the seafood shack, where I chose to eat as opposed to the other choices. The open and close times listed on the app, were often wrong. The first few nights, there were plenty of fixings to add to a salad, but no lettuce. The franks were grey and looked like they had freezer burn, sausage was undercooked and the first 2 days, there was no bacon. On the 3rd day when bacon was introduced as an option, we were only given 2 pieces. The ice cream stations were shut down most nights after midnight, generally they stay open, and you can get ice cream almost all night. I thought it had something to do with the curfew that was imposed on those under 18, but their curfew was 1:00 AM. The beverage stations, even the ice, water, and coffee, were randomly shut down and I was under the impression that they were open 24 hours and only closed to be cleaned or refilled.
Guy’s Burger - Since I started cruising, Guy’s has been my favorite meal. Imagine my surprise when we were told that now they closed at 5:00 leaving little options if you did not like what the lido dining room was serving. Usually, the line for Guy’s is the longest on the ship. Well not this time, after the first day, the wait for burgers were minimum. This is because they were tasteless and sometimes burnt. I was shocked when I bit into my first burger. Guy Fieri would be appalled if he tasted these burgers. The staff needs to be retrained on how to make them. Room Service - The room service menu was a joke. My other foods of choice were the chicken tenders and the Caesar salad offered on the room service menu. The chicken tenders were disgusting with more batter than chicken, and salad is no longer a choice. The menu only offered meat and drinks, no salad, no fries, no desserts, none of the menu choices I am accustomed to. I have 3 more cruises scheduled and wonder if this is what I have to look forward to or is this a Venezia issue. During a conversation with a fellow gambler, I was shocked to hear that a cabin steward had walked in on her grandson while he was sleeping. When she confronted the steward and his supervisor, the steward informed the supervisor that they had run out of Do Not Disturb/Snoozing signs. This sounds bizarre, especially since the number of cabins aboard the ship do not change and this is a BASIC requirement for each cabin. I was also disappointed to learn that some of the Oceanview rooms have a bathtub, which I thought were only available in suites and some balconies. Why isn’t this advertised on the website, cause had I known, I would have taken the Oceanview rather than my balcony. None of the ships state which rooms have tubs and I would think that is something you might want people to know. The channels in the rooms left much to be desired and I do not understand why the movies you showed at the Dive in Movies had to paid for if you watched it in your room. Why isn’t it an option to watch it in your room? It just seemed like the Venezia was charging for everything they could. Why isn’t the popcorn for the movie free? Why is there no melted butter to put on the popcorn? I must say that Carnival’s Island, Half Moon Cay, is amazing and has one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. On the day we visited, we chose to get off at 1:00 because of the crowds of those who wanted to go early. Imagine my surprise to find that by the time we got off the shuttle and took the long walk to the barbeque, the buffet was closed, and we were unable to eat. This was the experience of many of the guests and was discussed during the shuttle back to the ship. I am semi-retired and cruise at least 3 times per year. Although many of my travel buddies have suggested other cruise lines, I always stand up and insist on Carnival. I am beginning to think seriously about other options. I am scheduled on Venezia again on August 14th and wish I could change ships. At least its only 5 days instead of 8.
Although I think most of your issues are related to reorganizing after the restart (i've had those issues on many cruises this past year and a half, I encourage you to try some other cruise lines. I use all of the lines, they have their own different vibes but go to the same ports, and serve similar food etc. The options have been meager on all compared to pre covid but I do believe Carnival is doing more about that than many trying to balance making money to pay their increased debt and interest rates while still offering decent service. All the lines are trying to balance this scenario. I have enjoyed NCL< Princess, RC (careful their ships are huge and over burden ports imo) and Celebrity. All had plusses and minus but generally I found things to enjoy on all. Carnival for bang for buck is my favorite and treats Casino players better than the rest but I always check several lines when I'm looking for a particular itinary and take the best price for the places I want to go. It's nice to see everyone's differing ships
@@parkersspaceVenezia DOES NOT CARE ABOUT the casino players. O f all the ships Ive been on, THE VENEZIA has the worst casino, and i have never been in a casino that didn't have a bar.
I sailed June 27th, I thought it was just me but I did not like the Venezia, I will not sail it again I had a great time because I'm gonna make sure I do but the ship experience was a thumb down. Your review is 100% accurate!
Hi @traceywilliams! We just wanted to give our honest opinion of our time on Venezia. Just as you, other people didn’t have as great as experience as they wished. Here’s hoping the ship has gotten better and others who are now sailing are enjoying themselves! We appreciate you watching!☺️
Thanks for the review. As far as the Cabin crew we just went through the same thing on an NCL. Waiting online for dining rooms were bad at certain times. Sad they don't have more of a lunch option on Carnival. My best friend is going on this ship tomorrow so hopefully it will be better for her now. As far as empty tables while there's a lineup for dinner we also had that on the NCL. The issue is I guess all these cruise lines are cutting back on staff and that's the reason for the cabin crew working so late getting rooms done. and open tables. No love and marriage??? That sucks. No comic on this ships are good enough to stand on a line like that! I think as far as the security it's probably because there's been an uptick of fighting going on and that could happen anywhere on the ship so that's why they'd be all over. We're going back on a Celebrity because after the NCL we're done with that ship. We are thinking about another Carnival maybe next year and this ship although looks pretty I'm not so sure now. We'll see what my friend says. You are a lovely family.
Hi @Karly! We are sad to hear of your difficulties while traveling as well. We hope that your future adventures are more enjoyable. We appreciate your comment and thanks for watching!☺️
Hi @julietteseligmiller8437! You’re welcome. You will really enjoy Mardi Gras! Yes, summer cruises tend to be crowded, but we felt like this was over capacity. Check out our more detailed vlogs of Venezia coming soon. Thanks so much for watching!☺️
I noticed that on all the ships I went on the service is very slow for the guests in the main dining room. I noticed people that worked on the ship was eating and they got their food very very quickly in the main dining room.
Hi @InfiniteMillsEntTV! It depends on what you want to do. If you are a lounge in the sun/pool person, you may have difficulty accessing a lounger and experiencing a crowded pool. We suggest getting their super early. We hope the issues we discussed will be worked out before your cruise. Have a great cruise and thanks for watching!☺️
Wow, I hate that yall had a bad experience. I watched MH vlogs and it looks like she had a great experience. I guess cruising is just too subjective. I'm looking forward to giving this one a try.
Hi @sharonh2172! Yes, it’s amazing how folks can share the same space and have very different perspectives. That’s what makes the world go round.😄 We hope you have an enjoyable cruise and thanks for watching!☺️
Hi @Pintopam! You can purchase water pre-cruise on the Carnival website as well or use your own personal bottle to fill up at the drink stations around the ship. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!☺️
Y'all talking about the dog had me weak. Not Arty taking pictures LOL! I've only been on one Carnival cruise (Vista) and had the same complaint about the comedy club/shows. My husband and I tried to go to a comedy show on the Vista and WOW, was it packed. I realized they were doing back to back shows and the first group of people just never left! No matter how early we got to the (second) show, we were already set up to fail! :O Thanks for the honest review. :)
Hi @K! Yes, Arty profiling for pics was a vibe😂 We are hearing that things may be a little better on the Venezia, but there is still work to do. You’re right about the comedy shows too. They need to clear out the venue after every show so that others can enjoy them as well. Thanks for watching!☺️
We just got off this ship last week (July 17-25 sailing) and everything you said was totally accurate. We are loyal carnival customers and this ship was waaaay different and not in good ways. Lots of lines, lots of crew who seemed to have no clue. As for the good our wait staff was wonderful, our steward was great and we loved the pizza…and our ports were awesome. But I hope carnival hears all the people bc the line on our cruise for customer service was around the atrium at all hours of the day most days we were on…and they were helping no one.
Hi @shelby! Sorry to hear that there were still issues during your sailing. Yes, we hope that they will take the steps needed to make this ship and future cruises enjoyable for their customers. Thanks so much for watching!☺️
I feel like they made the ship large enough to hold all of them cabins, but not large enough to have expanded common areas that are fit for capacity. A very cute lil ship and all but it's just a terrible layout. I will be on the sister ship Firenze next year for the inaugural and I just know we are going to run into all the same problems.
My wife and I were on the Venezia on the Barcelona to NYC inaugural cruise. Your review is 100% correct (both the good and bad). We were very disappointed in the food in the Main Dining Room along with the endless waits to be seated and finally get food. I did think that the staff did try their best though.
I was about to book a cruise on this ship from NYC and I had second thoughts in doing this because it’s sailing from my home state and I know it was going to be some issues but after seeing your review of this ship I will fly from Florida and take another ship
Hi @lisalee! We are just letting folks know what we experienced on this ship. We are hoping that the are resolving the issues ASAP. Enjoy your future cruise and thanks so much for watching!☺️
Just got off the ship this past Saturday, nothing has changed! You are 100% correct. Total confusion trying to get on and off the ship with no guidance from any crew members. Not worth the money at all.
Hi @kenwhite! We are sorry to hear that some of the issues we addressed over a month ago are ongoing. We hope that despite that, you were able make the best of the situation and enjoy your cruise. Thanks so much for watching!☺️
I was there and agree on just about everything you said. The best experience we had was at Bonsai Sushi and the Teppanyaki . we NEVER seen our room steward till I went to GS and then after that he didnt clean our room except to make the bed. Our dirty glasses just piled up for 4 days. Not one person called me by name, If you werent the repeat passenger they totally ignored you. I rate the whole trip a 4 out of 10.
Hi @lysa64! Yes, there were some major issues on this Venezia sailing. The room attendant assigned to our room was not the greatest either. Hopefully they will get things in order! Thanks for watching!☺️
Hi @elishagreen4423! We just want our fam to know what they could possibly be getting into, but we hope that they figure things out soon. Thanks so much for watching!☺️
Only thing I don’t agree with are the stewards. They only work 8-8 and so what? They work *every single day* for 6-8 months straight. You best believe I’m not working before 8am or after 8pm no questions asked lol
Hi @GrantsAdventures! We didn’t ask them to work outside of their assigned hours. Q asked if they would clean our room sooner rather than later WITHIN their scheduled hours because he wasn’t feeling well and wanted to rest without having to get up to answer the door and risk missing our room being cleaned. Our room steward was callous with their response and his attitude was off from when we first met them, which was a day into the cruise. We value everyone and respect the jobs that they do, but working this profession is a choice that they made and we didn’t think it was unreasonable, especially when we witnessed and heard them being accommodating to other guests. Thanks for watching!☺️
My wife and I went on the vista when it came out. I hated that ship for the same reasons yall disliked this ship. We started going on royal Caribbean and never looked back. I’d rather pay the extra money for royal.
Hi @javiernieves329! We don’t mean to do that, just share our honest opinions about our experience. I sure hope they work out the kinks and your sailing is much better. Thanks for watching and enjoy your cruise!☺️
@@JoseSanchez-vm6gw it was great, we didn’t experience nothing of what people complained about, were there some lines yes, but within 5-10 minutes you had what you waited for, the only time we had to wait for the main dining was on lobster tail night which on my cruise was day 6, but again nothing crazy, we waited 15 minutes pass out time to be seated & that was for 11 of us, the boat is configured a bit different to what we are use too but if it’s your first cruise you won’t have a problem, all in all i give it a 4 out 5, only because i like Royal Caribbean Oasis class ships. But you will enjoy yourself… have fun!
@alizehustle9385 thanks for unsubscribing. We really appreciate the fact that we don’t have to interact with people like you who think it’s okay to bombard someone’s comments to bully folks for their personal experiences that don’t align with YOUR beliefs. ☺️
You know what’s also crazy is when this ship was with Costa it was also rated the 1st or 2nd worst ship in the industry on cruise critic. And it was all for most of the reasons you listed.
def. lines were an issue. I never got breakfast in buffet bc the lines were obnoxious for a ship that boasts as much as Carnival boasts this ship. I'm giving in another shot for an off season cruise. Hope it is a ton better.
Wow, this is sad to hear and I’m sorry y’all experienced such lackluster times. I’m boarding the Venezia in a few days and it’s a sold out sailing. I’m anticipating the lines but hopefully, some of the kinks will be worked out. 🙏🏽
Hi @DollyM124! Yes, we have been on the Excel class ships and they were no where near as long the lines that were on Venezia. Let’s hope they can work this out soon. Thanks so much for watching!☺️
Hi @tiffanyb.! We are so sorry to hear of your current experience on the ship. We hope that you are making the best of it and in spite of the challenges, will try to enjoy your cruise. Thanks for watching!☺️
I’m fine with them falling flat on the Italian theme, I just need them to get the food and those lines under control. I’ll be on Venezia in October so hopefully they will be running more efficiently by then. Thank you so much for the heads up. Nobody else was telling all of these things and knowing what you’re walking into makes even the rough situations easier to bear.
Im pretty sure the translantic didn't have 4,000 people. Im going soon. The only things I don't are the lines and the security and K9. Im happy to get on a Carnival ship that has a differnt decor.
Hi @Howard T! If you’re on FB, join a Carnival Venezia group and check out what the most recent cruise folks are saying. That may give you some insight. Thanks for watching!☺️
I will be on Venezia on December 6th for the third time and never had an issue with food, servers, room attendant, anything. Sometimes when i walk in certain areas the ship is hot but thats the least of my concerns. Seems y'all just too picky.
Love the review. This ship is a no for me. I have watched a few vlogs and the ship doesn't seem pleasing to the eye. I love Q's cut throat comments😂! I did not like the stateroom set up. I haven't sailed with Carnival since 2010 and I really want to try them again. But not this ship...lol
Thank you for the video. I’m sailing the 27th. I wasn’t happy when Carnival switched the Magic for this ship. I hope they will improve some things. No Love and Marriage oh no that’s my favorite show.
Hi @chevonnebutler2859! Yes, there was no Love and Marriage show on our sailing, hopefully they bring it back in addition to working on the other issues soon. Enjoy your cruise and thanks so much for watching!☺️
I truly don't see Carnival continuing the "Carnival Fun Italian Style" thing for very long. I think we will see Venezia and Firenze converted to traditional Carnival ships in the future. Many people don't understand that Costa is owned by Carnival Corporation & plc, the parent company of Carnival Cruise Line. These two ships were ordered for Costa to serve the Chinese market, which was a complete failure. Carnival was desperate for tonnage, but didn't have the capital for more new ships after the Excel class was built. This was a cheap way for Carnival to add tonnage and recoup the money lost building these ships for China.
I said the same exact thing last year when my family and I traveled from Spain to New York, this was the worst cruise I’ve ever been on with carnival and the food was horrible.
Loved the review but hate you guys had to experience that 😢Seems like they are over filling these ships to get some of the money back they may have lost through covid. Just my opinion 🤷🏽♀️
Really sad to hear that people were ready to go home. Interested to see how they work out the kinks. Thanks for yalls honesty and keeping it real in this review.
We have been on inaugural cruises before and not encountered these issues, Carnival ships included. Let’s hope they work out the issues quickly @carlajackson3261. Thanks again for watching!☺️
😂😂😂😂 i have been on many vista class ships and there are line at comedy and other areas. Funny how there is complaining that its the same as other carnival ships and not enough Italian spin....yet also complaine that there was no love and marriage show. So do you want the same or different.
Hi @joseph! Sooo…if you truly watched our vlogs, you can see the longer than normal lines on the ship. We have over 20+ cruises under our belt and believe me, we know the difference between a line that you have to wait in for a few minutes as opposed to one where you are standing in line for over an hour to enjoy a show or eat dinner in the MDR. And yes, they had a lack of “Italian Fun” on our sailing…and fyi, we found out that love and marriage was not on our four day sailing, but was on the longer eight day ones. You are clearly are a Carnival fan, but what you won’t do is discount our REAL experience on the Venezia. We appreciate you watching so much!☺️
Well damn. I haven't cruised since 2020 and am cruising on the Venezia in August. Hopefully some of the things y'all mentioned will be ironed out. I am a veteran cruiser with over sixty cruises under my belt.
It's not the usual low class carnival quality ship. I'll never sail carnival again but wanted to see what Costa was all about. I've so far seen nothing but fantastic reviews. No more of the carnival ship for me,S.S. Minnow would be a better choice than carnival
Hi @percyw! S.S. Minnow…🤣 We are happy to hear that the ship has been great for cruises after our trip. We hope you have an enjoy cruise future, which ever cruise line you choose to sail! Thanks so much for watching!☺️
Ugh you know I am going on this ship in a few months and e v e r y t h I n g you are saying is what I am hearing from everyone from your cruise to the transatlantic….sorry you had to deal with this, cruising is supposed to be relaxing! I am praying they work this out! I also heard some horror stories of the lines waiting in port on the transatlantic trying to get back onto the boat!
I was on that cruise and y’all are 100% accurate. My friend and I had the same experience and we were very disappointed
Hi @tinacloke2821! Let’s hope they work on the issues as soon as possible. Thanks so much for watching!☺️
Lol
Hi @kimmeyer4349! We are definitely in agreement especially with the security dog on board😂 Thanks so much for watching!☺️
Thanks, stinks when you plan this out and then its just ok!! I definitely am ok with security dogs on board. No bother to us .
I’m not trying to be rude but how can all the free food on the entire ship be bad?
@CS48293 the food we highlighted/discussed was not great. We had some hits, but a lot were missed. Thanks for watching!☺️
I just got off Carnival Celebration from Miami; their was a 110 pound, Doberman Drug Sniffing dog, when you were going through check in and he was onboard throughout the voyage. Carnival, is ULTRA serious about their new anti-drug policy!
Hi @bodyloverz! Yes, their crackdown fleet-wide is serious business! Thanks for watching!☺️
@@qnsvlogs I stayed 20 days on Virgin Valliant Lady; if you wanna do hard drugs, Virgin is wide open!
Hollering! 😂😂😂 I love this review. Instant classic. Looked way too crowded to me.
Hi @lunadonyale6429! We are just being real about our experience. You know the saying you have to keep laughing to keep from crying…🥹😂Yes, the ship was over capacity in our opinion. Let’s hope they work on fixing this. Thanks for watching!☺️
The ship is very good, sailing on her right now. No major complaints
This is why I stayed with Magic in Norfolk when it was deployed from New York, doing Venezia in February on a 12 day journey cruise when everything is fix
Hi @scottweinfeld6849! We sure hope they will by that time. Have a great cruise and thanks for watching!☺️
This is an honest review. Nothing has changed. You pay and deal with long lines everywhere you go in the cruise.
Hi @michellep! We had hoped it got better. Sorry for your experience and here’s hoping your next cruise is a pleasant one. Thanks for watching!😊
Thank you for the review! I was searching for a cruise to take and your video really helps me to have an understanding of the Italian Fun Style of Carnival
Hi @hysoch! You’re welcome! This was our experience and others have had very different experiences on this ship. We appreciate you watching!☺️
Thanks for the quick review. I hope you guys are going to do a longer review about this ship. I want to see more of it.😊
Hi @mospointofview5216!
Hi @tinaduncan! We hope you have a wonderful cruise on the Venezia. Thanks so much for watching!☺️
Hi @vernaclepper! Cruising has changed in the last four years. We hope you have a wonderful cruise on the Venezia and thanks for watching!😊
Hi @andrewbrown! Yes, it shows major inconsistencies indeed! Thanks so much for watching!☺️
I’ve never had drink service in the smoking area either
OK, so this is a REAL review that includes ppl, places and all the THINGS. As a solo cruiser this is what i want to hear because i pay MONEY. Thank You.
Hi @presentfuturefoundation! We appreciate you watching and glad that this was helpful for you!☺️
Thank you for this review , I was seriously contemplating about booking for August .. now it’s up in the air lol. Do they have a spa? If so , did y’all go and how was it ? Because that’s one of the main things I want … thanks again
Hi @morenita_nyc! The ship has one, but we didn’t go. Make the best decision for you. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!☺️
@@qnsvlogs you’re welcome and I have now subscribed to your channel 🙂
Thanks so much @morenita_nyc!🥰
why i dont take new ships on the first few cruises..im going on nov 30 sure the issues are better now.. and i always do early MDR dining..and dnt go to the buffet only on disembarkation day..do tomodoro la strada grill seafood shack and sea day brunch..
Sailed 6/19-6/27! Was so disappointed
I’m so shocked that carnival let the ship sail so understaffed.
Hi @amandanmo! I’m sorry your voyage was not great. Let’s hope they do work the issues out. Thanks so much for watching!☺️
Terrible to hear!! We saw a few falls as well.
This review is spot on!!! I was on the 6/27/23-7/5/23 sail and we had the same experience! Food was horrible, over crowded and clearly lack of staff!! I felt everything was a wait…. Horrible way to spend your vacation.
Hi @mabelsantiago! Sorry to hear that. We sure hope that that have begun to address these issues. Thanks for the support and watching!😉
Hi @empressvibes! Glad you enjoyed your cruise and we appreciate you watching!☺️
It giving that just because there’s enough cabins for 4000 passengers, doesn’t mean the ship can actually comfortably accommodate 4000 people. It’s like they can’t handle the amount of passengers
Hi! Yes, this cruise was very crowded and you can FEEL how crowded it is based on the ship layout! Thanks for watching 😊
I value your opinion! I’m going on Venezia in July so hopefully the food quality and processes improve.
Hi @blacktina17! Yes, let’s hope that they will have it together by then. Thanks so much for watching!☺️
I always hear bad reviews right after a new ship launches. After some time things always improve. Not sure why it always has to be that way.
How was it?
Good point!! Could be new crew. If only we were aware of this ‘testing’
@@qnsvlogs The Costa crews do have this reputation.
I’m planning a Venezia cruise 2024! Hope they get things working by then!
Hi @susankempthorne! We hope they do as well. Hope your cruise is a great one and thanks for watching!☺️
Thank you for sharing your experience onboard Venezia 😔 I'm sailing Venezia tomorrow and have been looking forward to it, but I have seen a noticeable decline in the overall cruise experience since the restart on multiple ships and lines, so I'm keeping my expectations in check. 😎
Hi @themusterdrill! Although our experience on Venezia was not what we hoped, we are wishing you a great cruise. Thanks so much for watching!☺️
I’m sorry this experience was not much better. I watch your previews video where you showed the lines and the sea day brunch. I’m scheduled to set sail on this ship in a few days 😢
Yes, we do hope they improve it by then! Have a wonderful trip 😊
Hi @ojsbabygirl! Sorry to hear of your issues. It seems they have began to work on some of the issues, which is a good thing. Thanks for watching!☺️

I just booked a cruise on this ship next month. I really hope they get all your concerns figured out by then!
Hi @jennifer3754! Hopefully the issues will be resolved soon. Enjoy your cruise and thanks for watching!☺️
How was your experience?
Wow, I hate that yall had a bad experience. I watched MH vlogs and it looks like she had a great experience. I guess cruising is just too subjective. I'm looking forward to giving this one a try.
Hi @sharonh2172! Yes, it’s amazing how folks can share the same space and have very different perspectives. That’s what makes the world go round.😄 We hope you have an enjoyable cruise and thanks for watching!☺️
Is it best to purchase water on the Venezia or can we get it for our water bottles at the buffet?
Hi @Pintopam! You can purchase water pre-cruise on the Carnival website as well or use your own personal bottle to fill up at the drink stations around the ship. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!☺️
@@qnsvlogs Thanks for the info!
I did however, enjoy the glass shower doors. That was a bonus....
Hi @ojsbabygirl! Yes, they were despite other things. Thanks so much for watching!☺️
Hi @Imseeraw! Yes! Let’s hope they work it out for Venezia and the Firenze. Have a great cruise and thanks for watching!☺️
My wife and I were on the Venezia on the Barcelona to NYC inaugural cruise. Your review is 100% correct (both the good and bad). We were very disappointed in the food in the Main Dining Room along with the endless waits to be seated and finally get food. I did think that the staff did try their best though.
Hi @mayplace1961! We hope that they are working on these issues. Sorry for your experience as well. Thanks for watching!☺️
I am considering booking NYC 11/2024. Maybe not.
Which ship did you decide on?
When did you travel?
@rodarizan we traveled June 2023.
Thanks for your review, will be sailing this soon so this helps👍🏾
Hi @Melodiejourney! We hope you have an amazing cruise. Thanks SO much for watching!☺️
Thanks for the heads up.. gotta rethink my trip now.
I’m going on this ship late October. I hope that they have everything worked out by then.
Hi @sneakerheadnaeee! We hope your cruise is a great one as well. Thanks for watching!☺️
@@qnsvlogs Appreciate that. I will try to come back afterwards and give my input .
@sneakerheadnaeee we would appreciate that!😊
Thank you guys for the review, you guys always keep it real😊😊
I appreciate your review. It seems like service is deteriorating across all cruise lines and it’s a shame because the cost of cruising is increasing.
Hi @harrietsmallwood! Yes, which is a bit disappointing. Thanks so much for watching!☺️
You are right about room stewarts & wifi seems to work better in public places versus your room.
love your videos and honesty you guys are hysterical and informative all in one 🤩 🤗🤣
Hi @michelledorando2570! Thanks so much for watching. We appreciate the ❤️. ☺️
My wife and I went on the vista when it came out. I hated that ship for the same reasons yall disliked this ship. We started going on royal Caribbean and never looked back. I’d rather pay the extra money for royal.
Hi @stopandjustthinkforasecond! Indeed! Thanks so much for watching!😊
These people are scaring the crap out of me for my 7/17 sailing…
Hi @javiernieves329! We don’t mean to do that, just share our honest opinions about our experience. I sure hope they work out the kinks and your sailing is much better. Thanks for watching and enjoy your cruise!☺️
How was your experience? We are going in early 2024.
I understand some lines but 20-30 min for everything really make me think about not booking this ship
Hi @Lovetheworldbeone! We say just be prepared for the possibility of long lines everywhere. Let’s hope they can fix this soon. Thanks for watching!☺️
def. lines were an issue. I never got breakfast in buffet bc the lines were obnoxious for a ship that boasts as much as Carnival boasts this ship. I'm giving in another shot for an off season cruise.
Hope it is a ton better.
Hi @eringarvia! Sorry for your issues on the cruise. Here’s hoping your next cruise aboard her will be much better. Thanks so much for watching!😊
Wow, this is sad to hear and I’m sorry y’all experienced such lackluster times. I’m boarding the Venezia in a few days and it’s a sold out sailing. I’m anticipating the lines but hopefully, some of the kinks will be worked out. 🙏🏽
Hi @AJaxx207! Yes, let’s hope it gets better before your cruise. Enjoy and thanks so much for watching!☺️
how did it go
This review is brilliant- fantastic. OMG Artie - an interaction with Artie and not a positive one - classic. 😂
Hi @katcalico9142! Thanks so much for watching. Glad you enjoyed it!😆
Damn,
I’ve only been on one cruise before and it was royal Caribbean which I enjoyed. This scares me before my carnival cruise upcoming on Thursday.
Hi @brianc. Despite our experience, we hope you have a great cruise and thanks for watching!🙏🏾
Those lines are crazy 😮
Hi @DollyM124! Yes, we have been on the Excel class ships and they were no where near as long the lines that were on Venezia. Let’s hope they can work this out soon. Thanks so much for watching!☺️
Im on here now, and I fully agree with your review
Hi @tiffanyb.! We are so sorry to hear of your current experience on the ship. We hope that you are making the best of it and in spite of the challenges, will try to enjoy your cruise. Thanks for watching!☺️
Inside cabin 😮 Sounds like first time cruisers Blue, Red and Gold card holders. Platinum and Diamond card holders 😊
Hi @mzqueenb! We are platinum cardholders!😜 Thanks for watching!🤣
Hi @avaa1217! We are glad this video has been helpful to you. Thanks so much for watching and have a great cruise!☺️
I'm suppose to be sailing in october as well. I'm checking videos before to see how the ship is. Hope things get better before then
Thanks for your honest review 👍🏽 ❤ New subbie here.
Hi @Kay-Kay! You’re welcome and we appreciate you subscribing!☺️
Im pretty sure the translantic didn't have 4,000 people. Im going soon. The only things I don't are the lines and the security and K9. Im happy to get on a Carnival ship that has a differnt decor.
Hi @stuffdownhitthefan! We hope you have a great cruise and thanks for watching!☺️
Thank you for this.
Hi @tinacarter4275! You’re welcome and thanks for watching!☺️
Was thinking about taking this ship as my first cruise but now I’m having second thoughts.
Hi @Howard T! If you’re on FB, join a Carnival Venezia group and check out what the most recent cruise folks are saying. That may give you some insight. Thanks for watching!☺️
jul 13...hope its a lil better
Hi @GardeningWithSkinnyBoyRandy! I hope so as well. Enjoy your cruise and thanks for watching!☺️
I will be on Venezia on December 6th for the third time and never had an issue with food, servers, room attendant, anything. Sometimes when i walk in certain areas the ship is hot but thats the least of my concerns. Seems y'all just too picky.
Your opinion @jfeliz, but thanks for the view!😂
Thanks to you and all the other posters for the advice on allergies and gluten. This sounds like a nightmare for me. Getting closer to a no for me. 😢
Hi @tpbchocoholic! We’re glad to provide that info to you. We appreciate you watching!😊
Hi @misspenny4687! Yes, he does not hold back😂 Hopefully they will get it together on this ship soon. Thanks so much for watching!☺️
Going on Venezia in a few weeks. I am starting to regret booking this cruise already.
Hi @louannpalmiero! We hope they are making the effort to address the issues and that you have a great cruise. Thanks for watching!☺️
Going on this Saturday 🐸
Hi @JNTravels! We hope things have gotten better and you have a safe and enjoyable cruise! Thanks for watching!☺️
Oof, thanks so much for the honest review.
Hi @wowitskevin! Yes, we knew.
I said the same exact thing last year when my family and I traveled from Spain to New York, this was the worst cruise I’ve ever been on with carnival and the food was horrible.
Hi @sharifajplus! We are sorry to hear that your cruise was not great on the Venezia. We hope that your next cruise is fabulous! Thanks for watching!😊
Loved the review but hate you guys had to experience that 😢Seems like they are over filling these ships to get some of the money back they may have lost through covid. Just my opinion 🤷🏽♀️
Hi @love2nurse2! Yes, the ship was at a reported 4600, way too many. Let’s hope they fix this soon. Thanks so much for watching!☺️
sorry for your experience, i sail on the Venezia in February 2024 for 12 days hopefully they will work it all out
Hi @ZOLAN723! Yes, we hope they will work things out quickly. Thanks so much for watching and enjoy your cruise!☺️
Man y'all some tough critics
Hi @meka! Just giving OUR honest opinion and we think that it was definitely overhyped. Thanks for watching!☺️
Good review. Hope they fix these issues by the time I sail in November....
Hi @havefunoutthere6378! Yes, that would be ideal. Have a great cruise and thanks for watching!☺️
You sailing the 11 day November cruise from the 9th -21?
@@CG-hm2wb Yep!
@@havefunoutthere6378 see you on the boat!
@@CG-hm2wb Coming out from California. You?
Really sad to hear that people were ready to go home. Interested to see how they work out the kinks. Thanks for yalls honesty and keeping it real in this review.
Hi @philanddeetravels! Yes, let’s hope they work on the issues soon. We appreciate you watching!☺️
Do you find the enormous hiccups happen during the initial sailings?
We have been on inaugural cruises before and not encountered these issues, Carnival ships included. Let’s hope they work out the issues quickly @carlajackson3261. Thanks again for watching!☺️
@@qnsvlogs 👍🏽
Hi @beverlyrhett3515! Yes, we hope they have the issues worked out before your cruise. Have a great cruise and thanks so much for watching!☺️
I say it was different i guest thy fix it but i love it and the theme is love
The NIGHTCLUB must also be in a different area other than the Little, Hot, & Humid Comedy Lounge. Makes absolutely no sense.
The comedy club doubles as the nightclub on the Venezia.
Same thing on the Vista class panorama Vista Horizon. It gets so hot and humid inside the nightclub almost unbearable.
Hi @jamieb465! Let’s hope they have worked out the kinks by that time. Have a great cruise and thanks so much for watching!☺️
I hate this ship too
